Daniel Roy pays tribute to card cheats and con-men of times past in his debut performance at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, LA. In this performance, Daniel Roy is just 22 years old. But he has been obsessed with sleight of hand with cards since the age of 10. His specialty is the most difficult branch of card manipulation, the techniques used by professional card cheats. Already a seasoned performer, Daniel has appeared at the Smoke and Mirrors Magic Theater in Philadelphia, the Chicago Magic Lounge, and the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, Los Angeles. In 2019, he received the Milbourne Christopher award for Close-Up Magician of the Year. At the time of this performance, he was a full-time student at the University of Pennsylvania studying neurobiology.

Man I could only dream of centre dealing, but this guy is one of the best false dealers I’ve ever seen. He’s the real deal (no pun). The genuine article. I practiced and practiced and practice when I was his age but he’s in a different league, like Federer is to tennis. Erdnase, Vernon, Rayleigh all the legends, all the sleights. So cool.
It's worth watching just for that special look Jessie gave...Wow!!

3 card monte was one of the very first card routines I learned as a magician, and this video brought back some wonderful, money earning, memories. Amazing performance Mr. Daniel, you are one of the best slight of hand magicians out there!

Holy Moly. I couldn't read a prepared script in twice the time, much less deal cards.
I played fiddle & violin in bands and orchestras for five decades. I imagine I spent as much time practicing the fiddle as he has spent learning to control the cards and make it seem utterly effortless. Beautiful work, and his "talk" adds tremendously to the fun. Thank you.

And when you tore that corner and swapped it Oo that was a great touch and how you made sure people saw you move it then you asked left/right hand and put the other corner in your pocket Oo that was just great
