I'm an experienced crocheter (37 years) and this was easy to follow. However my result didn't look like yours and it went in the trash.
Maybe if you used a cotton yarn. Not worsted weight but in between sport and worsted? I can't see this working with worsted weight. I'm going to try it that way and let you know.

I really love this little tree, my first one seems okay but the next one, I think I was putting the slip stitch in wrong stitch so not as pointy and had a side hole. Do you put slip stitch in the top of chain 3 or next stitch?, sometimes that’s where I mess up, but again thanks for sharing made the one for my daughters desk at work, she loves it.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You can make it again with the same pattern from the previous part and add 1 row below it. When adding a row, 1 DC is added before the Increase DC. Meanwhile, the last row is made with the same pattern as the previous section. Take a look, the only difference is the addition of 1 row in each section regularly.
Or you can also try my pattern in my latest video. That Christmas tree is bigger. If you want to make it bigger using a crochet pot, add the number of rows for the base
idk about “much bigger” but use a diff hook and yarn.. quite simple

How do you get yours so nice & pointy?
A little strong when pulling the thread, pulling each stitch constantly. If you use polyester thread, it can be more shaped and stiff. It's different if you use Softcotton thread. In this Christmas tree video I use Polyester thread, while in the other video I try using Softcotton thread. The type of thread and the consistency when pulling the thread with the hook are also very influential my dear...
I have 1 more question. What size yarn are you using? I have #4 in green. Is that okay to use
Any size thread can be used. The bigger the ply of thread, if you use a pattern like in the video, the bigger the Christmas tree you will get. You can also increase the number of tree layers if you want a larger tree. Meanwhile, the pot also needs to be enlarged further at the base.
