Hi there Mr.Hoffman I’m really enjoying the series so far, there’s a minor concern I have though, I’ve noticed that as opposed to the typical 88 key pianos mine is a 61 key one and I was wondering if it’s worth continuing with it as I’m learning this in hopes of becoming a professional
Hi @maplemaple01 - That's a really exciting goal! Thanks for writing to us. I would recommend investing in an 88 keyed piano with weighted keys if your plan is to become a professional. Check out our blog article here for help! www.hoffmanacademy.com/blog/how-to-shop-for-a-piano/
Hello! Thank you for your question. Yes, knowing your musical alphabet forward and backward is very helpful when playing the piano, because it helps you find the keys that you need to play the songs that you are playing. Melodies in songs sometimes go up the musical alphabet and sometimes go down the musical alphabet, sometimes they step, but sometimes they skip. If you know your alphabet forwards and backwards, it's easier to step and skip along with the melody!

Mr. Hoffman does learning the musical alphabet backwards and every other letter actually make you play the piano better? If so how?
