Greetings. The band is Chilean, the lyrics belong to the Chilean poet who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, the video was filmed in the ruins of Machupichu - Peru.

Year 1981. The soundtrack was recorded in Pathê Marconi studios , Paris , France . The video was performed in the same year in the Machu Picchu ruins,months later.

@@bintube5269lo es. Es considerado patrimonio de la humanidad y está restringido para este tipo de cosas. Es verdad. Los Jaivas hasta la actualidad han sido la única banda en el mundo autorizada para tocar en ese lugar. Un dato curioso es que tuvieron que transportar el piano hasta ahí en helicóptero, pues es un lugar de muy difícil acceso. Saludos!

La grabacion fue hecha en Machu Pichu (Peru) tambien grabaron discos en Rusia y otros paises. Felicitaciones. Hay videos nuevos y ellos tambien tienen pagina web propias.🎉🇨🇱

Tienes una confusión ... La "dictadura" no tiene que ver con Los Jaivas ... vivieron, por voluntad propia, 7 - 8 años fuera de Chile ... volvieron en plena dictadura (1980), desde Chile fueron a Machu Pichu, volvieron y dieron varios conciertos por todo Chile .. Los Jaivas nunca se metieron en política

Los Jaivas is the name of this chilean band and the musisc is not from asia, is a mixture of andean music and pregressive rock. The location is in Machu picchu in Perû the andeas range of Perù, not Portugal or Asia. The" electronic piano " is the famous synthesizer from 70^s called Mini Moog. The y used andean wind instrument
I have never heard of Andean music before 🤔 I like the look of this Machu Picchu area, I feel someone has probably filmed a movie scene there at some point. They should bring back the Mini Moog I think in todays music 😄 And some wind instruments too 🥳
A chilean tv channel ( Channel 13) filmed 6 videos about 6 songs in Machu Picchu . Los Jaivas composed those 6 songs based on a poem called " Alturas de Machu Picchu "wrote by Pablo Neruda, winner of a Literature Nobel Prize..
