  • This is off our 1992 W124 300E, during the 80's and 90's many european cars had one of these expensive parts, when they fail they start leaking fuel and can affect running conditions.
    Here's how to adjust it if you have to.

    Thanks for tearing this down for me. I love seeing how something is designed and functions. I see now that it works with induction to control the flow of gas. Mine leaks like crazy and I may have to replace if o rings don't work. I have blown one out in the past with a bit of air and somehow that worked and the leaks went away and the car ran fantastic. Anyway cheers

      Replace, not cheap, deal is those oblong seals inside get old,system pressure pushes fuel past them, its the pressure!

      @@mygermancars7264 OK thank you. I must ask, how do you check duty cycle and what exactly are you referring to on this?

    Greattt video. I wanted to ask cause I couldn't tell, I've a 1991 m103 w124, and I got some spare EHAs from a breaker. All work but leak and I can smell gas in the car which I hate. Was wondering if those gaskets are accessible from the fuel holes? I wanted to try spraying something in there to rejuvenate the seals if that is indeed possible.

      Nah, their trash if they leak at the small holes, O rings if bad can leak, but not often, EHA is under fuel pressure 60psi, nothing seals the leaks, plus car starts running bad, in the past I had a 91 300E, didn’t have enough money for a new $300 EHA, so I searched eBay, looked for cheap ones, with return policy, went thru 3 of them, 1st 2 leaked, returned, third one was good ! $25 lol

      @@mygermancars7264 haha thats actually great advice. I was successfully able to stop my power steering leaks with AT 205. I have sprayed some in the EHA holes and left it for 24 hours. Will install this EHA and see what happens. lol

    exactly my problem, i wanted to seal it up somehow untill i find one, but its steal leaking ...

      Its under like 60psi of fuel pressure, so sealing it is hard, maybe some JB weld or 2 part epoxy, try sanding the plastic a little for adhesion.

      Yes, this is what im doing right now, i made a seal around those 2 seals, since is leaking from there also, and now im using 2part epoxy. Im buying a used one from ebay since the new one is 500 euro...Lets hope that the on-the-shelf time did not dry and craked the rubber iside that one@@mygermancars7264

    How do you adjust the new part before installing ?

    • @mygermancars7264
      @mygermancars7264  3 роки тому +1

      Factory set, do not adjust! it can mess things up, after installing new one, you can check duty cycle and adjust that, its fuel adjustment , Google Hertz duty cycle .

      @@mygermancars7264 My EHA is leaking gas and I’ve changed the O/rings and still leaking gas so now I guess I must replace it with a new EHA and if it does not need adjustments that will great thank you so much for replying back to me 👍

      @@Mesopotamia64 make sure replaced one has exact number on it, they are tuned for engine size. After new one is on I would check duty cycle for optimal running condition.
