This is some AoE 2 theory. If you go archers, your priority is damage while if going melee units your priority is armor. Another thing is that on team games, one player usually goes archers and the other cavalry. It would be interesting to see if this could apply to AoM but I don't think its the case, as in team games mobility is king.

Is going FH with Oranos to get a couple of contarius heroes a good idea against centaurs? It seems to completely counter centaurs. You can go Hyperion really early, hit a chaos, get 3 contarius heroes immediately and the centaurs are done
