For TL;DR Good tendencies are a must but are somethings just "the way" or is it open to interpretation by the person in control of the DAW? My opinion is that I hate getting sloppy projects to mix / master and it seems most people loose control and hand it off to someone else to clean up once they do.
Man, I was happy when I saw you had made a video because I have been putting together snippets of tutorials for my friends and people I have taught over the years for better project management. And me too, because it's always good not to be complacent and have an open mind to learning new ways. Definitely appreciate it and will share.
As I put this on I wondered one thing that I always have. I wonder how he color codes his tracks? When you coded the drum loops red I about died laughing as I always do, especially Robota loops in Magix Sequoia. Turns out most of the ways are identical. My first tracks are always drums though. It makes sense in a lot of ways for me to have another place to cut / align my sections off of.
It begs the question, and you kind of touch on it and I hadn't thought of it, is it a psychological trait that makes us do this? Like you said, association of red and low is kind of intuitive.
Do you not bounce down / freeze tracks on large projects like this? For me the benefits are too great especially when it comes to taking drum plugins / other MIDI tracks and converting to audio. In addition, this cuts down on the number of tracks needed (some limitations such as automation exist), frees up realtime effects processing - though using another computer for this is the way and I won't go back - and leaves a cleaner project, IMO This is probably an indication of how I group my tracks.
A lot of people will not do this when I suggest it to handle computer performance issues because tit's destructive, however anything that is bounced should be of a standard wher it doesn't matter and it is easy to save the data within the project but not in the actual track in all DAW's.
    Let me know your thoughts.

H.James Staley Yes 100% to freezing tracks. I will do “bounce in place“ in logic. This will create a new audio version of the track and mute the previous MIDI track. And yeah I think there is red and bass. I think we all think that way for some reason.
