Nice sounds Juca. In my experience playing Vintage brand Strats, Tele's and Les Paul styles, they have all been very good guitars - regardless of price. I think Trevor Wilkinson has done an excellent job of designing these guitars.
Just another thumbs up for Vintage, I own three and sold a 2019 Epi LP with upgrades in favor of keeping my Vintage V100... stock. It’s fantastic. Vintage instruments are straight up quality \m/
Nice video! I got one last June, really love it and I’d agree with everything you said here. The nut by the way is a ‘Nubone’ (mine still had the tag on when I bought it) supposedly synthetic bone - seems good though. Also playing through a Katana - a great companion guitar to my strat- superb alternative for heavy stuff.
Rockin' Dave Byron It’s a great guitar But each vintage paradise has a different top Mine has a weak color and you can barely see it’s a flamed top But Juca’s is beautifully made
I have this guitar for 3 years. I love it . It sounds great holds tune and I haven't changed anything in it (but changed strings of course) The only thing I hate in this guitar is weight. It's fuckin so heavy!
The sound from 8:10 to 11:10 is from the panel only or you've created it in the tone studio? Or mybe it is one of your presets that we can buy? Could you share/sell the settings? The sound in that 3 min period is sick, pure bad ass rnr sound!
Nice video really want to get this slashes AFD was a Gibson copy as well and the sound is the closest I’ve ever seen to slashes tone but does it stay in tune good
I have one epiphone les Paul 100, and actually I'm looking for a new guitar, I have seen a Vintage v100 AFD, Do you think it's worth it?. Greetings from Colombia
Juca I have the same guitar for a good deal. I was blown away by how good this guitar is. I'm just wondering what amp would you use with this guitar especially for leading tones?
Yeah, especially the Paradise has changed looks a lot over the years. Some years they looked fine, but some years it looks terrible. You might be disappointed if you order it online, you might end up with a really ugly guitar (my personal Paradise looks fine, thank dog).
Being an "older" player .................. I have had many Les Pauls over the years and one of them that I regret getting rid of was this model by Vintage. Heavy but a really great guitar. Never sell it Juca :)
I've just received my afd and i must say that i was dissapointed actually with playability contrary to all the great reviews. 1, immediately it felt unbalanced when sitting down, weight dropping the body down, not very comfortable 2, the neck was not true, buzzing strings and choking at a full bend on 9- 14 fret 3. The control knobs fell off, easy fix i know but all of them needed attention. It was a nice finish and all hardware is good but i think it needs a serious set up. Compared to my Epi Zakk wylde, its night and day. The epi is perfectly balanced, neck perfect and no buzz or choking. The epi neck shape for me is better, fuller. I'm sure with the right set up the vintage will be ok but i think my Epi is a much better feeling/playing.guitar.
I thinkI think Yuca has mixed up pounds and kilos This guitar doesn't weigh about 6 pounds it weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces . Anyway bloody heavy but great .
So far every review of vintage is so called signature guitars. Which is stupid because they are nothing like the guitar the copied. They don't weigh the same, different woods veneer tops....totally bogus.
I have heard this model on stage beside a Gibson and the Vintage was just as good .. You bought a Gibson didn't you? ( Edit : it won first prize at NAMM 17 because it was so good )

Great demo & beautiful guitar!. Thanks for sharing this.
Many thanks :)
Nice clean tone and distortion cool man brought out the best in this guitar, and on that value just subscribed
...the sustain on this one...just listen to it....you could go and have a bite and angaaaaaaaah....you’ll still be hearing that one....

Great Demo n Great Playing🎸
Thanks!!!
Looks far beyond it's price range.... I can't wait to try one.....
Got one, exellent investment. Go for it.
has someone compared this with epi lp custom?
Wow thanks man,. I missed out on the epiphone afd and this will do
Cheers :)
how about the action, is this good in low action or buzzing...
I have one epiphone les Paul 100, and actually I'm looking for a new guitar, I have seen a Vintage v100 AFD, Do you think it's worth it?.

Yes, get it! Greetings from Portugal :) Cheers
I have the same guitar right now and just bought the AFD, can’t wait!
Juca I have the same guitar for a good deal. I was blown away by how good this guitar is. I'm just wondering what amp would you use with this guitar especially for leading tones?
Try something like a Peavey Classic 30, a Fender Hot Rod or even a fender Blues Deluxe. Even a Fender blues Junior woulr sound great with this guitar.
Hi there, I almost always use the Katana. Cheers
Great demo !!! now i'm sure i'm a Les Paul guy instead of a tele or strat guy Thanks ! and great demo !
Thanks mate :) Cheers!
That color is really different from my v100 afd

Beautiful looking guitar mate Vintage guitars are great for the money
Yes, I agree!!! It's gorgeous!!! Cheers :)

Same specs as a Harley Benton (synth nut bone, Wilkinson pickup, veneer top etc) , but considerably more expensive? Any thoughts? Thx :-)
Well, more wood probably...lol I sold it. Had a student that needed a guitar. I honestly prefer the Jazz Model. Cheers
how is the higher fret access with such a bulky joint?
A bit like a regular Les Paul.
The nut bone is connected to the neck bone.
wich is better, Epiphone Les Paul Standard or this Vintage?

My vintage is playing Soo great. I played on an Epiphone and I can say my vintage is better
sorry where did you buy the guitar les paul vintage
Here ata local store. Cheers
can you rich the higher frets easy ??
Yeah, like a regular Les Paul but a bit easier.
is the color darker in person?
No, not really
@@JucaNeryGuitar Thanks for replying. which would you choose? epiphone les paul standard 50s gold top OR vintage v100 afd slash?
@@rmcf3972 Nowadays, Epiphone :)
@@JucaNeryGuitar great! I want to learn playing guns n roses songs. So thinking which of these is better.
saw that dunlop jazz III over there heehee
Yeah :) Cheers
Nice playing man ! and excellent tone 👏🏻
Many thanks 🙏🏻
What's the neck profile on these? Slim 60s or 50s? Thanks!
Something in between. More similar to 50's. Cheers
The 2012 model its very better shape at least
Top guitar, sounds amazing, looks beautiful, unfortunately weighs a ton.......but i love it anyway
Thanks 🙏🏻
Don't trust the strap locks they slip......snap I changed them out for him Dunlop strap locks so much safer
That's definitely more than 6 pounds My PGLD is about nine n a half
I thinkI think Yuca has mixed up pounds and kilos
This guitar doesn't weigh about 6 pounds it weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces . Anyway bloody heavy but great .
6lbs ???? dont think so
For that price you could buy a Burny, or or Tokai....why buy this piece of shit?
Lost the will to live after five minutes, too much talk not enough playing.
So far every review of vintage is so called signature guitars. Which is stupid because they are nothing like the guitar the copied. They don't weigh the same, different woods veneer tops....totally bogus.
That's why they're so cheap ;)
you should try one before running them down ,I have a vintage v100 lemon drop and its excellent.
@@billy1858 yeah me too but I'm upgrading the electronics I think they are well worth it
Where does this guitar say it's a signature? All of their guitars are pretty much "inspired by" the guitars they're copying. Kinda a stupid comment.
@@srh361 I have this guitar along with my Les Pauls~ it is great ~ I went to school with Trev Wilkinson ~ Great guy !
They’re really quite good for the money but not that comparable To a proper Gibson.
True but isn’t that like comparing a guitar that costs £400 to a guitar that costs over £1,000?
@@SteveD2176 that’s what I said, it’s not comparable to a Gibson. Some of the new Epiphones are though.
