The Manifesto of the She Mask

To those that always wanted to see a woman or girl wear "The Mask"
This is a call to arms.
It's about time people that supported the idea of a female version of "The Mask" to appear in any form of media official or fanmade come together and take a stand. Say something, do something
ANYTHING!
Show your support. Divulge any thoughts you have regarding this topic.
I have nothing against the 1994 flick but I'm sick of seeing people repeat the formula like it's the only way to tell the Mask story when people should be looking into the comic books to get a better idea of the "formula" and get a proper background or balance of how "The Mask" should be handled as a story.
Most importantly it's pretty much confirmed that a female wearer of the Mask can play to a sense of sex appeal to certain people such as myself and this is an underexplored concept in film (again fan or official), writing and art. Not so much the comics and cartoons of course, at least they went there.
You could say I'm a bit frustrated and have a sense of entitlement but I know I'm not alone in this aspect.

Dude, I completely see where you're coming from. Me and a friend of mine commission artwork of copyrighted characters getting the Mask on dA. It's not much but it's a start.
I do think you should give up on the thought of a 3rd Mask movie though if you were stretching at that.
A small part of me has taken an interest in make-up for creating something to that effect but not in terms of making a film with it though. Maybe for the sake of costume design but that's about it...

Amen man. It's so sad, but true to the point of agony. We gotta stand up to make the Mask move on to the next stage, and you, my friend, may be one of the many important factors needed to make the Mask reach firm ground once more.
