Just completed the project box (the last half of your video) along with you.. was almost able to build it as fast as you did with only 4 pauses! I don't think there is anyway I could have done this as fast in TinkerCad which sadly used to be my go to for simple boxes. I told a friend to use tinkercad for our esp32 projects, he told me to use freeCad.. then i bought a bambu lab x1 carbon. Then I find your tutorials. The stars have aligned.. Cheers to you sir!
Great to hear that these tutorials have helped you and your progressing :). There is a lot more to come as I have only scratched the surface. Thank you for your kind comment
Excellent video as always, thanks for keeping this tutorial alive! Would love a video which focuses on understanding tolerances a bit more. Thanks again MJS :D
I was searching for the offset parameter of SubShapeBinder in Part Design, until the bright idea of using a newer version than 0.20 of FreeCad. 0.20.1 did the job.
Im using 0.21.1 and under the thickness parameters there is no add face just a select button, is there another way to create another face. Thank you your videos are the easiest to follow and have helped me tremendiosly
I had one when I was first started on youtube with a homemade cnc but it's very much out dated and not up to the standards I produce videos at now. The path workbench would be your best call but it's all too do worth cnc paths.
Hi there, I ahve seen your videos on FreeCAD and pretty impressed. I am prone to use SW and Fusion360 back in my UG&PG but I don't have their subscriptions anymore. Just wondering does freecad is enough like SW? thanks
Thank you, glad you like the videos. I haven't used solid works for years so I can't really comment. But the workflows through such writhed as part design is similar to fusion in ways. Freecad is a very different beast due to the numerous ways you can achieve your goal

Thank you once again 😎👍😀😀
I did not regret watching the video until the end. Very informative.
Thanks :-) I sent the £2 to make sure you existed first ;-)
Thank you so much, yes I exist lol. But I do identify as a potato. Now I just sound like a bot lol. Much appreciated.
Hvala.
Thank you so much 👍👍😁😁😁

Very useful and powerful, thanks🎉
Geezz you make that look easy.
Using binder offset is a great tip! TIL
This was very educational and helpful. Thank you.

Thanks glad your liking the series. Great suggestion I will add to the list. :)
Quick and easy . Before watching video a wondered how could I done it, but I am suprised how fast it can be done!!!!!
Yep thickness, when it works, makes life so much easier. Extruding a face is often forgotten about though.
very helpful, Thanks
Always learn something. Thanks!!
Great to hear 😁👍
just learnt something.... subbed
Thanks
Thank you so much 👍👍👍
Thanks a lot!! very very clear explanation!
Last box wow!
You are a bag of surprises ... taught me something very useful this cold morning. Thank you
Thank you glad you enjoyed, crank the heating up and enjoy freecad 👍👍
Select a face and use pocket! wow. I used to make a sketch around the part I wanted to remove!
Glad to show something new. There are a number of these quick things that are not obvious in freecad
Abother excellent video!
Thank you 😊
I've never even noticed that offset value used in the very end. I really should find time to use FreeCAD more.
There is lots of features in freecad and I have just teamed up with a Developer to discover more 😁😁
Great tutorial, making rounded boxes is so satisfying!
Thanks 👍😁
That is very true.. maybe because the printed result looks much more professional.
Great. Thank you 🙂

Thank you for adding this, really helps with others having the same issues.
how do i change thickness universally on a curved object

"meh... thickness, we have already seen this tool..."
30 sec latter : "We can do THAT?!"
Hi. Do you have a video about generating a gcode in freecad? Merci
I had one when I was first started on youtube with a homemade cnc but it's very much out dated and not up to the standards I produce videos at now. The path workbench would be your best call but it's all too do worth cnc paths.
