I don‘t miss disc on the road and I am still happy with my old CAAD 10 with 2x10. As I am riding since many years and have a look on my actually perfect felt geometry, I don‘t feel anything changed here and need to change. The only point is tyres width I agree with „more is better“ and „less pressure“ 👍.
I've got a Van Rysel NCR CF SRAM Rival with up to 35mm clearance. Would you recommend going from the standard 28mm to 32mm for regular rides? I never compete
Had to do some research on that bike. For the ‘do it all’ bike like you have I would try a 32c tyre, and probably commit to running it tubeless. You would be able to run some very low pressures with those, and they would make the bike very capable and comfortable.
I totally disagree with your third point.... I can see the advantages and disadvantages of rim and disc brakes but to say frame design due to brake types caused problems to compliance is utter nonsense.

What do you weigh (re tire pressure etc)?
Great question. Rider weight 73kg, and aim for 70psi on the front and 75psi on the rear.
thanks - about the same here - slightly under at 69kg @@simplecyclist

Tire size and wheel size contribute to compliance... so yeah seems like a contributing factor, yeah.
