The Love of God is a wonderful hymn that reminds us that we can never measure his love! I am loving the reminders that He is coming again. It could be today!!

My parents Barb and Larry just sold their house and have 40 days to find a different one. They would appreciate prayers. Prayers for the Lord to give them a plain path on a new home. Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Thank you for this lesson. I sang Love Is The More Excellent Way by Babbie Mason as a solo on Sunday. Based on 1st Corinthians 13:4-8. It's so easy to love someone, unless they mistreat you. Or do evil against you or others. I'm working on that one! And asking the Lord to help me practice patience, love and tolerance! I want to do right in the eyes of the Lord!
Amen, Preacher. 1+1+1=1 God. Oh how this troubles many, but the third part of our Godhead will help us to understand and believe it more and more (John 14). Oh how matchless is The Love of God towards us, may He help us to grow more and more in it each day we live here. Until that day we veiw The Love of God in sight..... Thank you Preacher, a Wonderful lesson....Keep up your labour of love ❤️....
Great study, Dr. Bagwell! We see the first and second member of the Trinity in verse 11. Paul is still eager to see the believers at Thessalonica. "Direct" means to "make our path straight or smooth". Paul tells them to love one another and all men. Paul says to love one another more deeply, then others and learn to love as Paul and other believers have loved them. "Stablish"/στηρίζω/stērizō/to be firm, to stand. "Unblameable" means "without any fault". No one can throw mud at you and make it stick. When the Lord comes again, we believers are going to be asked to give an account for the way we have lived. "Coming"/παρουσία/parousia. "With"/μετά/meta/among. "Saints" could refer to angels or to those people who are saved, born again by the blood of Jesus. "Direct" is a singular verb. God the Father, God the Son with a singular verb. We do not worship two gods, but one God who expresses Himself in a triune fashion as 3 persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Verse 11 & 12 show the Trinity. The Father, the Son and the Lord (Holy Ghost). The Holy Ghost is God as well. This is a unique time where the Trinity is involved in prayer. 1 Thessalonians is one of the earliest epistles of the New Testament. Being that early, that is proof that early on (A.D. 52) that God the Father and God the Son are equal. See Phil. 2. Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Mark had no problem recognizing Jesus as God. This is a "wish" prayer. This is a prayer that expresses ones wishes. There is a mood in the Greek language called the optative verb. This is when a verb expresses a desire, longing & craving prayer. "Direct", "Increase" & "Abound" are all 3 optative mood verbs. Some praying is thanksgiving, confession etc. "Wish" praying is different. In 1 Thess. 2:18, Paul says he wanted to return but Satan hindered him. Now, he seeks a spiritual solution in that he prays about it. "Abound" when used in the Greek it is used of a flowers progress going from bud to bloom. "Stablish"/στηρίζω/stērizō/build a wall around. "All"/πᾶς/pas/without exception. See Gal. 6:10. Paul says to love everyone and especially the believers. See 1 Thess. 1:7. See Phil. 1:9. Paul prayed for their love to abound more and more and more. Love is a sign of Christian maturity. Bickering, bitterness, gossip & slander are signs of spiritual immaturity. Paul says he wants them to live without fault and with a holy life. However, he prefaced it with love. You will learn more in an atmosphere of love than any other circumstance. If a pastor is mean they will not learn. But if he goes into the pulpit with love, grace and kindness, they will learn more. See Prov. 16:21. The sweetness of the lips increases learning. "Coming"/παρουσία/parousia/means "I am by your side". Jesus will come back one day and we will be right by His side. "Saints" could be believers. See Rev. 19:14. The armies in heaven follow Jesus on white horses clothed in white linen. These are believers who have died and been reunited with new bodies. See 2 Thess. 1:10. Jesus will be glorified by His saints and admired by all those that believe. See Dan. 7:9-10. Thousands of angels minister before the Lord. "Abounding love must not be bound". It must have liberty. Loved today's study! Thank you so much for the time you put into these. Sorry we could not make it to revival due to our own revival. We will plan to catch you next time you are in town! Have a great week in the Lord!
@@riseupdevotionspastorjeff Thank you, Preacher. I love your study habits. I know you feed your sweet Church congregation wholesome, spiritual milk and meat! (Sweeter than honey from the honeycomb!)
Paul had such a desire to go to the Thessalonians he was praying to God to open a way for it to be possible. He wanted them to increase in love not only toward each other, but to all men. Paul knew if he didn’t see them again, he would see them at the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe Paul thought it would happen in his lifetime.
Pastor, I had an awesome idea how the book of Acts can possibly be understood as the Gospel of the Holy Spirit. Would you agree❓🙂 I think we would absolutely love you to go through it when you finish 2 Thessalonians, or whenever you are ready, Lord willing.🙏

I enjoyed the lesson today, if we all had the Love of God . What a day that would be ,we are with our Lord.
