    Very interesting! An actual glass switch and a real Fat Man detonator assembly (made by Raytheon) can be seen at the Bradbury Science Museum in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The switch was pre-existing and was initially invented for flash photography in night time aerial reconnaissance. The museum shows the beaches of D-Day being photographed at night in this way. Seeing the complex detonator assembly alone is worth a trip to Los Alamos. Its an incredible device!! I was just there 2 weeks ago.

    You could've used just actual flash tube as a trigger tube.

    A burned out subminiature rectifier tube works very well for a fast switch, has a comutstion time of less than 1.4nS and a hold off to about 14kv which waa impressive. Used one to replace an impossible to find kn-6B krytron tube with slight modification of the circuitry in a miniature EMP generator that could make a peak voltage of 185kv 😮

    Next build a EBW “Explosive Bridge wier” also use in the atomic detonation! Use whit som capacitor and high voltage! 🙌🏻🫶🏻👍🏻
