i have a au explanation for this, yashiro, without hanako's consent decided to disobey hanako and accept the mermaid's (somewhere near the ending and episode one of tbhk's anime.) deal of making her a ''princess''. but she was half tricked, half not. she did not become a princess, but was given the rank of ''divine priestess''. she was trained to lead people wisely by the mermaid. the mermaid thought hanako would eventually find out about yashiro's disappearance, so she told her to change her name into ''sangnomiya kokomi'', the mermaid explained to her that it is for her public appearance as a priestess. lol she forgot about hanako dont even think about it.
It’s makes sense actually since they both fish whenever I see Kokomi I think of nene 😅👍🏻 or hu Tao as hanako or albedo as kou since Klee remainds me of tiara 😂

Ik he isn't really reckless i don't think idk] When gorou dies like in that video, [he doesn't cannonically] Yashiro/Kokomi felt that she has lost another person very dear to her.
