Chef AJ, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in March 2017. I am still here and doing wonderfully. I haven’t had any treatment since February 2020. When I was first diagnosed, I turned to people, such as yourself, to help me and inspire me. I worked on eating healthy. I am plant strong; I haven’t eaten meat since 2018. I understand the anxiety; there is such a fear of the unknown. My friend and coworker gave me this advice: it’s already been decided what it is; you can’t change that. All you can do is decide how you are going to handle it. I turned to creating art, eating healthier and laughter. I would tell people I was living with cancer. A good friend turned that around: he said Cancer is living with you; it’s time to evict it. That’s exactly what I did. Stay positive; don’t let your thoughts go anywhere but seeing yourself being healthy. I will keep you in my prayers as many people kept me in theirs. Thank you for sharing your diagnosis with us so we can support you as you have supported so many of us. 💜💜💜.
My mom had a year of chemo at about age 65 Stage 4 lung cancer. She got rid of it and lived another 22 years. I loved your inner knowing …I have stories like that with my mom. Her dr said it was her having good angels ! Prayers and love to you!
Great info. My mom stage 4 large cell carcinoma Lund .Crossed her body into her hip. Unfortunately chemo is what got her. First round. We did ask for keytruds directly and they said no let's try this first. I should have fought harder for her.
CHECK OUT DR. JOHN CAMPBELL FROM THE U.K. HE HAS A YOUYTUBE CHANNEL AND IS VERY CREDIBLE. HE HAS RECENTLY TALKED ABOUT FEN BEDOL (not sure its spelled correctly). PLEASE LOOK INTO IT!
I feel confident in saying that there are millions of us out there who just want to hug you right now. You have helped countless people and creatures live better lives, and will continue to do so. Feel our love.❤
Bitcoin surpassed $100,000 for the first time on Wednesday, reaching a new high as its rally continued, partly driven by the election of former President Donald
Thank you Chef AJ for sharing your story and knowledge with us! We love you and you've got this!! You will beat this and we're your biggest cheerleaders the whole way!! 🥰♥
Chef AJ, I've never written you before. I want you to know that you have transformed my life for the good in powerful ways. Not just nutritionally, but also as you are a role model of living an authentic, bold, big, generous life. You've brought so much good to the world. I wish I could give you a big hug. I hope to be able to bring even a small percentage of the good you've brought to the world. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Please take the time to feel your goodness deeply, powerfully.
I lost my mom to stage 4 ovarian cancer this year on Mother’s Day. It has humbled me and my opinion on what I used to think about cancer in General. You have had Chris Beat Cancer on your show! He knows better than anyone in the healing world as he dealt with it and still is in preventative measures. Love you so much.
In 1976, 65 year old Stamatis Moraitis was diagnosed with lung cancer and given less than a year to live. After several doctors confirmed the diagnosis, Moraitis refused treatment and moved back to the blue zone Greek island of Ikaria in Greece. Stamatis was born there and wanted to be buried with his ancestors. He reconnected with his faith walking to a tiny Greek Orthodox Church near his home. His childhood friends began visiting and they talked for hours, sharing a bottle or two of wine. Moraitis planted vegetables in a small garden even though he thought he wouldn’t be around to harvest them. In the evening, he walked to the local tavern to play tavli (backgammon) with his friends. Over 3 decades later, on a trip to visit his children in the U.S., he tried to return to his doctors to see why he was still alive. “My doctors were all dead,” he said. Moraitis passed away at the age of 102, 36 years after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
AJ - listen to your podcast with Mat today Sunday 12-8-24 in Southern, Fl. I'm reading many responses and many of them are very uplifting that they beat it the terminal lung cancer and you can too. I know you will. I'm thinking of registering for the Holistic holiday at Sea out of Miami in March 2025. And I hope that you will be on that cruise teaching wonderful lifestyle thoughts and plant based menus. Would be fun to celebrate your 65th birthday on the cruise (earlier) although your bday is March 22. Mine is March 21. 🎉 Love you. Brandi
My heart just dropped! You have been the light of our lives for so long. Please don’t take on the burden of worrying what others think or say. You are in our hearts and we all want the very best for you. 💙💙💙 Susan J.
I was diagnosed with lung cancer in the left lung 2 weeks ago and believe me I understand. I'm praying for both of us. Much love to you and so thankful you are sharing. Bless!!
My 94 year old mom was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer at age 86--tumors reduced in size to small nodules, she follows WFPB life style and never smoked. Me: 20 years post breast cancer also WFPB. Your healthy lifestyle is an inspiration! Thank you for sharing.
Cancer is multifactoral and we live stressed out lives especially with everything that's happening constantly. I have always known that keeping stress in check would be vital for longevity along with diet, lifestyle etc. Wishing you the best.
Remember your message has always been LOVE.. I was into 10 years McDougalling when I had colon cancer... it took me a good 6 months to surrender and have the colon surgery.. I fasted.. I fought the surgery etc. then finally I had the surgery it went great.. that must have 12 years ago. Today I am 81.. I see myself on a bus.. when I start questioning when is my stop coming up?.. I remember, that's right I am getting off at the end of the ride. Seeing you happy, joyus, and free of anxiety, living your best life.. with your little dog and husband.
AJ, You are SO LOVED!! Please feel the love, positivity, prayers, and caring surrounding you and breathe in the healing, loving light, let it release your fears, bringing you calmness and a deep knowing that all will be well. Cry when you need to and laugh as much as you can. We are all with you. ❤️❤️❤️
Live in the now!! Never give up. I'm a four time cancer survivor along with multiple autoimmune diseases. This is why I chose a "mostly" vegan lifestyle. You inspired me and will continue to forever. Take deep breaths...keep on living. and laughing. I love that you are sharing...so important that your have all our support.
My heart is very sad with this news. I am very sorry that you are going through this. Trust in God and move forward. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The reasons you had for saying it so far only God and you know it, we should not judge you, we all have battles. What I learned from this is not to be so strict with diets and enjoy health goes beyond there are many pillars and number one is the most difficult to live a life like our Lord Jesus Christ. you are in my prayers thank you for everything you do 🙏❤️😘
@@montissawilliams1393 I love the Dr Max Gerson story...and everything he did to help save lives. And I admired Charlotte Gerson, her love for her Dad & his work, and her love for people. She was a staunch advocate and a heroine of mine. 💕
My husband passed away 2 years ago after an unexpected diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. We asked and his oncologist guessed that he had about 3 or 4 months to live. It was out of the blue to hear this. After watching him through that time, I learned that for me personally it was much different than I expected. I had always been afraid of death, but it's not what you imagine. It was a much more peaceful time. Things slowed down and seemed to get slower and quieter. His family and friends were there and supportive to both of us. One of the last things he did before he passed away was to pray while we held hands. It comforted both of us. And we had family there with him 24/7 so he was not alone. I have lost that feeling of anxiety about the future. And I tell God many times a day how grateful I am for all that I have in life no matter how small.
@@CHEFAJ Dear AJ, I was touched by your thoughtful, kind reply. I'm so sorry to hear what you are dealing with. You've always seemed to care about others. And your long history of helping others who are ill shows that. Please be assured that you have many followers who are kind people and also care about you even though we don't know you personally. Your appealing qualities shine through in many ways. Our thoughts are with you.
Dear Chef AJ, I was a guest on your show and I just wanted to say how brave you are to share this with everyone and being vulnerable. My mum has a similar cancer to you- an adenocarcinoma of her lung- she had it removed from one lung lobe but is still under surveillance for 3 years as she has some changes in the other lung too. I wish you all the best for the decision you make with regard to ongoing treatment x
I suffered a near-death experience with thyroid storm some years ago. Doc said he was surprised I lived; when he found out I was vegan, he said, "That's why!" This lifestyle doesn't mean we don't get sick, but it can very well mean (and does) that we have better chances for recovery. Here's wishing you a speedy one, AJ! Eyes on that prize!
Dearest AJ, I am so glad you reached out to us (your supporters & admirers) in such honesty and love. You are not hurting “the cause” of plant-based eating at ALL. Nobody said (or should) that this way of eating inoculated us from all illness. Only the type people with no heart would criticize your honesty here. We love you, will support you all the way through to total healing of this. Miracles happen every day, you have an army of prayer warriors pulling for you !
You are my favorite person. You have changed my life by giving me confidence in plant based eating. I have watched almost every chef AJ show with doctors. Praying for your healing.
Chef AJ, please sit quietly for a few moments, close your eyes, breathe easily, and know that you are so loved and respected and are being held in the collective embrace of your followers. We are honored to do so for you! ❤️😘
Chef AJ, you were the first influencer I found on UA-cam after my chiropractor told me she thought I had a food addiction in 2019. I went home and googled "food addiction" and found you on UA-cam and became a vegan. You were new to UA-cam. I watched you grow into the important influencer you are. You never altered from being kind and caring and so helpful always to those of us needing guidance and support. Now we get to support you. I will hold you in my heart always. Thank you so much.
Chef AJ, you are the first influencer to help me also, and I am so grateful!! I have enjoyed and learned so much from you, and enjoy the cookbooks of your that I have. You dessert book is beautiful!! Sending a hug. Praying for you and your husband
I've reflected on this most courageous of courageous podcasts and if more people had one tenth the integrity and honesty of Chef AJ this country and the world would be a far better place. Chef AJ - Every minute you are here on the planet you are an amazing gift and I expect you to be here for MANY years to come.
My mother in law was diagnosed with lung cancer at age 93 … accidentally found after being xrayed for a minor fall at her retirement home. After given the option of surgery (doctor’s preference) chemo plus radiation or just radiation… it was decided that both surgery and chemo would probably do her in and instead went with radiation only. She is now 97, and the oncologist said that it is a miracle, but he has to call her “cured”. There is no sign of it. She has some damage to the lobe of lung that was radiated because radiation does some damage, but that was worth it to get rid of it. She also has a very slow growing breast cancer that has not been a problem either. She is still enjoying her life and we are so glad she is happy and still here. Like you, she had no symptoms and felt normal. I think that is a good sign!! Good luck in weighing your options and choosing the option that your heart tells you is best for you. ❤
My doc is recommending radaation ... and I've been apprehensive ... could you share some of your Mom's experiences going through that (I agree chemo was not her best course)
Chef AJ... I've been following you religiously for years now, all the way from Ghana🇬🇭... and you have greatly impacted my life. This is the first time I'm leaving a message under your videos. I will be fervently praying for you. Warm hugs. You're a kind soul and we love you . Never forget that
We your community, UA-cam family, are wrapping our arms around you. Nothing but love towards you. Transparent is the most wonderful thing you can be because many can help support you.
I wish I could give you the biggest hug. You have changed my life and I’m forever grateful to you for that. It breaks my heart that you had to worry about people being mean to you over this. Sending love and prayers for miraculous healing. ❤️ 🙏🏻
Chef AJ, you are not dying. Never give up. Your positivism, your humor, and happy self will take you in a journey to remission. Blessings. My love, blessings and support to you. Thank you for being you! 🤗
Cancer hits anyone no matter what you eat or do. I agree with your healthy life still. My Dad passed at 45 with brain cancer, I was 7 years old. My oldest brother passed at 67 with Colon cancer. My Mom passed at 68 and my other brother passed at 65. My goal as a teenager was to out live my birth family. I am the youngest of us 3 kids. At the age of 70, I have bet the odds. Very sad that my birth family have all passed. My new goal is to hit 100 and be healthy, strong, and very movable. Keep moving strong. Laugh everyday and enjoy your life.
Thank you for trusting us with your cancer journey and allowing us to hold you in our thoughts and prayers. Sending love and strength to you dear AJ. ♥
Dear Chef AJ, I have watched you literally transform the lives of many here in this space ❤ I’m sending you hugs and flowers 🌺 🌺🌺🌺 and applaud your courage to share such a deeply personal and moving experience. It’s totally understandable in this public space that you would have the hesitation and anxiety because everyone suddenly becomes your therapist and oncologist and it becomes overwhelming. Your emotional wellbeing and spiritual wellbeing are of utmost importance and you don’t owe us all your personal details. We are thankful for all your decisions and pray for God’s grace and mercy to be in the midst of it all. You can do this and you are a constant testimony to His goodness ❤ much love and virtual support to you and your husband 🙏🏾🌺🙏🏾🌺🙏🏾🌺
Hi Chef AJ, I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. This is a very scary time for you. It was for me, when I was diagnosed last year at the age of 40 with stage 3B ovarian cancer (partly BRCA partly asbestos exposure and trauma were my likely triggers). Other than surgery, I treated it holistically and changed my diet almost to WFPB. I’m cancer free now since the last 6 months. I have to say, having cancer made me want to live again. My trauma/C-PTSD was so bad that I didn’t want to live anymore, but actually being confronted with the likelihood of dying switched something in me and I made the decision to live, to take responsibility for my health and I feel now the best I’ve ever felt. I haven’t listened to all of your video yet; have to go to sleep, it’s late over here in Germany. I wish you all the wisdom to make the right decisions for YOU and the peace that you need to feel calm, and all the support that you need that I’m sure your family and this community will give to you. I could write a whole lot more, but it’s already a lot to read. Sending a big hug 🤗 Lena
Thanks Michelle, I’m not amazing, just a normal girl who’s learning a lot and fortunately has a great support system in the form of my amazing husband and a couple of friends who are 100% behind my decisions. I have my bad days, trust me, but now I have a purpose and am working on something to help other people diagnosed with cancer.
Ohhhhhh AJ nooooo….. you listen to me!!! Don’t you DARE let any negativity in!!! Hard stop! You lean on us! Lean on your people!! You have no space & no time for ANY of that nonsense. Keep those thoughts positive!! You CAN!! Believe nothing else. We are here! Always! There is always love !!! Hang in there ❤❤❤
So sorry to learn about your cancer. My late wife of 40 years, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at age 60. She was a non-smoker and ate a plant-based diet for many years. Her mother, however, was a heavy smoker, and she grew up exposed to second hand smoke. I hope that you recover fully from this setback ❤️
@22:01 👉Tuesday, December 17th at 8:30 AM Pacific Time❤️ OK! Chef AJ, you asked everyone to pray for you exactly at that time. So to everyone seeing this, let's do that.🙌 Chef AJ has been supporting everyone through her channel, so now let's support her back and do as she requests.🎉 Chef AJ, with hundreds, if not thousands of people around the world supporting you, we sincerely believe you will get through this.🌈✨Accept all our support and prayers from various faiths around the World🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🌎🌍🌏✨
I had been a vegan for 10 years and I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and the doctor said you need to start eating meat again which I did because he said I didn't get enough protein and that's why I you know got osteoporosis but I'd like to hear your take on that if possible. I know you're busy and right now you're dealing with a lot of tough stuff. So when you can text me or email or whatever. Let me know what you think. I wouldn't mind going back on a vegan plan but I'm not sure how to do that now. Anyway, I'll be praying for you on the 17th + I ask the Lord to give me the presence of mine to pray for you at other times as well 🥰
P.S. This video is therapy for anyone. You are providing that through your truthfulness and grief live. We can all relate in our own personal way. Not too many people would be vulnerable enough to do this. There is a purpose in this video. You are helping people without realizing it. Again, thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing, Chef AJ. As a 35+ year vegan, my own recent diagnosis came as quite a shock. I'm wishing you the most vibrant health always.
I have mostly been vegan for 33 years after my first breast cancer diagnosis and was recently diagnosed the second time in the other breast. I asked the Lord why since my diet and other health modalities fit into the definition of a healthy lifestyle. The answer I received was dis - ease, which is basically stress. Am asking the Lord to help me with that. Cancer can definitely be multi-faceted in its causes!
@@jennymccrary1840 I am certain that stress has also played a huge role in the development of my cancer. Know that we'll both be working on overcoming the stresses in our lives. Many blessings to you.
Oh AJ, I’m so sorry about the fear of judgment. As a nurse of 34 years, a mama, a daughter, a friend, a sister I know illness isn’t always preventable and blame helps no one. Blame can divide people and sometimes it is a subconscious mechanism to shield ourselves from the emotional pain of bearing witness to friends and loved ones who are sick. In sickness and health we need to stand by each other. Keep on keeping on and inspiring us to all take good care of ourselves !
Hey, Mary here!!! I am a 2x cancer survivor, almost 15 years. I never asked why me. The time is now!!! Chef AJ, I love you so much for saying that!!!💚I have some fierce JOB anxiety for health reasons, on FMLA for next 3 months for chronic, sometimes severe pain, go back at end of FEB and anxiety is off the charts. If I worry this 3 mo. I will only make myself sick. I lost the love of my fam(sisters) when actively going through my cancers. That is a them problem, not a me problem!!! Life goes on, I made it through with my ride or die and his sister. I love them more for protecting me, caring about my well being while I am in their circle. May there be calm where there is chaos, light where there is darkness, may our hearts be filled with love! Be Well!!💚💜🙏🫁💯👏🌱🍀⏳I was going to tell you a time-traveling joke, but you did not like it!!🤣
Childhood cancer survivor here. I was diagnosed at 9 months with neuroblastoma. What did I do wrong? NOTHING!! I asnt even on solid foods yet. it makes me sad that you were stigmatized like this and could not tell us your diagnosis until now. I had 104 chemo treatments from 9 months old until I was 3 years old. Im going to turn 54 years old soon so the chemo was definitely worth it. I owe my life to chemo and prayer. I know you will overcome this diagnosis.
This makes me very hopeful for my 17yo niece who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at age 11. She's been back and forth with it for years (it was well managed and she went into remission at one point) and currently receiving chemo treatment. Thank you for sharing
Hi! I’m sending healing thoughts and prayers to you. You inspire people and I love watching your channel and listening to your show. The actor from Spartacus said during his cancer treatment to be here and be now. Live life to its fullest and enjoy yourself and your family. You do what you need to do. My mom was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer at 90, she is doing well, but we try to just enjoy her while she is here with us. She is now 91. They say cancer won’t get kill her, her age will. So she says to enjoy life and do what makes you happy and laugh. After all laughter is the best medicine. ❤🙏
Hi Chef AJ! I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I wish you all the best in this journey. I’m Lindsay. I’m 62 years old and I have been vegan for 12 years and I eat quite cleanly. I went to True North Health in 2014, where I heard about you for the first time, and I have followed your work since then. In mid-March of this year, while travelling, I found out that I had uterine cancer. I came back to Toronto and had 6 cancer treatments which finished in mid-September - no more cancer. A couple of weeks ago, I had a full Hysterectomy. I am recovering from everything and hope to travel again, in the future. I hope that, whatever you decide to do (I haven’t watched the video as yet), it goes smoothly and easy for you.❤. My husband and family all said that I was the healthiest-looking sick person they knew. I hope that the same goes for you.❤
Awww, AJ, bless your heart!💗 You’re a miracle … even now you are helping us, teaching us, reminding us to be present, grateful, and even joyous in spite of everything we go through. You’ve been through so much and yet you THRIVE. I admire and love you SO MUCH. You are not alone … we are all with you!!🙏🏻💗
I thank you SO much for such a personal story about this scary topic. I'm almost 72. You have given me much food for thought about what I would do in your shoes. What would scare me the most is the absolutely impersonal attitudes of "health professionals". You mentioned one Doctor who so abrupt with your situation. I really think that, at this point, I would choose to "decline" conventional treastments, but as they say :never say never". Again, thank you for sharing such an emotional journey.......my prayers are with you!
Sending you a huge hug and a tremendous amount of positive thoughts! Cancer doesn't care who you are or what you eat. My wife is a stage 4 colon cancer survivor. Keep positive! We are all here for you. 🙏💕🙏
You are one of the kindest, sweetest people. You are someone I have always wished I knew in real life. I am so very sorry you are facing this. Sending you love and prayers for healing. ❤
You just don't know how kind and sympathetic to your audience and fans you are being. No one here gets out alive. You are not alone, and guess what, you make me feel like I am not alone either. I have not been diagnosed with cancer but I share in your diagnosis and we all do, and when our time for hardship comes, we will be that much more prepared. We have gone through it before, through A.J. Thank you for caring about us all.
CHEF AJ, I know what a wonderful person you are, I wish you all the best, I had cancer 4 years ago and took it as an opportunity to love myself more, I am still here loving myself and my life. All my heart goes out to you. Susan
Well said and same here, and i'm sure across the board. Though most of us have never met her personally, she has been our wonderful, caring, friend for so many years. I lost religion when I lost my son, so I'm really not into prayer, but still wish to send warm, loving, healing thoughts her way in this precarious and unpredictable journey we call life.
I never even heard of WFPB until I was fortunate enough to stumble upon one of your videos, about 2 years ago. It changed my life. Now I am committed to it and doing well. You have touched so many people and are so kind and authentic. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sending big hugs
Sending healing thoughts, Chef AJ, and focusing on your complete recovery 🌟. Thank you for being so open about your journey-you have all my respect and admiration. You are a true warrior. You’ve got this! I completely agree with you: the mental health aspect is crucial. And don’t forget about sleep-never underestimate its importance. Sending love your way ♥
I wish you the very best. I always get "snappy" in whole food groups when the subject comes up and people get down right mean about this subject. I collect data for cancer research, also volunteer with various cancer programs. You are a human who is living her best live in the healthiest way possible. You need support and love, not judgement. Even living this lifestyle, you don't always have control over your environment and sometimes regardless what you do, you still get ill. Living so healthy, you will be ahead in your treatment. Sending you virtual hugs ❤️ you are still an inspiration, this is your journey , you travel it how it is best for you. Please keep us up dated . If laughter is how you want to absorb what you are going thru and how you want to cope is your choice. Anybody that doesn't support you and try to uplift you in your journey, doesn't deserve you given them one minute of your thoughts, your focus needs to be on you. You sound stressed and clearly still processing, take care of you right now. You are not responsible for the rest of the WFPBNO community. ❤️🤗
Doing this Podcast shows how incredibly brave you are to share such a private journey with your listeners! You wear your strength and vulnerability on your sleeve. Thank you for pointing out to everyone to reevaluate our lives and stay in the moment and enjoy it and all the little things in our everyday lives! Prayers for you every day that you kick this cancer in the A… big time and are with us for many, many more years❣️
Hi chef AJ love you & your loving spirit♥️♥️♥️ I was a nurse and tired of sick care & got a health coach certification to adventure into preventative care… as soon as I finished the health coach program, I was diagnosed with breast cancer! Being eating mostly plant base vegan diet for 20+ years, I was shocked and my enthusiasm about promoting plant based diet was shattered with the cancer diagnosis… I’m well now but totally felt your pain & hesitation to share this unfortunate news! I wish you all the best and pray that you will be healed and happy with whatever happens tomorrow ♥️♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Oh Chef AJ, my heart aches for you. I empathize with you. I have endometrial cancer. I just had a CT scan and MRI, waiting for results regarding metastasis. My Pastor calls it the little c. The big C is Christ who can give us peace. In 2018 I had proton radiation to my eye for melanoma, and have now lost my eyesight in my left eye. My primary doctor is Dr. McDougall’s son, Craig. I have times where I break down and cry, but for the most part, I have peace from Christ. I will be praying for you daily.
Hi, I just finished proton radiation for choroidal melanoma. I will probably lose my vision in that eye. I’m getting scanned for Mets in January. 6 years WPB.
Chef AJ, I got a cancer (choroidal melanoma) in the back of my eye. I recently got proton therapy, now to wait. Checking for Mets in January. We love you, choose the treatment that feels good in your gut, ignore what others say if it’s not positive or doesn’t resonate. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sorry, Chef AJ. You are a beacon of light to this darkened world. I hope that you know deep within that you have helped countless individuals around the globe with their struggles and diseases. None of us know how long we have left to tread this earth but know that your cancer doesn’t have to be a death sentence awaiting-round the corner. Steve Jobs lived decades with his slow progressing cancer and he always believed he extended his life by eating plant based as you already do. With God in mind, you may overcome or even live with it. His does work miracles and I will pray deeply for you 🙏
Praying for you Chef AJ. I was diagnosed in July 2022 with breast cancer at the age of 56. I know what you are feeling. My dad had lung cancer. He was a smoker and continued to spoke after his diagnosis. He was diagnosed at Stage 3. He had chemo and radiation and had 6 good years after that. I feel he would had lived longer had he not continued to smoke. I will be praying for you. You can beat this!❤️💪🌷
I'm with you Chef AJ. I admire your courage and the way you comport yourself; you're an inspiration. I'm standing with you as a vegan, as a fan, and as a friend.
Every day is a gift. Thanks so much for sharing and for letting us be a part of your process. Doug always mentions that diet is important but genetics and exposure to environmental factors really play a big part. I lost my grandfather and then my mother to a congenital heart disorder that I just found out I may share. Keep celebrating life and letting us love you. I’ll be sending positive thoughts your way and especially on the 17.✌️❤️✌️🌈
It's very generous of you to share this news. Your work has saved so many, and this will probably result in many more getting an earlier diagnosis. Thanks so much for everything you do.
You will be in my prayers. You are a delightful and loving person. I am very sorry for all you are going through. My Mom had cancer 4 times and did not die from cancer. She was a very heavy smoker. I think your diet is helping you tremendously! PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOU a day at a time. You are loved!
Dear AJ, Charles, Bailey, friends & Co workers, I sympathise, commiserate & support you with my thoughts & prayers. There is no lifestyle, mindset or magic formula that makes our human body last forever or avoid illnesses. That's what makes our time precious . I first found your UA-cam channel at the beginning of the Pandemic, when everything was crazy & scary. Watching you daily shows & the older programs kept me focused, sane, motivated, & nourished in mind & body. Wishing you all comfort, peace, & moral support during this time.
Denise, I’m so happy that you included Bailey in your message. She is obviously so integral in AJ’s life and AJ is concurrently worried about Bailey’s health, which has taken a downturn. My prayers that both AJ and Bailey receive His grace and strength to be there for each other. 🙏❤️🙏
So, so sorry about this news! You are a strong woman and will get through this! My dad had colon & lung cancer and lived 30 years after. He didn’t die from the cancers. My mom passed away about 9 months before him and he died of a broken heart. He didn’t have any chemo and that was his chose. Stay strong! We’re all praying for you!!! 🙏😘
Just said the Bahai LONG HEALING PRAYER for you! Thank you for sharing your journey with us with such sincerity and courage, you are a guide to many 💗💗
AJ as you know I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer almost 3 years ago. You were so kind and supportive to me. I do believe that God used the treatments to cure me. I will be praying for you. I’m so glad to know what you are going through as hard as it is.
AJ, I am honored to walk with you as your integrative NP. You ARE healing one day at a time and I love how you are spreading love and goodness along this adventure. You are a gem. Have fun in Disneyland blowin it up!
AJ. Thank you for being so transparent and vulnerable with us that love you, your channel, and the goodness that you bring to the world. We all need more bright lights like you! I switched to WFPB eating 6 years ago, and you and other WFPB channels have given me so much hope and understanding of all sorts of things this life offers. I did reverse some ailments that were starting to become chronic, lost a ton of weight, and felt more energized to do the things I've wanted to. I am going on 68. I now backpack and am doing sections of Oregons PCT trail. I lift weights, garden, go on adventures w family and friends, and cook wholesome foods for my family. I realized some time ago that if I didn't start doing the things I wanted, I might never have the chance since tomorrow is not promised. I love your incredibly supportive guest today, and I am so happy that you have all these people in your life, to uplift you, and to give you what you need in this season of your life. We will all pass through these seasons eventually, and my hope is that I am able to be as open, accepting, and seeing the silver linings that are still there, as you are. Hope, hugs, and prayers for you and Charles!
I once heard Anita Moorjani, a cancer survivor, say that no medical doctor has the right to say when you’re going to die after having diagnosed you with cancer. If that happens you should see another more empathic doctor. It is through pain and illness that our body tells us what emotional burdens we must get rid of. Maybe it’s time for you to listen to your true self, to let it out, to be compassionate with yourself. I’ve recently taken a course on how to heal the childhood wounds and it has been so revealing! It has shown me what emotions are behind being a controller, and an anxious and phobic person and have learned how to deal with those emotions wisely. Wish you well and soon recovery! 🙏🏻. Greetings from Mexico.
Chef AJ, you are such a bright, authentic Light in the plant-based community and beyond. Thank you for sharing your diagnosis. Being PB is not a guarantee of never getting an illness, as much as we would like it to be. But it allows us to live our healthiest life, no matter what, even within an illness. I'm praying for your health and for your peace of mind. Gentle hugs to you and Charles. ❤
Hi Chef AJ, Love your karma and cheery energy. As a 74 yr old guy, I hope you can 'let your thoughts be clear, and then vanish like clouds drifting thru the sky and disappearing over mountains'. This is good advice from and for an anxious type that doesn't need each thought triggering another and then another, etc. Hope that makes sense. Also, consciously thanking some minor things can accumulate some grateful feelings. These can balance out our thoughts (internal dialogue stuff). Also, I've done some herbal supplements sometimes for pain and/or anxiety that have helped me avoid prescription meds. Kratom has been one of those. And luckily, some new age types of stuff such as visiting monasteries has helped me enjoy the senior decades. Best regards and wishes, Gil.
You are in my prayers during this season of life. I am an ovarian cancer survivor -2008. Raw foods helped my healing. I have sometimes rebelled since, but listen to podcasts like yours when I need motivation to do better. Thank you for sharing your life with us…all of it! God Bless!
@@KaylynBartlett send me your email address and I’ll send you my “story.” Essentially, I had surgery to remove the cancerous tumor and protocol then was 12 weeks of 3 kinds of chemo. Instead of chemo, I followed Kris Carr’s CSC protocol…juicing and raw foods. And Shaklee supplements (LOTS) I had my blood tested for tumor markers every week for awhile, then monthly, etc.
Today is Tuesday, Dec 17, 2024… sending love and prayers to Chef AJ as she undergoes her biopsy surgery today. God bless the hands of your surgeon and medical team, and give you peace. You got this, girl!! 🙏❤️🥰
We love you Chef AJ. To be able to discuss this openly takes immense courage and strength. You have helped so many people and now it is time to accept help from others.
After I was diagnosed with rare life-threatening autoimmune disorder, I found this small medal I keep on my purse for encouragement. " They said to her 'you cannot withstand the storm.' She said 'I am the storm.' I feel you have li 1:14:16 ved your life like you are the storm. I've been so inspired. You are a huge gift to humanity, as well as the planet. I will pray for you, give you over to God. Buried feelings never die. I'm grateful that you opened up, that you invited us to share your journey.
Oh my heart. It hurts for you. I’m glad you shared this with us. We are all vulnerable no matter how we eat. There is no perfection, but I do have the tendency to think that eating a WFPBNO diet will save me from all ailments. The older I get the more I realize that it’s about living one’s best life and quality of life while we’re here. I wish you all the best and most of all a speedy recovery. Thank you for all your contributions to this community. You’re an inspiration.
I met you at Keuka College and can’t remember a retreat where I laughed so hard! Thank you for being straight with your followers, mostly so we can lift you up in prayer and virtual hugs. You are one amazing lady!!
I asked 6 months ago if you were okay, that you looked different to me, and you responded very angrily and aggressive to me. I wasn't being mean or rude, I was asking out of total love. Now you've shared this it makes sense. I'm sad this is the case for you. My heart and prayers are going up for you! Had you not been eating such a healthy diet some other nasty disease may have taken you from the world ages ago and you wouldn't have had the impact for eating a healthy vegan diet as you have. So I praise God that we've had you as a driving force. God willing He answers our prayers and we will have you for many, many more years! God speed AJ! 💞
She's done the same thing to me more than once. I think some of us just rub her the wrong way for some reason. In any case, I wish her all the best and hope she heals completely. Her strict "no oils" including things like nuts and avocados did not work well for me, and I've thought more than once that she herself did not look healthy. However, she has done so much for so many, and I've bought all her books and recipes. She is an amazing person, and I pray for her presence in the community for many more years!

It’s difficult to give it a thumbs up because of the tragedy though.
Beautiful story! Very inspirational
Oh my, that's crazy!!! What a beautiful and inspiring story ❤️

Worse chance for recovery with a whole food vegan diet because red fatty meat is human's natural diet.
Dearest AJ, I am so glad you reached out to us (your supporters & admirers) in such honesty and love. You are not hurting “the cause” of plant-based eating at ALL. ❤
Thanks for sharing your story!

Hi Chef AJ,
I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
Sending a big hug 🤗

Thank you so much for sharing, Chef AJ. As a 35+ year vegan, my own recent diagnosis came as quite a shock. I'm wishing you the most vibrant health always.
I have mostly been vegan for 33 years after my first breast cancer diagnosis and was recently diagnosed the second time in the other breast.

You are not alone … we are all with you!!🙏🏻💗
Yes 🙏💕
2 time cancer survivor here. Stay strong and I wish you the very best! I am an atheist also
You are one of the kindest, sweetest people.
Susan
My heart is expanding with a compassion that wants to reach through the the laptop screen and wrap you in a big warm hug.
Whats wfpb?

Whole Food Plant Based...it's a lifestyle of eating only plant foods...no animal products whatsoever.
@ gotcha, cheers
Prayers for you every day that you kick this cancer in the A… big time and are with us for many, many more years❣️
Hi chef AJ love you & your loving spirit♥️♥️♥️
I was a nurse and tired of sick care & got a health coach certification to adventure into preventative care… as soon as I finished the health coach program, I was diagnosed with breast cancer!
Little c and big C! I love this and am borrowing it! God bless and keep you❤
Me too! ❤

Letting your fans know this is good . Now you have many believers praying for your recovery.❤
Hugs to you AJ! My husband is a 20 year cancer survivor, there’s always hope. Hugs to Charles too, I know how hard this is ❤
You will be in my prayers. You are a delightful and loving person. I am very sorry for all you are going through. My Mom had cancer 4 times and did not die from cancer. She was a very heavy smoker. I think your diet is helping you tremendously! PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOU a day at a time. You are loved!
Dear AJ, Charles, Bailey, friends & Co workers,
I sympathise, commiserate & support you with my thoughts & prayers.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us with such sincerity and courage, you are a guide to many 💗💗
Anyone who doesn't support you doesn't deserve your attention. They are haters.
Thank YOU!! You're the best!♥️
I am so sorry to hear your news. I am a long time follower. I am praying for you.
Prayers for a supernatural healing…
You will be a conqueror…
32 years a breast cancer conqueror…❤️🤗🙏
Yes, that was shocking for a doctor to do that.
Would appreciate hearing what course you took, I could do use something like that!
Love Louis Hay’s books too!
I am interested as well.
Me too.
Hi Chef AJ,
Love your karma and cheery energy.
Don’t forget Chris beat cancer, AJ, he has helped so many beat cancer!
You are in my prayers during this season of life. I am an ovarian cancer survivor -2008. Raw foods helped my healing. I have sometimes rebelled since, but listen to podcasts like yours when I need motivation to do better. Thank you for sharing your life with us…all of it! God Bless!
High raw or all raw? What do you eat?
Ditto. Sending good vibes love and prayers
I am so sorry to hear this AJ, you're an example and heroine to me for so many years. Sending prayers to you and family.
We love you Chef AJ. To be able to discuss this openly takes immense courage and strength. You have helped so many people and now it is time to accept help from others.
Chef AJ-I am in such shock over finding this out just now! My heartfelt prayers are with you!!
Hey, Chef AJ. I'm praying for your healing. Thank you for your transparency.
Chef AJ ❤❤❤❤❤❤ You are the giant of all plant based leaders. We LOVE you. Your transparency is HEAVEN!!! And HEALING!!!
Prayers. You have been such a blessing to so many of us. We love you.. My desire is that you feel all the love our attitudes are sending to you.
Yeah i saw that too... 😢
Rick Warren is AWESOME!!!!!!
@@sunflower2594you are so kind still after she treated you angrily.
Praying for you Chef AJ. Thank you for your transparency and all you have done throughout your life to help both 2 and 4 legged animals.
