- This is one of my top go-to pottery tools. Certainly not my invention, and perhaps you already have seen or use such a tool. Super simple, and useful. If you own a hacksaw, this is nearly a free tool. If you don't have an old hacksaw blade, now is the time to buy one.
Please subscribe and leave me a comment. I want to know if you have made something similar.
Love your channel. So many great ideas, and am grateful you show your mistakes as well. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing 👍😀
Do you find the torch heating to bend takes the tool-steel hardness out of it?
No I don't. I occasionally run them across a grinding wheel to re sharpen them, but not often. They work surprisingly well even when dull. It's not as critical to have a razors edge as you might suspect.
@@JustinsMakery I tinker with black smithing and tool making and I’ve always been thought to re-temper after heating, but for clay tools….totally makes sense.
On another note-I made a bottom setting tool for my wife from PVC, but we just discovered your adjustable version and she’s going to order it!
Clever use of a hacksaw blade, subscribed! If you want more subs, feel free to embed your video on our homemade tools forum; looks like you're one of us :-)
Thanks!
Can i get an email for you so i can send you a request please?
