Actually i think i get it-
In 2012 we had a olivias tree house set, and I think that this is that same house but that it changed so much during those 10 years.
Over those 10 years they became closer and closer friends, treehouse became bigger. This can represent the fact that "everything is different while its still the same as it used to be". We had 5 girls dreaming of being singer, cooking chef, artist,... and they are still that...
I could be wrong and I probably am tho :'D
Anyways even if im correct i think that this should have had more easter eggs at least more than... zero.
That Olivia's tree house was one of my first Friends sets. I loved it so much. But I don't think it was representative of the theme as a whole. Over the years we have gotten way more houses, electric vehicles and pet centers than tree houses.
But I like your reasoning. It gives the house a bit more meaning. Would have loved for LEGO to turn that into a small comic in the front or back of the instructions.
The other Mia face has like an emotion of "Help! Im in an uncomfortable position "🤔💜💖

So I was excited about this set until I saw your review and I agree with you 100%. It actually is very disappointing for our 10yr anniversary for LEGO Friends. Why couldn’t we get something like assembly square or Ninjago gardens, something more special and with the 5 girls and new characters? I think people would happily pay more if they made it more special and really did put more effort into it. Why didn’t we get a book showing all the sets a of LEGO Friends and a teaser of what’s to come. I don’t know 🤷♀️
I still like the set, just not in love with it now and I’m a HUGE LEGO Friends fan.
I guess we can at least commiserate together.
I wish they included a sticker in the set like they did in Andreas house because there were references to Livi or with all the LEGO friends girls and the two boys so it’s kinda meh
Me too, I was disappointed. They could've at least be respectful to fans including newcomers alike...
my first ever lego set was Olivia's tree house (I was like 6 when I got it haha) I remember loving it.. such a disappointment that this was celebrating 10 years of its existence. wished it was something more special, like having the 5 friends instead of just 2 of them

I think Emma has a new hair piece, and the skin is the same.
She has a new hairpiece in one set, and the same in another, but im fairly sure her skin is the same. I doubt they would do another drastic reboot this close to the last one.
Personally, I very much enjoy the look of this set, like the alternate faces and the exterior, but the interior disappoints me. I agree that this isn’t a good set to represent 10 years of friendship, there’s not enough references included, like zero! They put savannah in the logo but she just appeared last year in like 2 sets and 1 episode! Literally any other character would have been a better fit or even better all 5 friends! Not a single reference to the 5 girls which are crucial to the series and I think Andrea’s house has better references! Very much disappointed in this aspect

In my humble opinion they should have included all 5 girls at the very least. Like what’s a friendship tree house without all the friends. The “Easter eggs” sucked and don’t even get me started on the QR code. It’s a beautiful set and I think it’s one of the coolest Lego has every made, BUT it is not a good anniversary set. My very first Lego set was a Lego Friends set it was the reason I bought Lego for years.

Maybe... just maybe most of the 'celebration' for the 10 years of lego friends mainly is in summer like the Harry Potter theme? And this tree house is just a start to it? Because I will really like to see a wave with all sets dedicated to 10 years of Lego friends because one set is just disrespectful to lego friends as most of the themes anniversary has a whole wave of sets dor the anniversary of the theme.

So cool you got it from Lego!!! Verry special packaging!!! I love that we are finaly getting other faces!!! I was also very surprised that this is the 10 year set... I like the apartments better, only the price is less suitable for that. And actually more something that all girls are in and indeed with references to the past 10 years.Just something more special.... ? 😉

Maybe the 10 years of friendship is something they're going to put on all the sets released in 2022? I can't place any examples but I have some déjà vu that other toy companies have done stuff like that for their anniversary years as well. Oh, I think Barbie did it for their 60 years maybe? Something like that.
The sign isn't on any of the other packaging pictures we have gotten (it is on this one), so I don't think this is the case.

It's kinda meh, but at list Lego is acknowledging the anniversary. I also wonder why Savannah is on that 10 years logo. Maybe she's a major character in the show, idk.

There is nothing here "celebrating" 10 years. It's just "hey here is a tree house, did we mention it's been 10 years?".
I won’t be buying this one, even though the Friends line is what got us into LEGO as AFOLs in 2012. A 10-year celebration set should include all of the original characters, imo. Sure, add 2 or 3 new ones, that’s fine, but the girls who began the theme should all be there. I like the different heads for different emotions, love that feature. I don’t care for the treehouse build, at all. Doesn’t feel like it includes enough of the first wonderful years of Friends, not to me. It’s like we made a hard left turn into the woke future, and just trampled what came before. That’s fine for future sets, but not a 10 Year Celebration of all that made this theme so very special. I wish LEGO would sell mini doll packs, with all sorts of faces, hair pieces, & clothing changes, boy, I would whip out the credit card for that!

I think LEGO should make updated version of friendship house having all of the Lego friends (including Male characters)
I've waited over 9 years to see the outcome of the 10-year anniversary of the theme, and this is all we get? I knew this is going to happen. They could've at least put the 5 main characters in this set and also included male characters as well equally. Idk if another summer set would feature them all in one celebratory set.
Compared to Ninjago's City Gardens set, it was well designed and composed of around 5,000+ pieces and get tons of love and praise. This set is OK in my opinion, but it could have been more celebratory by having more than one set getting the 10-year banner.
From what I've observed, toys related to boys, get more love and praise than girls. It just truly saddens me. Reality does feel often disappointing and is immeasurable, to the point my day is now ruined.
Also, the perks to this is I guess LEGO wanted to be more open by marketing LEGO Friends to the opposite gender.
I was also kinda surprised about the fact that you have a Discord server. I don't primarily use Discord due to it being complicated for me to use it...

@@Brickomotion It's fine. We can still find ways to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. Maybe like create build challenges like ellieV does or custom mini-dolls, make fan art, rewatch the episodes, or listen to the songs. Mine is just basically make memes about LEGO Friends...

I see what you mean about it not really celebrating the 10 year anniversary of LEGO friends. I wish it had something to represent each year of lego friends . It would be cool if they had special characters that represented the anniversary too.
I think it’s the representation of 10 years of friends bd the first friends set made was the treehouse
The first wave of sets did include a tree house, but it also included many other things. So I don't see why the tree house would be more important or representative than, for example, a house.
I still think theywill release true 10 years sets in march. The QR code is probbaly not active yet

I’m so to rant about what I’m going to say. I was 4 when lego friends came out so I remember almost every set that has come out. When I saw this i was kinda disgusted I mean it’s a cool set but it has nothing to do with the 10 year anniversary of lego friends. I was expecting to see the old girls in a recreation of one of the first sets like Olivia’s house. I saw 2 references but they were kinda pathetic a cake and a day bed. Andreas house had more references like the old girls and livi. I love lego but right now I’m so disappointed. I’m not even tempted to buy it because there is no point at the end of the day it’s just a another set that’s expensive. I would prefer to spend a bit more and buy old lego friend sets off eBay instead of buying that. Would do u think???
I like Lego Friends, I have no opinion of Ninjago. But this compares very badly to the Ninjago 10 years anniversary set, Ninjago City Gardens - that is my only Ninjago set and the best Lego set I have. This is just another set and there is nothing special about the book or the set.
