Worked in the grocery business and eventually had 2 stores of his own.One in North Whie Plains, NY. His business was very successful but I'm most proud of him delivering groceries to people during the depression, with no expectation of payment. They dont make them like they used!! That was beautiful, tears welling up in my eyes. Reminds me of my grandfather John C Hegarty coming over from Ireland, with an 8th grade education, family were poor farmers. "Papa" came over to USA. Worked in the grocery business and eventually had 2 stores of his own.One in North Whie Plains, NY. His business was very successful but I'm most proud of him delivering groceries to people during the depression, with no expectation of payment. They dont make them like they used!! (I include myself in that) I was in college the whole 4 years Mario was our Governor. I have a strong feeling Mario and John would be fast friends
