i’m white and my gf is black and wears braids. i however, have autism and LOVE undoing her braids. it’s the most satisfying thing in my mind and i can it done quickly now because i love it so much. i’ve secretly been learning from her sister and mom how to do braids so i can surprise her by helping her with her hair soon.

Mine normally takes two days because I keep getting distracted. But the last time I was taking mine out I had to go to the salon by 10 am tmrw and it was 10 pm. So I had to finish quickly. Overall it took me four hours
as a non-black person i've never thought about the fact that you can't fully scratch your scalp with braids for weeks or months (idk how long they stay in) omg that must feel soo good
You can use the tip of a rat tail comb, it feels soooo good. Nice if you don’t want to mess up a ponytail or bun too. Some people like pat their head also and that can help with an itch

as a dancer, I used to think taking my hair out of a super tight, geled and hairsprayed bun after 10 hours felt sooo good but braids must feel 100x better considering that they stay in for way longer than just a day. when ever my sister would french braid my hair i would be on the verge of tears on how painful it is!! i couldnt even imagine getting tons of little tight braids all over my scalp, i would go into a coma!
