Yeah me too couple of years back. He burst on the scene and said he was going to world number 1 within years and he's no closer. Looks like he's on speed the entire time, really impatient to get up there throw his darts, collect them, run back and queue up again. I don't see him winning any major competitions ever.
I thought GVV was going to be similar, too, but the guy just doesn't have it all together. Too much twirling with the darts I think or something.
Rock just continues to be underperforming and underperforming.
Next thing you know, some player named Littler who practices little, made his way to the finals of his first ever attempt at the world championship. Something neither Rock or GVV did and they usually get canned within the last 64 or 32.
Wade will be disappointed. Noticed Veenstra getting better for a while now not unlike Cameron Menzies and the locals have Schindler and Clemens through.
This format really puts pressure on the seeded players coming in cold against rivals who have already won a match.

Good to see darts becoming more of an international game. Initially mostly a UK nations game, but since the Dutch became a true competitor the Germans have also become more prominent along with the Belgians and to a lesser degree the Australians to also provide some real competition now. It makes the sport more interesting. It needs to some quality Asian and North American players to really grow the sport and increase the prize money.
why does the referee Huw Ware pronounce Menzies like Men-zezz? it actually drives me insane every time

There's another ranking order for Pro Tour events. It doesn't include bigger tournaments and used only for seeding in Pro Tour.

You maybe saw the 1 next to his name. That means he is number 1 seed. He is currently 2nd in the pro tour order of merit. You don't get there without winning and reaching finals.
