6:08 Who would win: A legendary lizard with the power to consume any living creature in overwhelming hellfire, or one sandy shrew? (The answer may surprise you)
So i gotta say something about the run more basic Pokemon message. I recently realised every type has a stage 1 evolution that requires generic energy to attack for 40 and have 80 hp. I've been running them to just have good early attackers and honestly just chipping in for 40 as early as your turn 2 has been good
21:40 As a Magic player I have to slightly disagree with some of your comments here. WotC has shown interest in making cards for a digital client, which is why there are "Alchemy" cards on Magic Arena, including a format to play with them. Yes, Arena is a client made for the original game like Pokemon TCG Live as you said, but it's also dabbling in digital only mechanics like those seen in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The issue is more that the players have a mixed response to them at best, and that some of the designs just fundamentally break the regular game that the digital designs are trying to work in (Perpetual effects are especially problematic). I do agree that WotC aren't likely to redesign the entire game system, but that doesn't mean they aren't open to working in that space and updating the rules where appropriate. We recently even got a pretty fundamental change with the removal of combat damage assignment order, something that was a relic of the transition from damage going onto the stack. Rules are being modernized, bit by bit, it's just that full edition changes don't happen anymore after we made the huge change to the current system. All that said, Magic is very slow to really do new things. Sets are designed years in advance, so any changes that may be wanted take time to manifest, and often the loud parts of the community will be very vocal about things they don't agree with, even if it is objectively an improvement (for example the combat damage order removal).
Getting cards you want. What they mean by "hoard hourglasses" is actually "stop opening extra packs when you have all the cards you want" which is fairly common sense I would think.
In the first game, after Charizard retreated, the correct play was to Stretch Kick the Chameleon and take the prize since Charizard coming to the active was a death sentence and loses him the game.
Free 2 play 400 hourglass, ill have the mini set day 1 and not be salty watching whales and every opp run new stuff. And i have almost every card why waste since i played early
Have you ever felt like going second is better than going first? Then maybe I could introduce you to "Stage 1 Pokemon with 1-energy attacks!" Bonus points of those Stage 1 Pokemon have a single energy retreat cost. Baby Marowak is a house when you are on the play. Probably the card in my collection that overperforms vs expectations the most. If you're going second, try to set up your EX Marowak or your Sandslash and use the energy advantage, by all means.
why the gloves on the wrong hands in the thumbnail 😂
Gets engagement? But also I didn't notice I got the vibe
As a pro boxer it bothered me
This is the funniest shit ever 😂😂😂
The thumbnail of Jeff Tyson was enough for me alone to hit the like button.

I previously passed on Hitmonlee in this deck but now I'm sold, the utility was showcased nicely here.
The thumbnail is top-notch!! Great video Jeff!!
for the hourglass hoarding, with the new sets coming up for those that have most the cards already doesnt it make sense to save for the new packs?
Correct if you have all the cards you want from the existing pack.
SandLash 💅✨
15:39 Is there a link to the Alakazam + Greninja list mentioned?

Yes it's on this channel
Yep. All sorts of great brews here since Pocket dropped: ua-cam.com/video/W_A8j_iYV9I/v-deo.html

One of the first decks a lot of people built because of the free marowak ex you could get.
Do you prefer the Sandslash combo over the Primeape? Seems like Sandslash is a little more flexible into more matchups than Primeape.
For sure - much better in the Mewtwo match up.
This is the first deck i built!
18:13 tbh i don't take the game seriously enough
Is there a reason NOT to hoard hour glasses?

Also hording hour glasses to open 10 packs feels so good not gonna lie but it doesn't make a difference I think?
I think people are hoarding them to open packs in the next set.
@BurazSC2 ah that's fair. I don't have all the cards so Ive been opening packs
7:40 Why would you put that out into the world (even if it probably already existed)😨💀
Marowak EX never works for me 🤣🤣🤣

Why do you scream while streaming? Your voice has to be cooked after a few hours
My voice is not "cooked" because I'm not screaming is the answer to your question.
Marowak non ex sucks against almost every deck... just put two ex in...

100 hp
1 energy to attack for 40
stage 1
non-ex, so 1 prize point.
that is solid into damn near every deck being played right now.
UA-cam comments: The place where people both constantly complain going first is bad while also refusing to play cards that are good when going first.
