I agree with you when you said that you would not be introducing Janet's family to anyone. You are now part of Janet's family with a obligation protect them from harm or intrusion. As a subscriber there are rules, boundaries and limitations that we should not go beyond with our questions. Recently, another Vlogger I follow announced he and his Filipina are moving due to the intrusion of their privacy. We all have to remember that you and other Vloggers invite subscribers into their lives electronically thru the internet not into you daily lives physically.

Nice video Mike, Good Q & A. I thought I would comment on the online dating service. Normally I would not use a service for the fact its hard to really know who you talking to. However I decided to pony up some money and I joined Christian Filipina because they came recommended from another Vlogger. In my opinion CF is the most professional site out there to meet Filipinas. I actually had to be interviwed by CF before I had full access. They usually want to verify you are who you say you are. They do a good job of filtering out the ones with bad intentions. Im now at the end of my 3 month subscribtion and it looks like, at the last moment, I found someone definetly worth coming there to visit. It was pure luck, but I give a lot of credit to the website. Not sure if its for everyone but I got lucky. If I had to do it all over again I probably would just wait until I was there in person. If nothing else it saves a lot of that chatting on the computer which Im not a fan of. Thanks for the videos, keep them coming and I hope to visit you guys when I get there. Take care.

I have used Date in Asia. I talked to a girl for 6 months before I went to visit her on Mindanao last July only to realize after meeting her and her family, she was more in love with me online than she was in person. She hinted at needing money before we met, but I would always move to "good girls dont ask or hint for money" and she would back off. Unfortunately, I think the asking/hinting for money was driven by her mother. When we met in person for 11 days, she was not nearly as affectionate as she was online. So, I think the dating sights are good for looking at pictures and profiles, but I would not engage with them until you are ready to go to the Philippines within a week or so. It may be just wasting your time or leading you down the wrong path. I think it is a 50/50 chance of finding someone that is in it for more than just the money. They are there I believe, but it is difficult to determine the genuine Filipinas from the opportunists.
I think waiting to go online until just before you are to arrive in PI is excellent advice. And it's good to put that pending arrival right in your profile title to ward off some of the scammers.
@@dr.richmann4477 I sent the money for various reasons, her dad needed emergency hospital work, he is diabetic and had damage to his leg, she needed money for her and her daughter, she wanted to start a meat business, needed premises, licenses, product, etc. It was very genuine and above board, I have all the pictures and receipts. I never thought of her as a scammer, all the reasons were justified and honest, it’s just that we had no real chemistry when we met. I am disappointed that I lost so much money, I kept waiting on the Philippines opening up, and after almost 2 years online I thought the only way to get there was by marrying online. I hold no grudges against her, she was doing what she thought was right, based on us being together.
I have been on Christian Filipina for 3 months (got 4 months for 200 usd) The plus 1) good at coaching the foreigners + phonecall follow up 2) good at cleaning all scam or untrustable profiles + transgenders The minus They don't coach the girls... So you often have profiles with only 1 photos and no personal description ! How useful is that ? And a lot of profiles that have been simply inactive for months... So after 3 months i still don't have one particular lady 🙄 I will not renew my subscribtion. Instead i will buy a flight ticket and visit out friend Mike in Negros. 😉
I just joined ChristianFilipina and got hit with 5 scammers in the first day…. I talk to the admin and they suspended them after checking them out… sure made it hard to trust anyone now

Hey Mike/Janet, good to see you two, I don't use any dating sites but others have said the Christian Dating Philippines site is one of the best my guess is the people that are willing to pay a premium to use the site would be a bit more serious vs. the scammers. Also, the quality of people that you meet in terms of character may be better but there is no guarantee Christian website or not. I would imagine if you land in the Phils you would want to utilize something more local like Facebook, it would only make sense as you are there. I'll figure that out when I get there, anyway nice chat.
GREAT Video and you are correct about introductions, did not think about it that way. So with that said, I can't wait to meet you some time next year. I use ZERO dating sites, I would rather meet them in person. So I will be coming on a month long vacation, could be a forever vacation too, we'll just have to see. Dumaguete is where I will be living, after six months of watching countless videos (at least 500+) from several different people Dumaguete is the place hands down! I have already set my self up with Karen as my relator (not the only one) and joined her FB and UA-cam channels so I think I will be in great hands with her.
Using Christian Filipina and yes there's a fee. However they are professional and train the men and are very available for questions. They are also careful to quickly get rid of potential scammers.

Thanks for the videos - very informative. What would be very helpful for me is a list of the TOP 5 (or more) cities where ex-pats settle, with some pros and cons about each. I am about 3 years out, and would like to do some serious research before my first preliminary visit to them in person. For example, Baguio sounded great until the altitude was mentioned, making it a little too chilly at times for this desert dweller. So a list of cities for people to research would be great. And if you don't want to take the time to compile any info, just rattle off a list from memory, and we'll do the research. You could just type them in here, and I'll see them. Thanks!

You and Janet are correct in not introducing relatives/friends because if anything goes wrong you will get the fallout. One person you should interview is Carol! She can explain What a Licence involves. What buying a property involves. How many people get Commission if buying Privately, (increases prices).... plus more importantly, changes in the Law currently in pipeline! Not on dating sites, or dating Online I believe in Fate.
I use Filipina Cupid I have not have much issues but I am extra cautious. My cardinal rule is no money upfront no matter what. So the scammers don't waste there time with me. I am planning my first trip out to the Philippines in December-January. Your videos are very informative. Especially the budgeting videos.

Hello Mike & Janet, really enjoy the content of your videos. My girlfriend and I will be visiting Dumaguete in March and if possible it would be nice to meet up with you. I met Vicky 3yrs ago today on Christian Filipino, but due to Covid we weren’t able to meet until earlier this year, but I’ve made two trips and will be returning in March. I was quit fortunate, I was only on CF for a few months when I met Vicky, shortly there after I was able to cancel my membership and CF refunded a portion of my membership. But yes the ladies use the sight for free, but if you want to chat or send messages, you have to pay the membership, which is understandable. I would agree with other comments that CF seems to do a decent job in screening individuals, while I was active, I did receive a few messages from CF with warnings on a few individuals that reviewed my profile. Not saying CF stops all scammers, but they seem to monitor the site quit well. Anyway thank you both and God’s blessings to all this Holiday season.

Hi I met my lady on OK Cupid...in the foreign section. Chatted with many women first until a made the choice about her. My experience is that Philippinas speak more English than any other Asian country.
I used Filipino Cupid and I thought it was excellent, almost 11 years ago but a good experience and no complaints. Scammers were there so be careful whatever service you use and use lots of common sense
Great advice Mike, I am hoping to visit the Philippines next year, but after watching all of the videos from ex-pats like you, I have decided to wait and find a girlfriend after I come to the Philippines, if you meet a girl online, chances are you are going to be living where she is from because she wants to be close to her family, my plan is to to see what area would like to live in first and get a feel for the culture before I start dating, I have learned from experience it takes a while to really get to know someone,, you have absolutely no idea who you are talking to when you meet someone online and what their real motives are, I personally think it’s a little foolish to send money to someone you have never met, that being said I know the Philippines is a developing country, and anyone with a heart, or a sense of compassion, would really struggle not to send money when you see people just to survive, thanks, Gordon

I found my Filipina on Filipino Cupid. I had to weed through a lot of scammers but they were pretty easy to detect so they didn't really bother me. It was actually entertaining to see the various ways they would try to get money out of me. But there are good women on there if you are patient.

I met my failed LDR, probable scammer through Facebook. She sent me a friend request March 30 this year. Within a minute of accepting her we were chatting. Me 60, her 38, one child and a sisters child she told me she adopted. Within 4 days she agreed to come to Canada to be my wife. She did not ask for money until we became intimate, photographs, sexting, I guess it,s called. I sent her P7000, a sum I was prepared to sacrifice, no big deal. Long story short the heart emojis and terms of endearment stopped late October when I received some inheritance and did not offer her any money. She responded to me once in the past month. Shockingly.....she told me her phone was broken. The moral is do not send them any money unless you can readily afford it. End of story as Mike said.

This is really good advice. I have experienced this myself and it’s disheartening. If you have good intentions, it’s disappointing to find out the person is all about money.
I don't use dating sites, for one I don't have the time or desire to deal with chatting online with the time difference and not knowing the girl. I have chatted and texted girls I met while in the Philippines who I knew where great girls. Maybe if I have to I'll use dating sites when I arrive but It's easy enough for me to meet a girl while there, generally takes me 1 week to 2 weeks at the most and many times 2 or 3 days but I've been going there for 40 years now and had a born and raised in the Philippines GF in the US before that so I've been around Filipina's quite a bit in my life. My next trip is booked for 3 months and I'll be looking for the right long term Filipina and the place I want to live. Doubt I would make it to Duma though, doesn't really interest me. By the way, Janet looks so beautiful with those monster big shades, very cool.
Mike, I don't believe in a long-distance relationship unless you have met them in person beforehand. Also, I think that you should know about when you will be moving to their country or when you plan on bringing them to your country.

Mike - per your request I have tried several dating sites over the last 10years, dated about 14 from this, most disappointing, 3 took several dates to learn the red flag back stories. all w/in driving distance so limited myself. on-line dialog was entertaining as you spot the usual scammer techniques. Some i led on to see what they would do until finally calling them out. I could write a book on spotting them. many use the same script. Never give personal info of course. About 1/5 are scammers on all the sights if not more. I liked OKQupid Q/A for screening, Match, Eharmony yielded the best relationship, POF👎. over 50 over here most now are desperate, baggage ridden, ugly, scary, fat, dumpy😬😣. woman here dont age well. Am visiting the PI soon so wont try phil site till there and I can meet them in person. that’s really the best way to avoid deception. feel free to ask me any questions, John
Who needs a girlfriend. You pay for female affection when you need it, and you pay her to leave....once! Guys go to the Phillipines and other parts of the world, pay for girlfriends, support their families, and make them expensive to date and marry, for any other expat.
Mike , most dating sites no matter where you are say a free but this is to get you to sign up & ask for all your personal information which everyone these days need to show caution these days .. however at some point a charge will apply so guys listen to Mike’s advice on this to guide you.. keep your money in your pocket , Christian Filipina seems popular but my view waste of money … same apply to site Asia dating .. nothing much is free really they run a platform cost money profit required you will pay …my advice pick out a few Vlogers like mike and Janet and Filipina pea you will get a good insights… personally I have used Facebook but still a process to learn and navigate I have met so really lovely humans their but kept in my head find a friendship s first not love.. Nice video Mike, Good Q & A. I thought I would comment on the online dating service. Normally I would not use a service for the fact its hard to really know who you talking to. However I decided to pony up some money and I joined Christian Filipina because they came recommended from another Vlogger. In my opinion CF is the most professional site out there to meet Filipinas. I actually had to be interviwed by CF before I had full access. They usually want to verify you are who you say you are. They do a good job of filtering out the ones with bad intentions. Im now at the end of my 3 month subscribtion and it looks like, at the last moment, I found someone definetly worth coming there to visit. It was pure luck, but I give a lot of credit to the website. Not sure if its for everyone but I got lucky. If I had to do it all over again I probably would just wait until I was there in person. If nothing else it saves a lot of that chatting on the computer which Im not a fan of. Thanks for the videos, keep them coming and I hope to visit you guys when I get there. Take care.

I have used Date in Asia. I talked to a girl for 6 months before I went to visit her on Mindanao last July only to realize after meeting her and her family, she was more in love with me online than she was in person. She hinted at needing money before we met, but I would always move to "good girls dont ask or hint for money" and she would back off. Unfortunately, I think the asking/hinting for money was driven by her mother. When we met in person for 11 days, she was not nearly as affectionate as she was online. So, I think the dating sights are good for looking at pictures and profiles, but I would not engage with them until you are ready to go to the Philippines within a week or so. It may be just wasting your time or leading you down the wrong path. I think it is a 50/50 chance of finding someone that is in it for more than just the money. They are there I believe, but it is difficult to determine the genuine Filipinas from the opportunists.
I had a similar experience, no chemistry when we met after 2 years online, also from Mindanao, cost me a lot of money😐

I think waiting to go online until just before you are to arrive in PI is excellent advice. And it's good to put that pending arrival right in your profile title to ward off some of the scammers.

@@dr.richmann4477 I sent the money for various reasons, her dad needed emergency hospital work, he is diabetic and had damage to his leg, she needed money for her and her daughter, she wanted to start a meat business, needed premises, licenses, product, etc. It was very genuine and above board, I have all the pictures and receipts. I never thought of her as a scammer, all the reasons were justified and honest, it’s just that we had no real chemistry when we met. I am disappointed that I lost so much money, I kept waiting on the Philippines opening up, and after almost 2 years online I thought the only way to get there was by marrying online. I hold no grudges against her, she was doing what she thought was right, based on us being together.

They don't coach the girls... So you often have profiles with only 1 photos and no personal description ! How useful is that ? And a lot of profiles that have been simply inactive for months...
So after 3 months i still don't have one particular lady 🙄
I will not renew my subscribtion. Instead i will buy a flight ticket and visit out friend Mike in Negros. 😉

Hey Mike/Janet, good to see you two, I don't use any dating sites but others have said the Christian Dating Philippines site is one of the best my guess is the people that are willing to pay a premium to use the site would be a bit more serious vs. the scammers. Also, the quality of people that you meet in terms of character may be better but there is no guarantee Christian website or not. I would imagine if you land in the Phils you would want to utilize something more local like Facebook, it would only make sense as you are there. I'll figure that out when I get there, anyway nice chat.

I use ZERO dating sites, I would rather meet them in person. So I will be coming on a month long vacation, could be a forever vacation too, we'll just have to see. What would be very helpful for me is a list of the TOP 5 (or more) cities where ex-pats settle, with some pros and cons about each. I am about 3 years out, and would like to do some serious research before my first preliminary visit to them in person.
For example, Baguio sounded great until the altitude was mentioned, making it a little too chilly at times for this desert dweller.
So a list of cities for people to research would be great. And if you don't want to take the time to compile any info, just rattle off a list from memory, and we'll do the research.

I use Filipina Cupid I have not have much issues but I am extra cautious. My cardinal rule is no money upfront no matter what. So the scammers don't waste there time with me. I am planning my first trip out to the Philippines in December-January. Your videos are very informative. Especially the budgeting videos.

I met Vicky 3yrs ago today on Christian Filipino, but due to Covid we weren’t able to meet until earlier this year, but I’ve made two trips and will be returning in March. I was quit fortunate, I was only on CF for a few months when I met Vicky, shortly there after I was able to cancel my membership and CF refunded a portion of my membership. But yes the ladies use the sight for free, but if you want to chat or send messages, you have to pay the membership, which is understandable. I would agree with other comments that CF seems to do a decent job in screening individuals, while I was active, I did receive a few messages from CF with warnings on a few individuals that reviewed my profile. Not saying CF stops all scammers, but they seem to monitor the site quit well.

Great advice Mike, I am hoping to visit the Philippines next year, but after watching all of the videos from ex-pats like you, I have decided to wait and find a girlfriend after I come to the Philippines, if you meet a girl online, chances are you are going to be living where she is from because she wants to be close to her family, my plan is to to see what area would like to live in first and get a feel for the culture before I start dating, I have learned from experience it takes a while to really get to know someone,, you have absolutely no idea who you are talking to when you meet someone online and what their real motives are, I personally think it’s a little foolish to send money to someone you have never met, that being said I know the Philippines is a developing country, and anyone with a heart, or a sense of compassion, would really struggle not to send money when you see people just to survive, thanks, Gordon

I found my Filipina on Filipino Cupid. I had to weed through a lot of scammers but they were pretty easy to detect so they didn't really bother me. It was actually entertaining to see the various ways they would try to get money out of me. But there are good women on there if you are patient.

I met my failed LDR, probable scammer through Facebook. She sent me a friend request March 30 this year. Within a minute of accepting her we were chatting. Me 60, her 38, one child and a sisters child she told me she adopted. Within 4 days she agreed to come to Canada to be my wife. She did not ask for money until we became intimate, photographs, sexting, I guess it,s called. I sent her P7000, a sum I was prepared to sacrifice, no big deal. Long story short the heart emojis and terms of endearment stopped late October when I received some inheritance and did not offer her any money. She responded to me once in the past month. Shockingly.....she told me her phone was broken. The moral is do not send them any money unless you can readily afford it. End of story as Mike said.

I don't use dating sites, for one I don't have the time or desire to deal with chatting online with the time difference and not knowing the girl. I have chatted and texted girls I met while in the Philippines who I knew where great girls. Maybe if I have to I'll use dating sites when I arrive but It's easy enough for me to meet a girl while there, generally takes me 1 week to 2 weeks at the most and many times 2 or 3 days but I've been going there for 40 years now and had a born and raised in the Philippines GF in the US before that so I've been around Filipina's quite a bit in my life. My next trip is booked for 3 months and I'll be looking for the right long term Filipina and the place I want to live. Doubt I would make it to Duma though, doesn't really interest me. By the way, Janet looks so beautiful with those monster big shades, very cool.

Mike - per your request I have tried several dating sites over the last 10years, dated about 14 from this, most disappointing, 3 took several dates to learn the red flag back stories. all w/in driving distance so limited myself. on-line dialog was entertaining as you spot the usual scammer techniques. Some i led on to see what they would do until finally calling them out. I could write a book on spotting them. many use the same script. Never give personal info of course. About 1/5 are scammers on all the sights if not more. I liked OKQupid Q/A for screening, Match, Eharmony yielded the best relationship, POF👎. over 50 over here most now are desperate, baggage ridden, ugly, scary, fat, dumpy😬😣. woman here dont age well. Am visiting the PI soon so wont try phil site till there and I can meet them in person. that’s really the best way to avoid deception. feel free to ask me any questions, John
Who needs a girlfriend. You pay for female affection when you need it, and you pay her to leave....once! Guys go to the Phillipines and other parts of the world, pay for girlfriends, support their families, and make them expensive to date and marry, for any other expat.

You know I'm 51 and I live in Miami Dade county this house is paid for if I had to run this place and it'll be $2,800 just to rent That's not including the light bill I got it down to $110 because I live in a townhouse with two bedrooms right next to FIU the college the big college here in Miami but I when I was smart I own the biggest fish farm my grandfather and I was raised in the woods like the Philippines and the swamp I mean fighting fish swords platties Angels cichlids Abba Abbas Red devils you know I'll make ponds over there in the Philippines and start racing the biggest organic fish farm that's what you eat you eat when you eat organic for real those chickens that you eat you guys eat it's just eating pure pure bugs and protein not all these artificial fake pellets they even feed protein from animals to the chicken the pig's house it's terrible when people feeding the animals protein to chickens of cow fat and all that anyways and the hormones and everything over there you're you eat organic the glory to God for your wife and you... That's my retirement like $$848 that's my retirement I got married with a Cuban that her father was a communist general she loved me but I'd raised two shots from her the stepdaughter and the stepson Haiti 12 going to 13 for 8 years and does the oldest of the first the different father 14 going to 15 for 7 years and 9 months she was a very jealous woman when a woman is not secure herself and she got her knife and she put her to a wrist because I said I was going to go for a walk when she get these rage jealousy and she says please Don't leave Me I'll kill myself that's when I started balancing the love because I knew about her aunt in Cuba she was 28 years old or my ex-wife and her boyfriend left her got kerosene put it all over her body let us off on fire ran into the bathroom in front of her father and locked her soft in the bathroom in Cuba while she was on fire that's why I knew that story she had told me so when I see her get that butcher knife you better believe that was the scariest day of my life my friend I tried balancing the love but she was very jealous a woman that's not secure herself the husband that God gave her like you're honesty like I'm telling you it's because she's not secure herself and I told her you decide to be with another man told tell me don't disrespect God and Jesus you can disrespect me all you want but try to get a divorce before you do that she was talking just by talking to another man of her past problems of our family you talk to the pastor the married us God Jesus for nobody from her past they used to steal from all the time yes I knew all about even though I was sitting in a car playing video games and I'll stop and renting this house the one you going to see when you touch that little circle next to Jesus the big block and the holy Land is made out of marble I took her there and the same thing from Jose I married a prostitute and then Hosea from the Bible Jesus said about this man the married a prostitute and up to she found herself like a slave and that's what happened to her when she asked for the you need to be free your Christian and you better believe she was going to pay for the divorce I wasn't going to disrespect God because if she told me that I had to pay for the divorce I had the receipts of everything that we're going to knock at her house and say Michael your husband besides of you don't sign the $500 for the divorce you can't take the $30,000 worth of merchandise that he has inside the sausage that he bought with his own money he's giving you a chance that's what the paperwork wasn't going to say are you going to sign the $500 or you got to just get the car your things your clothes and leave the house you can't take nothing only the things that you have the receipt. And if she but she didn't do that she did the right thing she should have never told any of a problems with anybody my friend only God Jesus or the pastor to marry me my passing me go to the stores and we get food and feed the people for years she was talking to people that used to steal from her all the time yes my friend she found myself like a slave up to what I seen the what's up a mugshot that the guy took from her and she didn't like social media and she was very scared in the back I called my step daughter and my stepson I said I give him 48 hours to leave your mother alone I will throw them inside of I don't pray to God and I'm going to forgive him because he's my enemy because he was talking to my wife while she was married to me so he I'm going to pray for him tell him I'm going to be praying in 48 hours he's going to see me because I got a couple things to talk to him and my step daughter that don't answer me but he took off she found us off like a slave that she seen in the holy Land after 2 years of slavery I she doesn't even know how to call me and forgive her so because she knows that I knew when I see that mugshot not not the pictures I had while I was sitting in the couch people going around people that love me you know like God Jesus and the people you know when you see my step daughter going downstairs and look at me and just go back upstairs I don't you see I was raised for 14 Uncle cuz they were private investigators and I was raised stopping even as drugs homicides everything by myself when my own people my own money that's why they retired me cuz I couldn't keep up with me I didn't want anybody to get hurt...
