You're right! Paula and Michael could be the George Burns and Tracy Allen of our generation!!!! I love those four! Teresa could make out the "rat-pack" list! How about bourbon?
Watching Paula Deen’s videos is officially part of my routine now! LOVE her laughter and positive energy. It goes well with my coffee in the morning! ☺️ ☕️
What a fun time in your kitchen, it's such a pleasure to watch the real Ms. Paula. I look forward to my coffee and Ms Paula time in the mornings. Please keep the video coming. Can't wait until the cook off with Michael.
I JUST LOVE YOU TWO TOGETHER, not only in the Kitchen, BUT Everywhere. Miss Paula, it's so GOOD to see you smile and hear your laughter! I was born a Northerner, however my husband of 34+ years switched me Southern... I would judge the recipe as I have never had pickled avocado. eggs, garlic, pepper or shrimp. I recently broke my right hip and leg (6/12) and replacement surgery (6/16) including rods just in time for my birthday, and after 16 days in the hospital and doing P.T. then convelescing here at home life has been a true turn around. How did I do it? I was opening the dishwasher door and it knocked me to the floor. Oy Vey! I dragged myself to the couch where I sat for 3 days waiting to be carried EVERY where! I then decided that it was time to overcome my insurmountable pain & fear of the RONA and get into the ER. Michael's recipe with the shrimp and onions sounds very good! Please let Ms. Teresa know that my husband and I could be both be testers. He has gone a bit All-American to be true! I'm a CA girl at heart! Love, Miss Bethany
Now I can get on with my day! You are the best way to wake up. You make me smile when so much in the world is making me want to cry. God bless you Paula. Can't wait for the chicken and dumpling cook off!!
For those who might be interested: Julienne beets are back! When I first starting cooking almost 50 years ago, I loved canned julienne beets in salads. Then after a few years passed I couldn't find them anywhere. A few days ago while shopping in Publix, I came upon canned julienne beets by Del Monte. The label has a New! banner on it, so I guess it's true that everything old is new again.
I watch these 3very day. Sometimes they run old episodes of her show. These quarantine videos are,SO MUCH BETTER!! She is relaxed, fun, very REAL. ITS SO REFRESHING!!!
My goodness their house must be fun during the holidays!!! Paula and Michael are so darn cute and hilarious!! Can't wait to see who won the pickled shrimp contest and I'm really looking forward to the chicken and dumplings cook-off!!!
Good Morning..Mrs.Paula , Michael💓 Lol😆 DON'T BE LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT MICHAEL GROOVER😆. I have never had pickled shrimp before sounds so amazing though. You would think me being from Louisiana...I would know all about pickled 🦐 shrimp. Hope all my wonderful friends have a wonderful day love you guys 💓😘
I've never had pickled shrimp, but I believe Pat Conroy said this was his "go to" dish for funerals. You know we have a tradition of taking food to the family when a loved one passes, especially in the South.
That was the cutest video of you and your hubby Ms. Paula. It was so true to life on how real couples joke around. You can truly see the love between you two. Michael should be in more of your videos...
You know, you could actually just put the shrimp in raw, since the acid will cook the shrimp naturally. You could eat them the next day, or like Paula said..wait until they turn opaque.
I'm going to make this when I am at my holiday house in Italy. Be ideal to take with some salad and bread to the beach for a picnic... Oh and some vino! 😎
Oh my gosh I love Italy. Stayed in Florence for a week! I loved it so much. The air bnb we rented was lovely and beautiful loved I could open shutters and Windows in kitchen with my morning coffee❤ what part of Italy is your house?
@@aloneytx about an hour to Venice. Small village inland, with a river running through it, it's navigable so you can go down it to the sea. I'm about 20 mins to the beach... An hour to the dolomites.. my little peace of paradise!
I am SO loving this casual format and just the entire way you are doing these quarantine videos. Hope you keep it up even after quarantine is over if it ever is. 😱
@@aaronREfan I totally agree, I'm so sick of structured, designed, dressed perfectly, etc. EVERYTHING on tv. This feels like home with all the good, bad, silly, mistakes, dogs barking, bird squawking, kids dropping in, REAL things happening. I feel like I'm there with her in her kitchen. LOL
🤮 I have never had pigs feet but see them everywhere. They look nasty friend I have heard they were good but they aren't for me lol. Have a great day Friend😁
Oh now that's what I love to see is everyone's being themselves. Everyone knows when it comes to being a old married couple (even though you found each other later in life). The rules clearly still apply. True love is loud and I have figured out why. PASSION... When you have alot of passion in life you make a great partner. But it can make for some loud disagreements but the passion you have for each other is why you are able to keep the love going for many years!!
I use those kind of jars whenever I can find and like that up Get antique stores you can find the they still make them but I like finding the older ones they're great I love them
Yum we love to catch our seafood here in New Zealand but Shrimp I just buy by the bulk to eat as they are, in garlic or in a beautiful corn and shrimp chowder, with creamed corn, cream and chicken stock, it is so beautiful . I have never tried pickled shrimp so I am definitely going to give this a go, thank you Paula! Also does anybody else save the shrimp tails and fry them to a crisp with lots of salt, they taste amazing and a good way to not waste the whole shrimp or prawn.
You are just the best... the absolute best!!!! I wish so bad I was sitting in your kitchen laughing with you! You’re so normal !!! I adore you and I have since I was little but since you started doing these videos I love you even more 🤣💯
I like to use pickling spice and fresh sliced & seeded Fresno Chiles, I also use 1/2 apple cider and red wine vinegar. I alway tail my shrimp for any dish!
Hi Paula from Vancouver Island up in Canada. I've watched you for years. I lived in the states for a dozen years & now back home in Canada, often have a hankering for southern food. Can I water bath/can pickled shrimp or fish so I can store it on a shelf or give it as a gift to friends? I've made Shotgun Red's recipe (here on UA-cam) for the fridge (he used raw shrimp & cured them in salt for 5 days before rinsing & pickling them) & it was delicious but I fear the canning process will over cook the shrimp & make it tough & turn the fish to mush. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Much love from your polite, nice neighbours to the north.
Love you Paula... but you aren't the only person who knows how to cook or to get to the flavor town they love. Yes, you're good, but you ain't end all be all, ya hear?

Interesting recipe. I agree with Michael, more shrimp and less other composites. I would pickle the other stuff first and let them soften and settle and then add the shrimp.
I love the natural videos... its amazing how much freedom people get when they are free... its all good!

I love pickled pig feet and pickled octopus
mushrooms, beef heart and tongue, too.
