The "Dark Utensil" had me on the floor! :) rofl
Honestly, it should've been The Dark Knife.
The Batula.
But those bandsaw skills though! That ending is freakin hilarious, awesome channel! :)
MrKnifeFanatic Thank you. I've been practicing a lot at the band saw!
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na Spatula!
All these videos of projects for his home just make me want to visit him. Just Peter flipping pancakes with The Dark Utensil,a kid swinging in the rec room indoor swing. His wife humming the 12 days of Christmas (woodworking edition) while decorating his band saw with the death star ornament.
You can never have too many spatulas! This one is by far the coolest ever!!!!! See you same bat channel, same bat time!
Too cool! Peter your awesome at what you do and keep going! I love watching your videos, they always are amazing. The time and practice it takes to do these projects it truly stunning. Thanks for great videos :)
Dude nice, your work is always quality craftsmanship. You deserve more sub's.
Frost a batman cake with it
It might be one of the most uncomfortable spatulas..? It's a spatula for real men, they're supposed to be uncomfortable!! :-)
Great Video!!
Anyone else notice the Dremel tool in the background at 3:41 while he was manually sanding the inner contours. Peter, use your tools!
I will never understand down votes on this channel. Ridiculous. Every damn thing is awesome and entertaining.
THE DARK UTENSIL RISES makes me laugh every time
That walnut grain was spectacular Peter!
I thought I was the only one who wondered if Alfred had a life outside the cave!!
Mark Christopher Thanks Mark. Nice wood goes a long way to making us look good...
Used linseed oil on walnut for the first time in this build project and it popped just like yours....awesome build Peter.
***** Pops right out! Shellac is my other favorite for walnut, if you don't want it to darken as much.
Don't you remember from Batman Forever?
"....I'll get drive-thru"
shh, remember, we're not suppose to talk about Batman Forever! :)
it's good to be reminded I'm not the only woodworker/geek out there. thanks for sharing!
That was freakin awesome!! Your videos rock Peter, and that sbatula design is awesome. Nice walnut.
Zac Higgins Thanks Zac! Just a bit of fun. And I've already made a sandwich with it... :)
Not gonna lie, I watch one of your video's, Now i'm hooked. haha love the video my friend, keep up the good work.
Much better than a "traditional" spatula, and that walnut pops! Nice job Peter!
Yup, I knew it. After watching several kitchen challenges I knew you would come up with some oddball think if you entered. You held on to your reputation.
Cheers, Lee
This just made my whole day. :D Awesome.
well, this is my last one for the night :) Thanks for another good evening Peter, good good stuff!
Gotham would be proud ! Great project Peter!! I can see a need for not only a Batman Spatula in our house as well a Mario one too. Thanks for sharing!!
Nicholas Gomez Thank you! I think some Nintendo cutlery is a great idea! :)
I'm not a batman fan, but I admit the wood grain comes out nice.
That style of spatula works amazing for spackling!
Nick D. Clements Fixing holes in drywall after the Joker stops by... :)
An additional benefit to your videos... Scrabble words!
Another geeky thing I love! Batman! And his ever trusty tool, the Batula! Great work Peter!
Eric DeFratis Thanks! Fit's well on the utility belt, next to the seasoning pellets... :)
I think I need to make some grill tools with Subaru symbol handles. Thanks for the idea!
Holy Bat Spat, Batman !!! lol
Nice one... a thumbs up for sure!
now there is an idea i want to try too. thanks!
Willem Kossen Sweet! If you do end up trying it, be sure to let me know!
Extremely jealous of those bandsaw skills
wow, you've got some skills on the bandsaw, Looks cool
knives&stuff Thank you! My band saw skills have improved with the 3/16 blade too!
"The Dark Spatula", haha. I love the coughing at the end there, I wonder if Christian Bale had stock in cough drops.
Your videos are to cool! You have awesome ideas and gizmos that are super cool, and everything you make is awesome. You should incorporate, or make something out of a bike chain, I'd love to see something like that! :)
That is so cool Peter! Gonna have to break out my Prince Batman soundtrack tonight. Haven't heard that in a while.
Steve Carmichael Thanks Steve! I'd forgotten Prince did that album! Oh the 80's!
If you can always use another spatula, *Spatula City™* is the place _for you!_
"everybody complains about the smell of epoxy... I kinda like it" - where it all began
Great work, and what a beautiful piece of walnut for the project. You've got me thinking now of some Marvel utensil builds. I hope Dark Peter had some throat lozenges after that :)
Neville Styles Thanks! If you make any Marvel ones shoot me a pic! My throat still hurts... :)
hey idea: you could use and electric nail file for sanding small areas
huge Batman fan - thought this was great
I love this
Can you please make a plastic ring
I want one of these. Very nice
Tyson Piche Thank you! It was pretty simple to make. (besides the sanding part of course...)
The Batula
i think I will try to make this for my dad but I have a question... is it comfortable to hold I doesn't look like it...real cool video glad I found your channel. you just got another sub keep it up
I love the smell of things like epoxy, makes me think of my grandads old workshop (and his current one) . Such a horribly lovely smell.
This is so cool, oh wow!
Whenever I watch a video from you I always end up being jealous because you can craft so great things and I can barely even hold a saw. :D
Rike Malfoy Thank you! I've also make quite a few treasures only fit for the fire pit!
Killer build Peter! The grain on that walnut is beautiful. Cool how you started with a dollar store item. Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one that goes around with a black hoodie talking like batman.
Peter Brown So does my 3 yr. old grandson... When he's not Bruce Wayne or Spiderman. He embraces both universes -- D.C. and Marvel... :)
Good one Peter! We guys love tools and you've just given yourself justification to buy a new scroll saw man! Woo Hoo.... ;-)
Charlie Zellner I've got one, but I don't have much experience with it. I think I need to spend a little quality time with her... :)
The way the batman movies are going I wouldn't be surprised to see this in Bruce Wayne's kitchen while he has guest over. With a "Property of Batman" sign on one side with a "return to Wayne Manor" on the other side.
therealdeadpen I just hope they don't screw it up! I had an ending clip in there about Ben Affleck's new role, but I liked the coughing better!
Lovely job Peter
cool handle to put on a knife )
Robbiethewoodturner Thanks Robbie! It would have been a cool knife!
fill in the negative space with epoxy to make it more comfy to hold
great ending!
Nice looking spatula! It could go really nice in Batman's utility belt! Cheers! Daniel
Daniel Vilarino Ha! Hope he does accidentally grab it instead of his batarang... :)
Peter Brown Ha! Ha! Ha! Can you imagine? He grabs the sbatula from his belt and says! "You have asked for it Penguin! Now, I will flip you over! Take that!"
your batman sounds more like the tourettes guy's voice haha! love all your vids keep up the awesome work!
Hi, Peter...Wovvv..What a advanced and original Proyect.
Greetings from Argentina.! Steve.
U are the bob Ross of wood working some times
Batman Spatula = Batula.
One "dislike" from Joker
& definetly one "like" from me =)
Wouldn't this be a "bat"ula? Haha. I am new to the channel, but very entertained- keep it up!
Thomas Dauphin I missed the mark. That's a much better name. Thanks! :)
This is how Alfred puts cream cheese on Batmans bagels! Or lets face it, Batman could pick a lock with it, or deflect a bullet..... He's Batman!
dave bryant Seriously! "Robin, hand me the bagel spreader... We need access to the vault" :)
The dark knife is next
Love your videos, this was hilarious and really cool haha have you got a website where people could buy the things you make? That would be awesome
Lauren Luck Thank you Lauren! Sorry, but I don't sell anything I make. I just make videos... :)
It looks amazing! If you would make it a little sharper, I'd call it 'The Dark Knife'... ;P
I enjoy watching your weekly shows! I have a challenge/idea for you - You like smelting plastic and work with it in your shop - how about making a toy boat which the kids could take along into the tub or pool? Here you could combine plastik and would in a cool way!
Christian Peter MacLassen That might be cool! Always looking for another HDPE project!
You guys doing one this year?
Fear the wrath of the Batula!
As far as comfort goes I wonder if you could fill it in with rubber or something where the symbol still looks cool and it's easier to hold.
Should do another Batman project
I'm very disappointed that you didn't put the spatula infant of a light for a bat symbol.
Another great video.
Make Crazydays Oh man... You are so RIGHT! That would have been cool!
May I ask... What is the mark on the foam pads on the wall? There's a splatter mark on em which has been confuzzling me.
That's BATULA!
