"Teddy Bear Song" by Tanya Tucker is a sad song about wanting to get away from love's hurt. The words make you think of a teddy bear, wishing for a simple life without feeling sad. The person singing wishes they could be like a toy with no worries or sadness. They want to forget about lost love and be happy again. The song's gentle music and honest words show how much the singer wishes they could go back and avoid falling in love, to feel better.

One of the greatest voices ever. Tanya kinda did things by her own rules which I have to respect.
She has so many great songs I cannot name them. Some duets too.
❤Tanya
Grew up with her🧸
Tanya is absolutely THE best female singer in the world.
I have tears in my eyes as I sing this. My aunt raised me and she used to sing this song everyday. She loves tanya and shania. I miss her so much

Tanya Tucker is one of my favorite singer; my first record when I was 14 was by her. Georgia Sun Was Blood Red and Gone Down. She is my age; I'm glad that I had her songs through my life and still to enjoy.

Pitter Patter Daycare : I did as well Pitter. I enjoy "Old School" Country Music.
@@larrydavis4019 Me, too. Today's so-called country is nothing but a sick joke. Starting around 1990 country music went to hell in a handbasket.
Kevin my kindred spirit where have you been all my life. Thank you for your comment friend. I'm sure you were as 💔 as I was when The Gambler passed away. 1 of the 1's my ❤️ went out to was Miss Dolly. It broke me sir when I saw her in an interview speaking on behalf of 2 of her favorite people. Like to 👂 back from you if possible. Take care. 😁👍😁👍😁👍😁👍😁👍
My favorite in my entire lifetime, my whole life searching for this. Great Birthday gift. Thank You God and my Mom.
Miss Tanya is the epitome of what it means to be a Honkey Tonk 👼. 💘🌹💘🌹💘🌹💘🌹💘🌹💘🌹💘🌹💘🌹
Me and my grandma would watch Tanya tucker when I was 4. Makes me cry. Great mems
We were having a family (and friends) party, with a karaoke. My mum was hassling me to sing something because at the time I had a pretty voice. I didn't have confidence though and kept saying no. But I looked through the song list and saw this song and knew it enough to give it a try. I expected to be laughed at (baddddd self-confidence). Up I went and on came the music and I began to sing. The chatting and laughing together stopped and apart from the music and my singing, the room was silent. Everyone was stunned, not least me at the voice coming out of me. That was when I was around fifteen years old and I'm now forty-four years old and my mum still talks about it. It was actually the last time I sang in public and oh boy was it a heck of a way to go out lol
Love Tanya ❤🥰😇🙏🇺🇸
I love this song by Tanya Tucker
Never get tired of listening to this one! An all time great for sure.
This song was first released by Barbara Fairchild in December of 1972 and became her only #1 song, in March of 1973. Many have covered the song, but Fairchild's version will always be my favorite!
Ya she screwed it up in 72 already , doesn't seem thaat long
I like this version better
Both versions are amazing!
my mom used to sing this on road trips....when my older sister would join in with her.
Love this. My momma sang/sings this all the time, and always in the car on trips, and all other Tanya Tucker music, and I was/am the oldest sister that always sings with her.

Don't know why this song popped in my head today July 2021. Sounded good by Tanya!
You know how music evokes strong emotions? I'm 49 going on dead and hadn't head this song since I was a kid singing it with my dad. Heard it on the radio today and just broke out bawling. Dammit.
Does anybody remember the tv movie, "Amateur Night at the Dixie Bar and Grill"???? This was Tanya on stage singing this song. I've searched for it, and can't find it for sale. But a young Tanya sang this and won the contest in the movie..... It was really funny, along with a serious undertone. Help me please, I know someone ELSE had to have seen this movie.
Thank you for this wonderful video!!

My girls (28 & 31) were subjected to me singing this to them. ALL the TIME ... pund intended 😂😂😂🤣 just listened to the whole song for the fist time as an adult. I thought it was “ 🎤 I wish I had button eyes and a red cup nose” hahaha duh that doesn’t make sense. 😂😂🤣

@tygr49 well I've never heard Tanya sing it, I've only heard Barbara sing it...I am a fan of both Lovely Counrty Ladies...But I do stand corrected as since my post I've seen Tanya sing it live on youtube.
My sister fav
Do you have a song by Tanya Tucker called The River and The Wind?
Also one more I can't find that starts out with , "I'm the singer, you're the song, you write the words I sing along. We gonna make it to the top, baby we won't stop, I know we'll show en all someday. So baby come and love me now, if you don't know ....." you get the idea if you know these songs. I know the words to both these songs but I'm not sure of the titles and want to track down the music. Can you help?? Nancy B.
If Johnny Cash had the voice of God; then Tanya Tucker has the voice of Mrs. God. I absolutely love her, always have and always will.
