The best part of these soundtracks is how wacky and serious they can be at the same time you can go from the groovy bops of Vers yo kai ver 1 to McKrackens fever dream of a fight in seconds (also using wisps and ghost like noises in that final battle is ingenious!
I play DnD with some friends, I once put on the Classic Yokai battle ost and they asked me if this was combat music or dancing music. Basically he enjoyed it despite not knowing anything about the games.
The music in video games can make an ok game good and a good game great. The music in Yokai Watch and Mario Galaxy for me made those two games perfect, it was the cherry on top. Yokai Watch specifically has a really unique sound, it's just so charming, well written and doesn't sound too cheesy/ gimmicky, it's just perfection from every emotion there is.
We gotta be all honest, Captain Thunder’s theme alone made it my favorite boss battle in yokai Watch. The fact that is a band version of USApyon’s Vader mode was perfect
So happy to see a Yo-Kai watch video after all this time that's not just "the downfall of Yo-Kai Watch", these games were my childhood. The music is so amazing and pretty damn nostalgic. Every time I hear Uptown Springdale or Mt. Wildwood its just a ton of good memories.
something about yokai watch's music, its ost is probably my favorite, only rivaled by pokemon mystery dungeon (at the moment at least) it says a lot when i can sit in a pause menu just to listen to a battle theme instead of actually playing the game, i just cant help getting super into the boss themes as well, especially the final boss of the first game's main story the song being as chaotic as it is just sets in the mood, especially considering how chaotically frustrating the fight can be if youre not prepared, and yet one section of the music begins to play incredibly uplifting and courageously, sort of like a "fight on, you can do this!" kind of beat i just adore this series' ost, its honestly so fantastic at portraying the feelings at any given moment
Easily my favorite game soundtrack of all time. And I've played some games with damn good OSTs. It beats out the everything in the Persona series, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Toby Fox's anything, you name it.
Vs Classic Yokai was such an(and still is) amazing theme for the first boss especially the opening bit as it gives the feeling of Ladies and Gentlemen here we go again
Infinite tunneel has that uncanny valley type feel which is pushed with moody mary, one of the very few yo kai you can not befriend not even in puni where many previously unobtainable yo kai can be befriended there and more on the way yet moody mary is never obtained in any way probably cause she cannot simply manifest a medal or a medallion entry to truly exist as one
The Yo-Kai Watch series is home to some absolutely amazing soundtracks. Some even surpassing Pokémon soundtracks by a long shot, in my opinion. One of my all time favorites being ‘Dog of the North Star’. There are many more but if I listed them all, this comment would be way too long.
Nostalgia just started rushing in when I heard "Vs. classic Yo-Kai" that theme *does not* need to go that hard! and let's not forget Dame Dedtime and Damona's themes... absolute bangers! (I also like YKWPS intro-)
The music hits the vibe and the beats help give the music a sort of energy you can’t find much these days. It isnt as orchestral of as serious as Pokemon tried to be, but when its serious, God knows it hits those vibes super well. Even its battle themes match the vibe of the fights to a T and generally are part of what makes the game so engaging. A big part of why the games, and the anime did so poorly, at least in my opinion, are the removal of the intros for the dumb Swampy marsh song. It isnt.. bad, but it definitely was overused and the original intros fit the games and the series very well especially with how they attached themself to a specific version of the game. Along with such, the intros for Sukiyaki and Buster’s, while localized, were able to have that kind of effect in a sense. They attached themselves in the game and made it an interesting sort of tease for what was to be offered in a very pleasing way. They gave each game a sort of different tone, and still managed to sound amazing and give people the idea of ‘Yeah, this is yokai watch’ but in its own unique way. Lord knows the music hit the tones and beats perfectly. And its a big part why its better than pokemon in many ways.
Yo-kai Watch's music slaps hard! Gera Gera Po is the most iconic opening song. The localization version was actually great for season 1 anime, but then they replaced it with this borning original song that felt so generic it just sucks. I have a few favorite battle OSTs, but the one I still couldn't find one UA-cam is the remix version of YW1 Boss Battle for YW2.
Yokai watch is a great 3ds/switch/ps4 series which has little reviews compared to pokemon and the ones making them have low views. I am thankful for UA-cam creator Abdallah for making yokai watch playthroughs that's the reason I got in this series. Also yokai watch blasters has free DLC and pokemon sword and shield dont so yah.
I remember once I was humming the ykw1 boss music in school and it was really loud.loud to the Point were the teacher called in me to stop humming.Goes to show how good this games music is
They had no reason to put a cutscene of Rongo Swirll killing it on the drumb, but they did it anyway, that how you know a franchise put love in their game
Yeah, I don't have much to say when it comes to discussing music. I'm an extremely basic person that likes songs like Call Me Maybe and Goofy Goober Rock.
when it's a regular fight we're fighting as wacky and creative . when it's a serious fight we be fighting like samurais and ninjas. when it's a serious fight but in america we be fighting like gangsters and mafia
Infinite Tunnel song was too much for a kids game, it felt way too eerie and as you walk deeper and deeper to the tunnel you just felt lonely and lonelier, it's like the backrooms but for kids lol
I have never played the games aside from the demos of 1 & 2 and now seeing the prices of the games thanks to the Eshop being shut down I don’t think I ever will get to play them, I mean my 3ds doesn’t work cause I don’t have a working charger and need to get the charge port replaced
My favorites are vs strong yokai and vs strong classic yokai. Im a REALLY big fan of banger battle and boss music from video games :D For some reason the merican version just doesn’t do it for me

I also find the entire soundtrack describes the weird nature of the Yo-kai
Indeed, the musics are really nice.
There's always something spoopy and whimsical about the music
I play DnD with some friends, I once put on the Classic Yokai battle ost and they asked me if this was combat music or dancing music. Basically he enjoyed it despite not knowing anything about the games.
Did that too with the campaign I'm in, and it's funny how people recognized it just from my face
Now I want a Yo-kai Watch dancing game
@@wobblewokgaming655There already is one for the Wii

*Komasan's theme
*Dame Deadtime boss theme
*Mckraken (2nd form) boss theme
*Psychic Specters Japanese Opening
you're wrong purely because you didn't put in rongo swirll
I'd like to add the Ghoulfather's theme to that list.

I wasn't expecting you to like this game series, glad I was proven wrong.
Bruh the infinite tunnel sound immediately gave me anxiety because of how terrified I was going through there as a kid
I guess you could say YoKai Watch music is rather...IN-TUNE! (ba dum TSS)
Rongo Swirll and Don-Chan hitting that drum together for them.

Yo-kai Watch has a great OST! Gets better each game!
Vs Classic Yokai was such an(and still is) amazing theme for the first boss especially the opening bit as it gives the feeling of Ladies and Gentlemen here we go again
The Infinite Tunnel music is one of my favourite songs ever. Its so eerie and it could loop forever. So good.

These soundtracks are so underrated, mckraken's theme and vs strong yo kai especially. Very atmospheric.
When you make a yokai watch vid its great.

Aye and actually fun bosses
YKW4 really bumps up the epic music too, and I love it.
You could have had a detailed analysis of the music. But sometimes the music speaks for itself.
I litterly can’t stop groving to this music every time I hear it I wanna jam out
Yokai watch 3 has some of the best battle themes ever to name a few:
Vs. Strong Merican yokai
Vs. Venoct and Kyubi
And Vs. Sighborg Y
Yo-kai Watch music is underrated

Most Yo Kai watch games are just banger soundtracks that come with a free game
Someone needs to tell me the instruments they used for any of the songs related to yokai that make its sound creepy and weird, I love it!!

Vs. Classic Yo-Kai, Vs. Strong Yo-Kai and Vs. Tough Merican Yo-kai are my personal favorites.
God, the ykw music slaps so hard
My favourite yo kai musics are anime openings like shadowside gingiraginga, ancient romantic... etc
my favourite music in all of yo kai watch is probably the boss theme song from ykw 2

No, thank you for this amazing video.
kind of dissapointed that babblong's theme isn't in the video. But yeah yokai watch music goes really hard and it's very unique and recognizable
Yo kai watch has some good music, but I think Pokémon definitely has them. The amount of just pure classic video game music from those games are crazy
I wish Pokemon had proper lyrical music like Yo-Kai Watch does. The 2BA Master anime music being proper game music would be ideal.
Are you planning on doing a part 2? I love this concept sm!
No promises. If I think of any good jokes, I might.
The name of the blasters theme is ‘manjimut’s big escape’?
Yeah. All the other versions are remixes of that song.
It’s very odd that a theme related to Manjimut is common attributed to the Blasters and by Proxy Sargent Burly(who’s based off of a real person BTW)
Yokai watch has an easily better soundtrack than pokemon. Change my mind
My favorites are vs strong yokai and vs strong classic yokai. Im a REALLY big fan of banger battle and boss music from video games :D
