- SOS! We are coming back with another reaction to Dimash Kudaibergen. This time we are listening for the first time to SOS (S.O.S). Please note we recorded this video right after our first reaction to Dimash's Stranger song (by the way its available on our channel) and at the time we didn't know anything about him. Since then, fans have already told us a lot about his career and songs! :)

Dimash is in a league all on his own. He started his training when he was 5 years old; he's only 27 now. He is currently doing his Doctorate degree in Music. He has spent his whole life living and breathing music. He is a natural talent; his mother is an opera singer and his father is a music producer. However, Dimash trained and still trains at least 3 hours/day. He still hones that talent. Thank you

Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz, was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his PhD.
He currently has a vocal range of over 6 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both arrange you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan.
He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it.
At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in a Chinese singing show for professional singers. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China.
He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. He has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well.
His vocals range from a rich low baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has Hit a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato.
He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. His concerts are usually about 3 hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres.
He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turn this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music.
He's a multi-instrumentalist, competent on 8 instruments including piano, drums and the native Turk/Kazakhstan two-stringed instrument called a dombra.
As of May 24th, 2021 he will celebrate his 27th birthday. He is most widely known through his live performances that has released several albums the first one going platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum in less than an hour.
It has been recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears"
He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history.

Dimash’s training: Classically trained since the age of 5, when he was found to have perfect pitch, he still has 3 hours of vocal training every day. He has 2 degrees in vocals, Classical and Contemporary/Jazz and a Masters in Composition (for which he received a perfect score). He is a great composer. He is currently studying for his Doctorate in Musicology. He plays 7 musical instruments (his playing is as amazing as his singing!) He was winning piano competitions since the age of 5. He sings in 12 languages. His parents are both very famous singers in Kazakhstan and his mother sings Opera (she is a soprano) and his father sings pop and he’s also a music producer. He sings like both of his parents, but better! Dimash was offered a place in the Astana Opera house in the capital of Kazakhstan, but turned it down because he wanted to go his own way musically.
I always said that it doesn't matter what kind of music you like, when you hear Dimash you recognize his amazing talent and this is enough. He's a complete artist with a rare talent. When I heard this song for the first time I felt like he was trying to reach the sky and taking us with him. Amazing!

Hi ! He sings in French and you can activate the English subs. He is super educated in music. Been training in singing and piano since he was 5. Has done all his school/education in musical institutions. Has university degrees in bel canto (opera) and pop/jazz singing, a master in composition last year and is still doing a PhD. He also plays the dumbra (string instrument from Kazakhstan) and the drums. So he knows quiet well what he is doing 😂

@@EbonyIvoryReact Totally agree about 'The Worlds Best', avoid. When it comes to Screaming there are a few iterations. It's one of his earlier songs in English. First watch the music video then later versions when he adds rap to the mix.

This song is in French, from the French-Canadian rock opera Starmania. He is fluent in Kazakh and Russian, has learned some Mandarin and his English is fine but with the usual Asian accent issues with "th" and such. He sang a Mandarin song, Autumn Strong, when he knew about 10 words in Mandarin by learning it phonetically, which includes the tonal endings, which is tricky while singing notes. Learned it in a week.

Dimash is not 26 yo but 27 yo since May 24, 2021 (born May 24, 1994). He started working singing at the age of 5 and never stopped.

Dimash is a perfectionist and a workaholic. In interviews on Kazak TV, he stated that he wakes up at 5AM (7 days a week). By 5:30AM he has begun doing 3 hours of vocal exercises (scales, arpeggios, lip bubbles, etc..). That is before he even begins his workday in the studio or at rehearsals for a concert. To improve his lung capacity and breath control, he will either swim laps in a pool for 1 hour uninterrupted or hit the treadmill for a 5k run. Sometimes, he will substitute that for a full-on 90 minute soccer match with his mates and their team. (He has good ball skills as you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/kt_lokOZLWw/v-deo.html ). He doesn’t drink, either! He will often work 12-14 hour days. He says he hates vacations. Dimash is the real deal when it comes to showing how hard work and dedication will make you succeed!

You have barely scratched the surface. He has an extraordinary skill level in all registers, and has unequaled control of his vocal timbre and texture. this gives him an astonishing ability to sing all genres....from opera to rap. BTW this song is a French song, so this is not his native language, which is Kazakh. He also is fluent in Russian, and is learning and can converse in English and Mandarin (Chinese). He has performed songs in 12 languages.... Kazakh, Russian, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Krgyz, Ukranian, Serbian and Turkish. BTW, nice video. Though Dimash doesn't seem to be Mr. Ivory's thing, Ms. Ebony should definitely continue experiencing Dimash's large archive of performances. Every one of them is a work of art....Enjoy!!

He is very well trained and has his Masters in Music. He has about a 6 and a half octave range. This song was in French (not his language). It is a famous French-Canadian song from the 1970s. Hard to tell where your musical centre is…. Dimash has classical, classic rock, Kazakh traditional, rock opera, pop, rap (within Be with Me and I think Unforgettable Day). He is known for reaching across the genres also. Olimpico was written for Dimash. Sinful Passion was originally performed by an older Zazakh group called A Studio. Thanks for giving him a chance to hear his different styles.

Another enjoyable reaction. This is the song that most people start their Dimash journey with. This was recorded three years ago (2018) at the annual Slavic Bazaar competition. The song “SOS (d'un Terrien en détresse)” is originally from a French-Canadian musical called ‘Starmania’ from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, so this is not his native language.

This style isn’t my usual cup of tea either, but I love this kind of natural talent combined with hard-core SKILLS. This song is the one that put him on the map (there’s an earlier version where he was singing it at a voice contest). It let him show off not only part of his incredible range, but his mastery of a range of vocal techniques, from opera to more of a rock tone. For fun you might watch the earlier version just because it’s a kick to see the judges and other musicians react as he goes along. They know how hard it is to do what he’s doing (the other contestants actually look a bit queasy as they listen because they have to go next!).
It’s amazing what he does with his voice, I can imagine the feeling of the other contestants, but that’s just Dimash doing what he does best, will be nice to check out his earlier version.👍🏽 thanks for leaving a comment.🙏🙏

Dimash sang in French this song he sings in 12 languages. Dimash does a lot of different Genre. Dimash becomes the character in all his performances and 5 seconds after goes back to the humble Shy Guy called Dimash. Both his Parents are award winning vocalist in his country so genetics and being around parents that sang all the time was a bonus . Keep going ever song is different :)

Dimash was a child prodigy son of professional singers in Kazakhstan. He had perfect pitch at age 2, began voice & piano training at 5, performing at 6, graduated from High School for Performing Arts at 15. He is now 27, and has been an international superstar since 2017. His music is "Neo-Classical" sometimes called "Popera" because he mixes genreds within a song. He is highly trained in Classical/Operatic Voice & in "Contemporary/Pop/R & B" He also has earned university degrees BA Classical Voice, BA Contemporary Voice, MA in Music Composition. In addition he thinks of himself as an "Artist" 1st & as a Singer 2nd. He also plays 7 different intruments. His fan clubs around the world number over 10 million members. Dimash is a very focused/grounded person who remains respectful & humble. He is truly a once in a lifetime musical phenomenon. It is very amazing. I'm a 79 year old retired musician/singer/performer/teacher, and a huge music fan, and I'm also a huge Dimash fan.

Try Dimash, Sinful Passion. His native language is Kazakh. This was French. However, he is also fluent in Russian and is getting more proficient in English every day. He speaks a little Mandarin. That being said, he has performed songs in up to I believe 12 languages. Sinful Passion is in Russian, but has subtitles. If you want a different Dimash, do Kieli Meken off his official channel. It is in Kazakh. No high notes at all. It is seriously good and the lyrics were written by his father.

The only genre of music that I haven't heard Dimash sing is American Country and Blue Grass. He is even fantastic at singing Rap as you can see in "Be With Me."

That is a contest where Dimash was a guest. This is the 2018 Slavic Bazaar and he won 2015 Slavic Bazaar! Dimash worn other kind of cloths in 2015. You can find the video in UA-cam! Dimash was judge and guest in 2021 Slavic Bazaar and sung a song called Be With Me! That song has a Michael Jackson's vibe (Dimash was fan)

This not in his language which is Kazakh or his secondary language which is Russian. It is in French. In fact he sings in 12 languages and is a multi instrumentalist. He has studied classical music since he was 5 and has several degrees. Make our mistake though, he loves and sings all genres. In addition he is a humble loving humanitarian who loves his family, his country and his fans very much. In fact he called us his Dears because we are very dear to him! Is it any wonder we care so much about this gentleman??? His music is always a surprise. After following since 2017, I still have never been bored by his music!
