Theology of the Body is the best thing I have known since last year. If pre-marriage course includes Theology of the Body, it will be very very helpful.
I throughly enjoyed this introduction. Feeling excited and delighted to have come across this body of work. These conversations are very close to my heart and while I have been a follower of Christ for awhile, I am slowly being guided back to sound Catholic teachings. Glory to God. May you be blessed beyond measure!
I like your channel. Could you make a video about Gods perspective of the state of being in love. Why make us to be so crazy, even if it is only temporary ; )
We can only contemplate the Divine while in our body. Our bodies are one with the eternal, and when we die, it’s like dropping an old worn out coat that hides our fullest potential.
Thank you for your comment @rosalinddances2890 ! We'd suggest checking out this video for a more nuanced understanding of the Theology of the Body ua-cam.com/video/e0rcM_f50a0/v-deo.html . The old worn out coat is not in harmony with John Paul II's vision for the goodness of the body!
4:20 you got dangerously close to a heresy there; please remember the the Son is an uncreated being: He was not created by the Father, they just both exist. (Btw, that’s what the Jehovah’s Witnesses believe: that Jesus was a created by God and is a separate being from God.)
He's pretty far from heresy. The first part of the Nicene Creed is basically saying the same thing as him: Jesus Christ is born of the Father before all ages.
You clearly not Catholic and don't have much knowledge on the nature of God and the Three Divine Persons in Unity. The Father generates the Son, does not at all mean He creates the Son. Its an eternal generation. Go look up Catholic explanations/articles on the generation of the Son.
What is the church's stance on clitoral stimulation during the sexual act. An organ given to females that's sole purpose is for pleasure. I have seen very little discussion on this. I am a Catholic and agree with all other tenants here for the most part but we fail in talking specifics and I think miss the mark on this topic. Can you please elaborate on this as I have seen much miscommunication surrounding the female anatomy. Almost a fear to discuss it. Everything centered on the male anatomy and the male act. What about the female anatomy during the "marital act". There is no direct loss of procreative substance as a result of female orgasm. Why would this be given to woman then? Just a question I have seen sadly limited answers to. If a woman was not able to reach the unitive completion wouldn't a husband be obliged to give himself an aid in this area if not achieved during the marital act. Would he not be giving of himself in some sense if he did not help his wife achieve what he did.
Bringing your wife pleasure is a part of the husband's duty in the martial act in order to bring each other close for marriage. However, this should be happening in the context of the martial act happening and not purely masterbatory in nature. At some point, this should lead to the martial act which opens up the possibility to new life.
Hello @lukeabuga5820 ! Thank you for your question. Here are some videos that might provide an answer: ua-cam.com/video/AaCC96lqnr4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/hdxNlfgOOUo/v-deo.html
Pope John Paul II’s inordinately exalted view of human sexuality as articulated in his Theology of the Body coupled with his highly metaphysical view of the ordained priesthood became his blind spot when the global scandal of the clergy homosexual predation sexual abuse erupted late into his papacy. JPII failed to see the reality and did not decisively deal with the crisis. Here he failed Christ and His Church, especially the victims of clergy homosexual sex abuse. He should never have been hastily made a canonized saint.

The first time I received the Eucharist was one month ago, I couldn’t stop crying. It was so profound and beautiful
Glory to God!
I am sharing this video with EVERYONE I know as a teaser to get them interested in understating the marriage of the divine with their sacred humanity.
Thank you for sharing!

What is the body ..? It makes us visible .
It's very sad that the supposed "health" channels and articles promote masturbation as a "healthy self-love" act.

@@mark5222 now that I think about it, Jesus is the Father’s only *begotten* Son… 😅 my bad

If Marriage is a sign that points to the heavenly banquet why don't priests marry?
