Great Effort - Dr Gillard - its really worth the 75 mins watching you video - I was teaching my son the brachial plexus when we came across a few videos and yours - have told my son to look over video again and again. Thank you for posting this video. Cheers - Tamojit
Thank you very much, I am neurology resident, I was struggling with imaging of spine, after seeing your videos it makes so much sense now. you are awesome
Well done. Years of experience and teaching are distilled in this video. It is clear you love what you do and enjoy sharing your gift with others. Thank you!
I've been watching your videos. I had so many issues with Radiologists reading my MRI wrong. Each area has a different finding. Finally have my results. but to late to do surgery
I have a broad based disc bulge at C3 C4 level and minimal bulging annulus at C3 C4 C5 C6 C7 level and also minimal degenerative disc desiccation at the same level and a hyperintense signal lesion at T1 T2
Hi Dr. Gillard, hope you're well. I am going thorugh your videos again after 1 year lol because they're soo good. @15:54 - I noticed the image of this patient with a 4 level ACDF. It seems all these cages have completely subsided leaving absolutely no disc height. I'd like to know your thoughts on this. Whether you agree or disagree and how is the patient doing?
I got diagnosed in an MRI with 2 protrusions(C2-C4), 2 bulges(C4-C6) and 1 hernia (C6-C7) and I have zero pain and normal mobility.. surprisingly. The only symptom I got was some light tingling(happened after a massage) in my left thumb and left bicep(consistent with C6 myotome and dermatome). The tingling has subsided in the meantime and now I'm pretty much fine symptomatically. I'm starting to suspect the radiology report was BS
I had an MRI to investigate back pain and was recalled to hospital within 24 hours as a medical emergency, to be told immediately that I was in imminent danger of paralysis, then made to lay on a ward bed for 9 hours during which examinations were made. What bothered me was the discomfort caused by the instruction to lay immobilised on the bed with back pain and of course the level of fear created. Eventually, I could take no more and left the hospital. At home I was able to reduce the pain levels without any medication and now wait for a consultant to review the MRI scans with the hospital observations and notes, but I take some comfort, that much may be seen on an MRI which does not predict pain or symptoms.
A big thanks to you sir, 😍, you explained it the very best way, even an illiterate individual would understand the concept very well.. Thank you so very much, for this informative video. 💛
As patient your voice modulation is intimidating. Because It sound like you are describing how to make a delicious cake. 🙂 But the video is very useful and thr time you have taken to explain it all. I never seen any such informative video. Thank you from India

Because I did spinal cysts surgery in my low back in S1, S2,and S3 ,last few months because I couldn't sit on my butt comfortable and still , before surgery and I still I feel like pressure like rock or ball moving different ways when I changed the way when I sit !! Even I have constipation....and I around my vagina is not moving like normal and I couldn't do sex with my husband because I will feel severe pain and like the muscles' vagina didn't move and also I'm in perimenopause !!?! Before surgery I went to many physical therapist made me more worse ,most of them they confused and they didn't know what exactly type of specific therapy I need and they told me because L4 and L5 are narrowing!!? After that When I went to orthopedic surgery told me I'm normal in L4 and L5 ,and he told me may be I have SI joints disfunction and I need injections!!? Any advices I appreciat it ! I live in Illinois, USA.....Thank you Sir !!?

Really good video. Received a really bad (simplified) MR result interpretation from my doctor and going back to medical station for another doctor visit. I get the feeling then have to poor knowledge in this area. There is really no point of doing a MR if not the analysis is done. Waste of time an money
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful. Remember, MRI has a High false positive rate for things that typically cause low back pain (meaning, people without back pain can have these findings). You have to match the MRI findings, with a thorough history of injury and the examination findings to achieve a proper diagnosis.
You're really good at explaining things, and making them easy to understand if you're not normally familiar with the verbiage. Thank you. 🙏🙂
Excellent explanation. As a future ACDF surgery patient this has helped me to understand my CT and MRI images. Thank you and wishing you well.

Question @39:57: Is the CT Mylegoram displaying the axial cut at a vertebrae level and MRI showing the view at a disc level
