Using standard assembly constraints with a drive option you can preform part of this in the regular environment. However once you go to the third layer this approach is to much for the system to handle and dynamic sim is the only solution. If you build the model with only one layer of gears as the video shows . You can then add a angle constraint to the handle part inserting plane to a assembly global plane. This will not allow the assembly to move because you have lock all the degrees of freedom, however if you right click on the angle constraint you will see a drive option. in the drive option you can set the start angle to 0 and the finish angle to 360 and run it that way.
