We had our Belmar upgraded to the National alternator. Thank God. When Embassy does the upgrade, you can ask Terry but if I remember correctly. Embassy also upgrade the ground for the alternator and moves it's connection point. Like I said, If I remember correctly this was a critical discovery that Embassy discovered for improving the 2nd alternatives ability to charge better.
Great video, the Balmer also has about the highest failure rate of any component used by the RV industry across multiple RV manufacturers. I’ve never been one to hold my truth back 😂
Another beneficial, informative video from you, Robert Hume. Thank you! Did Embassy RV install the upgrade/replacement alternator? Do you know when Embassy began using the Nations brand instead of the Balmar brand? I guess I'd better find out which alternator I have.
Yes, Embassy did the upgrade while we were up there for the annual meetup. I didnt' realize I had the Balmar, but it started making that horrible noise, and they knew what that meant! Regrettably, I'm not sure when they switched to Nations.
I had a hunch the Nations would be better. Looks like I hunched correctly. I wonder what the cost differential is between them and if the Nations is more expensive, how many highway miles, city miles and parked charging hours it would take to make up the difference.
Not sure of cost differential as the Nations is now the standard alternator. They had to do rewiring on the van as well, so we did get an uncharge. Thanks for commenting!

I know they had to do a lot of rewiring for the new alternator, but honestly, I don't know exactly what they did. Thanks for the comment!
Excellent analysis..... well done video. Glad you got the first Balmar replaced with the Nations alternator, clearly a superior product.
Glad you enjoyed it

@@RoadsofLife I contacted Embassy with my build#, and Nolan confirmed I have the Nations alternator. PHEW! So grateful.
