For those who don’t know… these songs were shelved and never completed because Phil Spector was problematic during the sessions so her husband/manager Rene Angelil shut it all down. It worked out well for Celine, who went on to record the record-breaking Falling Into You album shortly after. Celine will probably never agree to officially release these songs… but they are such a treasure. Various versions of these Celine/Phil songs are out there… on tapes. Such an interesting chapter in Celine Dion’s English recording career. I do hope they’re officially released someday.

Phil paid for the sessions, so the recordings were his; however what he didn’t have was Dion, so it was impossible to release them. Sony could buy the rights and release them, but there doesn’t seem to be any interest there.
