I often catch myself judging the quality of a series by how compelling the supporting actors and roles are. In that sense, Angels of Death nailed it I think. Ship Mistress Solken & Chaplain Rafael really carved out their own place in the story.
She is one of today's voice acting goddesses. Her and Laura Bailey - my favourites, I think. Magnificent choices for soundtrack overlay, btw. I've watched and re-watched the series multiple times, so this rearrangement is very welcome and refreshing. Thank you.
I really like the Warhammer universe! So much potential to tell a wide variety of stories. Too bad this series is so hard to get outside of Warhammer TV.
Yeah... Considering Cyberpunk Edgerunners & League of Legends Arcane became massively popular very quickly, it makes you wonder what would happen if more people were able to watch Angels of Death. Or anything else Warhammer related. I can only hope Henry Cavill can bring more attention to it with his upcoming series. Thanks for watching!
In preparation for Baldur's Gate 3 I recently played Divinity Original Sin 2 again and I noticed she did some voice acting there too. (As a Paladin prison guard in Arx but there could be more.) Afterwards I looked it up on IMDB and noticed she also does voice acting in Baldur's Gate 3. Starring as Minthara, I think she portrays a ruthless (dark side / evil) Paladin companion. Really looking forward to hearing her again in what some people are calling an anomaly or the 'RPG of the century'. Thanks for this clip by the way. Angels of Death really looks like something worth watching. Too bad the audio book gave you a channel strike. Emma seems to have a compelling presence in everything she does.
I think she’s the voice of Janet Sulla (I’ve not seen her name written down so the spelling may be off) in the Ciaphus Cain novels when Amberly uses an extract to give a broader picture of the narrative
She also voices Ephrael Stern in 'Heretic Saint', Saint Celestine in 'Our Martyred Lady', and narrates and voices the same Saint in the titular 'Celestine - The Living Saint'. They were my introductions to her body of work over the years.
You can find the 11 episode series on WarhammerTV, which requires a subscription. In my experience it's very difficult to get elsewhere but maybe you will have more luck. It's unfortunate that this series isn't more well known and more easily accessible to a wider audience.
@@joserjs8213I understand your pain brother. However, there is a way we can watch Angels of death full, although it will not be the most enjoyable experience. Check counterpoint 30k where he post full reaction to every episodes, there you can watch the Angels of Death
Well you know the space station is compromised so just broadside it as well to break free. This concern over the docking arm seems weird given the fire power of a battle barge would make short work of what the docking arm is attached to.
The docking arm is outside of the arc of the fire for the guns, and to broadside the station at point-blank range would destroy their own ship. So they have to fight through the docking ramp to clear it.
If they’d done that, they’d have blown the ship in half as the docking arm would’ve torn off a chunk of the hull as the station exploded, taking the remainder of the ship with it
The cartoon turned out to be interesting, but the xenos weapons are shown poorly. This weapon simply does not cause any damage to the armor of a space marine, however, it should create potholes in the armor and destroy it after a few dozen shots.
Never in my life did I think I would be baking cupcakes and watching warhammer content....but here we are.....apple pie cupcakes with dolce de Leche drizzle
Loved that machine master and his axe going to town on the unclean especially when he was on the phone with the Mistress
And he sounds like he’s gone for a light jog lol.
Solken is one hell of a ship's Captain. Nerves of steel and unafraid to make the tough calls.
She is a badass! and best of all, she stays true to the universe, no real world bullshit added in.
Lotara Sarrin: Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be LEGENDARY!!
Something I really like about these animations is how smooth the Astartes move. They still have a sense of mass. But they’re not cumbersome.
my genocidal wife now starring as Minthara in bg3
word

"But not by me!!" begins the axing.

You mean the Tech Marine?
@@redsabre69 The techmarine was Hadrael. Rafael was the chaplain who doesn't appear in this video.

Of course there is mutiny on the Bounty.

You know what. The Henry cavil- GW situation feels like a warhammer story as it’s self haha! Henry cavil the god emperor and Gw the quasi chaos.
Forgot Jennifer Hale, Mate.
Omg that Bolter sounded beautiful

I just slept with Minthara
I am pretty sure that she also voiced Madora in first Original Sin. The voices are very similar.

@@CM26617 I’ve actually listened to two of those, she’s one of my favourite voice actresses 😁
No such thing as innocence, only varying degrees of guilt. May Imperial Justice account in all balance.
7:03 more epic than all superhero movies combined.
God we need 40k movies.
Holy terra that was gorgeous
YEs this must come full speed ahead!!
I cannot believe this. Is it really fanmade animation??
Ship master Livia sounds so much like Minthara from balders gate. Is this the same voice actress?
Yes - Emma Gregory
@@darkmatter2211 , thank you 🙏
"Who among us is truly innocent?" - favourite line, it nails all doubts 🩸
where is the part 2? i need aswers,,, donde esta la parte dos necesito respuestas esta muy emocionante y triste

If only they focused on shorter animations of high quality. A series following her could work, much of the rest felt like fluff.

Not Xeno weapons though.
Mutants using Imperium weapons
Extremely weak captain. Has absolutely no place as the commander of that ship.
Techmarine: "Y'all fucking serious?"
Mutiny on the Bounty! I get it!
It's all fun and games until you face an Astartes
