Nah. It's called I'm tired of all the dumbass shit that's constantly shoved into everything...music, movies, etc. Anything that pushes the mainstream agenda is unnecessary and ruins what would be original content, all for the sake of "appealing" to a certain group of folks.
You're okay with this show throwing away everything that made it good for the sake of being "mainstream?"
Aaaaaaand it sucked
The 'When the Levy Breaks' inspired music at the end is just the icing on the cake!
The writing and acting for Raylan was pretty much the epitome of how guys wish they could handle
espond in situations--I know I sure as hell do!
"Jesus I hope I got that right."
I mean, the dude just said to another officer that if he doesn't move he's going to shoot you. That was a pretty dead giveaway. No pun intended. Not to mention that he drew almost immediately.
It’s really a moot point. Even if he was a real cop, he has a right to defend himself. Of course there would a lot more paperwork and time if he was. 🤠
@@nmelkhunter1
Ahh so if I feel threatened by a real cop I can shoot him? Good to know!
Which is why I always told my mom to wear her vest..... Too many crazies out there and she wasn't a quick draw with her revolver.....
Raylan's shot so many people in the line of duty, it would be more surprising if he hadn't second guessed a few of them prior to this encounter
My New Years resolution was to stop watching shows with gratuitous gun fire and killin' - but this Justified.
NEVER dance with a former USMC vet and dead shot from Glenco who is the fastest quick draw in modern history. I loved the episode when Raylan was talking to 'Hotrod' and he says "look I'll clear my holster and drop 4 of you and I'll take my chance with the rest".......what a show. TO is a brilliant actor. I wish he'd do a third "Hitman". Like Seth Bullock TO carries himself a certain way dripping confidence and exhaling pure rage.....but he hated shaving his head.
I don't think Raylan served in the military...Boyd and Tim did, but I don't remember them mentioning Raylan having a military past.
He didn’t, he joined the Marshall service after working in the coal mines with Boyd.
Yesss badd ass 👍
@@krolik1157 He was introduced as a former Marine in the novel. Shame the showrunners didn't make him one in the series, seeing as Tim was ex army. Just imagine the shit they would give each other. Tim: "Rangers lead the way" , Raylan: "I reckon I was there most of the time when we, the marines, secured the area so you guys can lead the way"
There was a show when he couldn't go in the bar where Arlo was at because he wasn't a veteran. He had to call Tim to come so they could go in.
Man I love this show so much, for so many reasons.
That was one of the best quickdraw scenes I've seen.
The “officer” overplayed his hand to the wrong person. 🤣
indeed
his attitude started off bad and got worse
"Maybe I"m just havin' a hell of a day. Did you just give me an order?"
That show was sooooo good. So many things happened in that 97 seconds that you may need to watch it a few times.
Arts reaction after this scene is hilarious “Raylan, just for a second I thought you were a cop killer!”
This was such a great scene. What a great series.
I love the" Jesus I hope I got that right " very relevant
"Jesus, I hope I got that right" Classic line!
I can’t wait for this show to come back for one more season
Is it just one season? I understood that it's a "limited" series.
My wife and I watched this show. I still remember how she jumped and screamed because she was surprised by the sudden gun battle.
You're wife did expect a gun battle? Had she never seen the show, or had she never seen a TV show. Hope she is great at cooking, she isn't the brightest bulb
@@rpierce3336 i wish i could dislike your comnent, but I can't so 👎
@@jamellwinners7192 You can ;) and you can also report comments ;)
Props to the editor, fight choreographer and stunt coordinator. At 1:11, (freeze framed), you can see they both draw at the same time, so the editor cuts to the two-shot of the fake cop starting his draw, then cuts back to Raylan solo shot already firing. The end result looks like Raylan drew faster than the faux cop, even though the wide side shot had them dead even. That's some good editing! On a side note, I like this scene a lot, and it's not hard to believe for a second that as soon as that faux cop makes his threat to shoot Raylan, Raylan, (the character), is already mindlessly reacting and pulling out his gun. This is the WRONG GUY to mess with!
One of the best shows that was on TV
Wow I just heard about the new limited series Justified sequel!! I can't wait. Hope they make it a full time show as the Original was one of the Best Shows ever!!!
Telemarketer called my cell today. I answered "Givens". Some guy started going into his telemarketer pitch And I authoritatively stated. "This is US Marshal Raylan Givens. How did you get this phone number?". Brief silence and then he hung up.
awesommmmme i will steal that.....
I always answer southeastern district F.B.I. agent Noah speaking
I've said it before. One of the best scenes of the series.
Thank you for reminding me how awesome this show was!
Love that raylan figures out the hitman is a fake pretty much immediately, yet still asks the fake cop to wait a sec so he can ask ava about the ring. Probably used that time to consider the situation. The fake cop threatening to shoot raylan pretty much sealed the deal though. Im not law enforcement or anything but I can’t imagine actual law enforcement threatening to shoot each other just because one is in the way of another
"Jesus, I hope I got that right"... One of best lines in whole series
I remember this episode like it was yesterday. Really bad ass scene. The Marshal vs the Rogue (fake) cop...
This Raylan fellow seems to gets shot at more times than a WW2 soldier.
He sure has a big body count that's for sure. Maybe equivalent to the entirety of people killed by the us marshall Kentucky office in the past 10 years prior to raylan arrival.
Got to. American entertainment. Guns, posturing and more guns. They eat it up, nonstop
@@slimturnpike It's entertaining to be sure, but the thing with these shows is that only the right people get shot; ricochets, stray bullets or the police opening fire indiscriminately don't happen, along with lawsuits from aggrieved relatives.
@@TankUni exactly plays into the fantasy
When you are THAT good ! You got nothing to fear but the good lord 🙏 himself
Well, that and Boon. Boon was FAST.
It's this show and Deadwood make me notice Olyphant has a specific "walk", and I don't know how many people thought the same, but (no spoiler) we I started watching The Mandalorin I always thought the guy walk like him!
So happy they are bringing the gang back together for another Series
There was always the off-chance that Shelby forgot he already sent someone down. Or that the cop(?) was just power-tripping, up to and *including* drawing his weapon.
That was a top scene.
The whole show is briliant.
My man Raylan with NO hesitation! 😂😂😂
Well if he didn't have an invitation to the wedding before this he certainly would have had one after it.
"Jesus, I hope I got that right"... Tell me about it, felt that way all the time.
“Jeez I hope I got that right…”
That’s a genius line. 🤣
You draw, I put you down
I just saw him in an episode of the Mandalorian. Space Marshal Raylan Givens. He looked like he was wearing his big brother's Mandalorian armor. LOL
Oh, he appeared again in Book of Boba Fett. Had a full Raylan worthy moment too.
" Geez, I hope I got that right." greatest line ever
Raylan's not nearly as quick as he appears. He does this a lot throughout the series-he'll cleverly stall the encounter with bullshit conversation, allowing him a few extra moments to process whats going on, why its going on, and how best to handle it.
He doesn't really give a shit about the ring, he just needs a quick minute to run through all the reasons theres a suspicious man in a cop uniform trying to leave with Boyd.
Yep.
True, but he is still inanely fast
…’stall the encounter with bullshit conversation’… like in the old ‘Perry Mason’ series, where Perry Mason, when asked an inconvenient question by Lt Tragg (Homicide Lt), would pull out a cigarette and ask for a light, thus stalling for ‘quick minute’ to figure out a ‘legal defensible answer’ to a question he did NOT want to answer at that point in his investigations….
@@ernestgalvan9037 yeah, kinda. But with a bit more southern charm
I'd say he was fast as he needed to be, honestly.
Plot Twist: he was a real cop; he just had an attitude.
"Had:" Past tense of "to have."
...then time to feed him to tha hogs.
@@lcastillotx Haha! Mr. Wu's pigs....

I think he knew something was not right as soon as the "cop" started talking. That is how good he is! The reaction of Boyd is priceless!
