This is hilarious. Yesterday, while watching NFL Redzone, I said to my son I keep seeing this fantasy in my head. Williams on one side, Davante on the other and Wilson in the slot, with Breece&Braelon in the backfield with a dash of Conklin and Ruckert. When you said the same thing, as far as Wilson in the slot, I didn't feel so delusional lol. I'm not one of those impulsive Jets fans who says the words Super Bow after 2 wins, but that offense along with the defense makes them a Super Bowl favorite as long as the O Line continues playing the way it has been.
This team would be something special!!
If you can land Adams you do it. People who say we don’t need him ask yourself did the Bucs need AB ? Did the rams need OBJ prior to woods getting hurt ? To win a superbowl you don’t just upgrade when something is a need you get as much talent as possible. Now getting reddick at some point is a need.

I’m a Jets fan from when I was 6 years old watching Namath with my dad. Moved to Wisconsin so my NFC team became the Packers. If you don’t want Davante, watch some Packers highlights with him and Rodgers. It’s borderline telepathic the connection they have. It would make this offense nearly unstoppable and would elevate G5 as he learns from one of the most sophisticated route runners ever

While Adams may not necessarily be the biggest need, depending on what happens with Reddick and stuff, if the Raiders just go up to the Jets and be like “Yo JD, free shot.” The Jets are absolutely going to take the crack at Davante.
If the Raiders are straight up DUMPING you Davante Adams, you don’t turn that offer down PERIOD. It becomes a problem if they move on, and he goes to somewhere like Buffalo or Dallas.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I genuinely think we have plenty of firepower already. Between GW, Mike Williams, Lazard, Gipson, and Corley slowly getting rotated in, that is a ton of spreading the ball around. That isn’t even including Conklin, Ruckert, Hall or Allen. Only way I’m ok with this is if it’s Reddick for Adams straight up.

Mike will is injury prone, lazards hot now but you never know with him, gipson and corley are more gadget guys for now. Get DA and make defenses pick their posion. GW is getting shade coverage from a safety on every snap and noone else is able to take the attention away from him.
@@AndyMilonakis-j5p Both arguments are in theory, you could make the same argument that Mike Williams could possibly stay health and Lazard could be as good as we think, then what? We bury talent down the depth chart and give up future assets for talent we can barely utilize. Nothings saying Corley couldn’t become both an inside and outside threat either. You have to ask yourself is giving up what they want worth it, and for an aging Adams, i personally wouldn’t be comfortable doing anything more than Reddick and a super late pick (5th and beyond)
@@sniipz1 historically speaking, which “theory” is the most likely case here? Corley hasnt even sniffed the ball yet. Mike will has been hurt every single year, lazard has always had issues with drops late in the season/postseason.
You have a small window to win a championship. GW, Sauce, JJ, Breece are all due for contract extensions very soon. You cant always play the “win now” but without sacrificing the future option. If it takes reddick and a second, you go for it. Increase your chances of winning by bringing in stability at the position.
@@AndyMilonakis-j5p Have you considered that we are using Mike Williams completely different than he has been his entire career, normally he gets a ton of targets and volume. This year, he has been used gingerly in specific situations and moments. Nothing will change my mind about giving up Reddick and a 2nd for Adams id rather have that 2nd round player for 5 future years than a one year rental for Adams OR extending him and risking not being able to sign one of our stable young players, I think he is past his prime years and a 2nd is too rich for me, Rodgers makes WRs better and it’s evident in his career. I see your argument but it’s just too rich for what you’re actually getting in an aging Adams who from an eye test looks like a shell of his former self.
Tae would be perfect to take the pressure off 5 and make the defense "pick their poison," as to which one to defend. It would also free up so much of the run knowing they have to pass defend against two top 15 guys, and a deep route merchant in Mike Williams. Plus, Wilson can learn a lot from Tae since they are pretty similar receivers that have the ability to line up wide but also the route finesse and speed to be lined up in the slot. It would be a nightmare for defenses. Honestly, I wouldn't even wait for the deadline, wait a couple more weeks for the Raiders to lose a few more games, and then go for it if you can before Buffalo week 6.
If being on the jets will make divontae Adam's and Aaron Rogers extremely happy. Then i'm all about it.

We have some trade value in Haason Reddick, so we could trade Reddick for Adams plus the Jets give up a high pick in compensation. Jets give 2nd or 3rd Rd pick in 2025 and Reddick for Adams. My only concern is the Jets having too many receivers (Adams, Garrett, Williams, Lazard, Gipson) so here is a trade scenario; Reddick, Corley & a mid pick for Adams.

It doesn't make sense to keep Reddick, because he needs to start at Right End. If we keep him, we would have to put Will McDonald at Left End and he's not good stopping the run. If we trust McDonald to start at edge, we need to get a low cost, run stopping LE, like a JFM on the other side.
I have no problem with keeping Reddick once he’s done sitting home and burning money he can be a rotational piece behind will McDonald IV where he belongs

Adams may not be a need, right now atleast. But I still have my doubts Williams makes it through a full season. Hopefully he is getting to 100 percent now but from what I've seen of him the last couple seasons, he'll be playing at his highest level, get injured, and never come back. There's a reason he was had for only a 1 year deal with playing time incentives.
I wouldn't give up a ton for Adams. But he could still fill a bigtime need. If Williams stays healthy then all the better.

Wilson wants the ball on every play. You can see it by his body language. It’s not a bad thing. With Adams, eventually Wilson gets the ball less and the media will jump on any negative stuff they can hence ruining his career here. The media is relentless.
