It seems really clear that all these videos have the GrandStage set to the default velocity, curve number 4. Even with the dynamics knob engaged, you get a MUCH better response from curve number 9, which responds more like a piano than any of the others.
Ben Allen hey ben, Ive been watching your keyboard reviews lately and I think its one of the best and informative reviews so far. May I know which brand do you prefer between the korg and nord. And may i know your favorite brand when it comes to stage piano. I am really torn between the nord and korg coz both of them sounds really fantastic especially on the piano department. However, I kind of feel like korg has a better resolution and has some hifi thing going on with their piano samples. The only thing that bothers me with the korgs is that their piano samples tend to sound plunky. I suspect it is due to an issue on decay which makes it sound unnatural and plasticky. Also i find that their pianos lack in natural sustain. Can you confirm my findings? If so, then can velocity adjustment compensate for that issue? Thanks. Im really looking forward for your reply.
