Geoff is really trying though, 🙄. Great points made but like we've been saying for years they need a standard of criteria that is unbiased though I doubt he would ever do that.
All they need to do is sit down, bang out a consistent categoric list, and allow fan made votes to determine who belongs in what categories, not vote by committee members who may have games that they want to promote. You shouldn't be allowed to vote your own product into something that you are also making direct decisions about when it comes down to awards.

Exactly. Plus it doesn't work out well retroactively. Now most people can see the favoritism on display.
Geoff Keighly is landing himself in hot water this year.
He doesn't seem to think that he is, which is the worst part. The moment someone else makes an alternative that is even half way competent, he's done.
If he cares about a paycheck rather than the passion for the real gamers, then it's Game Over for him.
