- In Marvel Studios’ “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany)-an attorney specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases-must navigate the complicated life of a single, 30-something who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. I watched season 1 of Orphan Black last week and highly recommend it. Tat is amazing in this show, and It's much funnier than I would have thought.
The role "Madisynn" is played by an actress named "Patty Guggenheim", she is actually a long time veteran in sitcom shows.
She has done small roles in sitcoms like Modern family, 2 Broke girls and many more.
She has absolutely killed it and the net is going crazy for her.
She's either great at acting drunk, or she's great at acting while drunk

I'm picturing the MCU version of Mr. Ed, but instead of a horse, it's a demonic talking goat. And there's a Three's Company twist. They stay in a no pets allowed apartment complex, so they have to convince the landlord that the talking goat is her human boyfriend. "Boy, that Doug takes a lot of showers. I swear he's in the shower every time I come over." Hilarity will ensue

Word. This is an underrated observation. The fact that she can go through these dimensions and be not only unphased but also actually be ok (mostly. who knows wtf "Jake" has in store for her lol) is actually quite a feat. Hope she gets some proper sorcerer training.

Is it just me or is Wong seem like the new Coulson now?? I love his delivery and his timing is spot on!!!! Love that this episode was just kinda standard TV show really, hopefully it's just a reprieve than the remaining episodes are going to reveal the greater story behind the show. Really pulling for a thunderbolts lead by Zeemo......I need more of him after his amazing job in Captain America and the Winter Soldier

Coulson then Tony stark were the connective tissue for the MCU, so if Wong is in that role, that kinda guarantees him a heroic death in the near future. But I mean Dr Strange has to become Sorcerer Supreme, so that was probably always happening. But I hope Wongers and Madisynn get their own series first
About your hope for the remaining episodes - I actually think the opposite. I hope this show stays just like this- stupid funny new cases every week and stuff. Don't really care about seeing a greater story in this show.

I really love the “case of the week” feel of the show. It really allows the writers to just go nuts. I mean I never really thought about how the revelation of real sorcery would pretty much ruin the “magic” industry. And I’ll take any excuse to see more of Wong, he really is (as Jen perfectly said) twitter armor.
And as a man in his early 30’s I completely agree with Jen that dating in your 30’s SUCKS!!!!!! And while she may not have gotten a boyfriend at least she had sex with an infuriatingly good looking doctor. Though I’m genuinely surprised he was able to walk the next morning. He should’ve had at least a crushed pelvis, like the Amazon planet episode of Futurama, full Death By Snu Snu! Look it up.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also for people complaining that this show is nothing but filler, THAT’S THE POINT!!!! It’s Ally McBeal in the MCU, a lawyer sitcom, it has never claimed to be anything else. You don’t hear people complaining when they watch Seinfeld or Friends that the “overall plot” isn’t going anywhere.

The scene at the end with Jen landing on top of that hot guy on the sofa was sooooo perfect and gives just the right amount of female power and humor that is needed. The writing is just so fucking perfect. I can’t get over how great the writing is….

@@emanymton713 the issue here is 90% of the time the man is expected to ask out the woman so it still ends up being the guy paying. Imo it should always be 50/50 or just pay for yourself. You both want to be there right? Not just for a free meal.
@@cresentj but one party is always going to be the guest of the other party… if you agree to split things outright fine, no problem with that. But to just assume the Guy must *always* pay is also the wrong way to look at it too. That’s why I stated the one that set up the date should be the one paying. Ideally you’d be alternating asking each other out so no single individual is paying every time… but most guys aren’t going to have an issue picking up the tab anyway.
@@emanymton713 most guys wont have an issue because its a tradition. doesn't make it right. it made sense in the past due to economic disparity between genders. although there still a slight gender pay gap today it isn't enough to justify the outdated tradition. And dating isn't a party and guest situation. its two individuals who want to engage in a potential relationship or something casual. both individuals should be equally contributing to the interactions.
Its fine in theory to say that they should alternate but 1) that's assuming there's a second or more dates and if not, then the first payer is normally the guy 2) we all know alternate is the exception, not the standard. Ultimately what happens is the guy usually has to pay for the first few dates unless the woman is a feminist and even then its a coin flip if she wants to pay for herself/split the bill.

I laughed until I cried watching this episode and then laughed until I cried again watching these three laughing until they cried 😂😂. Such a fun show! Also, if anyone is interested and hasn't yet seen it I highly recommend watching the show Orphan Black. I think it was Tatiana's first major role (?) and she is AMAZING in it. When I first watched it I was convinced that she'll be an Oscar winner one day. I honestly think it is one of the greatest performances by any actor ever.
I think, dare I say, Mephisto has final showed himself in this episode. The old man with Donny Blaze always encouraged him to open a portal. The portals only opened to a demon world. It might be a stretch but I think he’s finally come.

I was with you until that scene in the courtroom(and the demon attack), but he could be acting a fool. I originally though thought he was encouraging Donny because he needed people to go to the realm or something like that. I do think there is more to it than just a one note joke. It might not pay out in this series, but I think that there is more.
I think when Marvel finally gives us Mephisto it will be with the introduction of Ghost Rider and they will have him introduced in the most blatant and amazing way that couldnt be possibly confused

It's amazing that in a world that had Tony Stark, Madisynn is the drunkest person in the MCU.
From my experience in trademark law - where my band was in a four-year conflict with a band led by former Dream Theater keyboardist Derek Sherinian - the person that uses the name in "interstate commerce" first, has the primary claim even if the other person filed for the trademark first. So once Jen was employed and paid by GKL&H a "She-Hulk" would be her origin date. Titanian would have had to have used the name before that.
It's possible she did. She has super strength and uses that in her influencer brand; maybe she uses She-Hulk has a branding name to refer to that.

After giving this show 4 episodes, I really enjoy the tone and nature of this show. The comedy for once actually seems organicly written and I enjoy that the most. All the chatacters are solid and distinct.

I really liked Madisynn! She even found the "fun" in traversing through another realm with dangerous demons and goblins! Even though she was buzzed, idk - demons, goblins and a talking goat would sober up anyone ASAP.
I think her fun-loving, looser attitude, and hype-girl personality makes for such a great friendship with Wong's strict, formal Sorceror Supreme character. There's also just something so charming and underrated with unlikely personalities being friends (Think Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg's friendship, or Eminem and Elton John's friendship). That's what makes Wongers and Madisynn's dynamic a highlight for me with this episode lol.

I think the wedding would be for Wong and Sara Wolfe? She was the master of the mystic arts who died stabbing the Darkhold in Multiverse of Madness. I saw a connection between the two of them that was never explicitly stated, and it would be so tragic if Wong was binge watching TV to distract himself from the trauma.

Derek is played by David Otunga, a former WWE wrestler Harvard Lawyer, and he was with Jennifer Hudson from (2007-2017) they have one son David Daniel Otunga Jr. I'm enjoying this series. Madisynn and Wong have chemistry. Madisynn King is played by Patty Guggenheim, Actress, Writer, and Comedian. Dammit, Donny Blaze.

I think you might be watching the wrong people. There are plenty of reactors that enjoy the show I.e fictionaldarling, blindwave, storm akima etc and reactors that are going out their way to watch something they hate just to crap on it are called grifters and are better avoided.

Her VFX in the dating/fight scenes were noticeably better! Think the budget/time for her VFX automatically went to certain scenes they thought it was needed the most which is why they probably should have limited her appearances in She-Hulk form by having her only as Jen when she's 'lawyering' and then saving her as She-Hulk for the dating/action scenes! Donny Blaze actor Rhys Coiro is the director Kat Coiro's husband! Madisynn is basically the Zoey Deutch character from Zombieland 2 :)
