I actually thought Qiongha was going to last till the end, but seeing out her life makes me anxious about what the story is trying to convey. Everybody is dying, is dead, or will die. Life is rough at these times.
The queen unfortunately had the upper hand in this situation, she knew Haolan and Xiaochun had a close bond and were good friends. What better way to get rid of two women she despises then by using the best friend as her pawn to set the trap. A shame, as I really came to like Consort Han

After seeing this drama, I’ve come to believe everyone suffered, is suffering, or will suffer. But I didn’t realize it until seeing Qiongha die. I feel like when characters die you truly see their pain and when they die truly reveal themselves. Qiongha just wanted to be free and be with her family, but in order to survive had to become powerful. Yet she wasn’t really living and she was sad. Pre-modern times were really sad for all. 😢

To be honest, I really liked this drama a lot, but after Qiongha died, it was really hard to keep watching. It's good, but after seeing even her die, it made me anxious to keep watching things through ;m;
