I really like how the nest box turned out. I love how the kids are learning and growing on the homestead. They do things sometimes without being told because they know the work needs to be done.
Hey Gang, Justin, you're absolutely right on parents noticing the negativity in children, you on the other hand rewarding Johna about the good deeds and choices he makes is very inspirational to others, that's why you are a SUPPERDAD and a SUPPERFARMER God's Good Blessings to you and your beautiful family keep up the good work really enjoy your podcasts and adventures on the homestead, XOXOXOXO love U guys
Merry Christmas! I pre-ordered your book already. I'm looking forward to getting it. It was great to see the cows get moooooved to the pole barn for their winter quarters. That was great that Jonah got it ready without having to be asked to do it. He really is a responsible teen. The chicken nests on the a frames look really nice. I hope the chickens adapt and start using them when the chick shaw gets removed from the high tunnel. Thanks for this Justin and family.
My comment today is virtual hug for you all! What a wonderful example of the kindness of our Father and humility of His Son with the encouragement and transparency in the beginning of the video. ❤
Your kids are amazing, they constantly surpass themselves and I'm not sure you could manage without them. It's so good that you appreciate them and honour them. Eva UK
Bookmarks like that work really well. All you have to do is fold it in thirds, like a pamphlet, the layers give it some rigidity. If you like you can also use a glue stick and trim the top and bottom. But it'll work just fine folded
Hi Justin, if you want your hens to start using the new nest boxes.... Just to start off with you need to lift up the flaps so the hens can see that they are nests, then put a couple of eggs in each new nest box. Get rid of the old nest boxes. I'll let you in on a secret that isn't really a secret, Hens like to lay eggs where they or other hens have layed their eggs before & they do like to have nesting material straw, hay etc.... But with those nest boxes I don't think you can have nesting material. Once your hens have been laying eggs in the new nestboxes you can then after a week remove the eggs daily & leave down the flaps. I hope this helps. From a long time viewer & friend, Greetings all the way from Australia to you & your family, Fiona.
Yes I still have all the washers, screws, and oh the drill bits, etc. of my Dad"s. He passed away in 1999 and the boys went thru some tools but there is still alot of little things. It is like a treasure hunt sometimes. I don't know what to do with all the polish and grinding bits.
Love all that you do and I am 14 and I have had chickens for about three years and I found inspiration in you and your kids so I thank you because I think it has had a positive impact on me so thank you.
I have a very similar one and they still roost on the top and I’m scooping poo buildup from the top and in the front edge of the boxes. I don’t have a flap though so that might deflect it.
Chickens don’t like change. You need to at least open the blue curtains for a week. And maybe even move them gently when they are in the old nest box to the new one.
i used to have the same container that was your dad's my son has it now .............. i think the new nest boxes are great but a bit high ??? hugsssss
He goes back to India to see his mother and redo his visa every now and then for a few months. He is still posting on his channel, Arun Kumar. He stated that they hope to finally get their own homestead somewhere in the area near Justin when they return.
Hay justin I love your channel and the family farm animal But you have to say by or some thing before you sign off because I always think I miss something or your videos speed up then I'm on the next video so please sign off thank you. And merry Christmas to you and your family. 😀😁
You may need to watch the angle of your nest boxes… the roll-away only works when they’re accurately angled, so the grade of the coop will matter. Also … when training them to the new boxes, temporarily securing one of the blue curtains up so they recognize there is space back there, will speed up the transition process. Once they’re working as they should, roll away boxes are awesome. Cleaner eggs and they certainly saved my egg eaters from the pot. 🤣
Not on the topic of this post but I’m wondering why we haven’t seen Arun? I watch most of the videos and don’t remember hearing anything but could have missed something. Does anyone know? I miss him!
Hi... Justin Rhodes and your children to nice to see you all love watching your videos, thank you for showing your video homestead chickens duck goose farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐥🐕🐈🐑🐄🐖🐇🌱🌺🌹🌿🌻🌼🌸🍀🌷🏡🎥👍👍👍
Jonah is a remarkable young man, I believe in a few years he will be able to run that farm.
I am wondering if his dad and mom will let him have a enterprise, maybe pigs in the wooded area, when he gets a little older.

You could add a few tree branches in with the chickens so they can perch.

Merry Christmas 🎅
Blessings to all!
Curious if you have to clean out all the old bedding and start with fresh since the pigs have left the area and the cows are moving in.

I’m just curious as to when you will scrape out the old deep bedding in the barn. ? I thought you would scrape it out now and start over.
I love how you teach your kids
Love how you come up with new ways of modernising your homestead. The boys are super thinkers on how to get work done easily and fast .
Good evening everyone 👋🏻👋🏻😊

If you make the bookmarks 8" long you can fit several to a page horizontally.
Rolling nesting boxes worked perfectly for me. Bet you’ll like them!
Johnah is a big boy n a great example still my favorite taking lead as a first born. I just member how I used to do it. Thanks Johnnah
Hey Justin I hope the chickens figure it out and they’re nice nest boxes! 🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏💯💯💯
How are the bunnies doing???? Hope the chickens are not jumping on the cages?????
I would've bet money on Jonah being the one who set everything up at the pole barn.
Yes, I knew who also. Don't see much ofLilly anymore.
Rhodes Bros Channel new Video got 10 out of 10!
Oh to be a kid again and think that a week is a "long way away" lol

Kids are grown up time fly so fast
If the box is not tilted .how is the eggs supposed to roll.so u can get them.
Missing Arrun (however you spell it) , where is he?
He goes back to India to see his mother and redo his visa every now and then for a few months. He is still posting on his channel, Arun Kumar. He stated that they hope to finally get their own homestead somewhere in the area near Justin when they return.
Hi, some people have trouble finding Arun's channel because they don't look for it on UA-cam.
Hey Justin. Are you still getting eggs at this time of year? If so is it because of the polytunnel or any other reason?
nice
Your children are so awesome. What is the brand of your nesting box?
Maybe put the chickens a make shift walk up .
Where did you get those nesting boxes? We are wanting to redo our coop & those boxes would be perfect!
You may not be keen to think of it but your children's spouses will be extremely happy to have helpful, knowledgeable, skilled partners.
Where did you buy the box from
It looks like the nest box might be too high.
who makes the metal nesting box?
Justin, Just wondering if you have ever tried intermittent fasting for your health issues. From what I understand, it has great healing qualities.
Thought you had put the rabbits in with the chickens? Did you move them again?
We put our rabbits over chickens in our winter set up too. It works great not having frozen trays to fight with.
That plant near your PC looks like it needs some water
Your supposed to tilt that box so the eggs will fall
Hay justin I love your channel and the family farm animal

Living Traditions has just started a series on raising meat rabbits. Please watch it.
I printed the bookmark out then laminated it cause otherwise it's gonna get destroyed at my house...
No, no, no...leave the bookmark bigger; it won’t get lost inside the book nearly as much as a small one.
👋❤️🙏
Have you lost your way?
