Great driving in those conditions, as confident as I am I don’t think I would have attempted it. We’ve got a 8.2 meter motorhome and hoping to complete it this year fingers cross better weather conditions. Glad you decided to show it all and not edited it.
Wow, you are a terrific driver Simon. I was experiencing anxiety attacks just watching this video. Pity it was so misty though , we didn't see the beautiful scenery.
Awesome driving Mr. Slaw...your copilot is doing a grand job feeding you carbs ..think the weather made it more exciting...I think Helga deserves a pint for getting you up there..
Thanks Terry, it was a hairy drive! Clear to set off then we ascended into the cloud. Luckily Slaw is used to this as we live high in the Pennines and low cloud is common for us. Helga was an absolute star! We love her to bits 🤣
Wow! Simon's eyes were on stalks. Half a crown, sixpence springs to mind. I bet you both needed a change of underwear after that. What a challenge. It reminded me of a gated road south out of Dolgellau over Cader Idris towards the coast south of Fairburn. There were about 10 gates that Anne had to open and close as I drove the car through. You wouldn't get you van up there. It was low cloud on the top too. Nothing but us and sheep. Happy days. xx
i know Im asking randomly but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my password. I would love any help you can give me!
@Melvin Rowan I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
You guys are adventuring!! Amazing drive. We drove this road in summer with a golf. And planning another trip with a 6meters motorhomes in December. Do wish the weather bearable.
Excellent videos so far of your trip. I wouldn't want to do the Applecross Pass on my Raleigh Pioneer in poor visibility, too dangerous and uneven. The brakes would wear out. Keep up the good work of producing videos. I come from Silkstone Common which is not far from you.
Was this the worst road throught out the trip? We are planning the NC route and our motorhome is roughly the same size. I see there are plenty of passing places.
Hi Gordon, it was only a problem due to poor visibility. There are lots of passing places and if everyone is courteous and careful it’s fine. The Drumbeg loop was also tight and the road down to Achmelvic beach. They’re all doable though as you can see from our vlogs. Have a great time 🤣

Thank you. As you saw it wasn’t foggy when we set off 🤦🏻♀️
@@TheSlawsAdventures yes you’re correct but it did look low cloud. Anyway you did really well

Thank you Christine! It was a shame we didn’t get the views 😢

It was hairy!
Blimey! Scary or what! Good driving Slaw. Mrs Slaw looked to be on the edge of her seat at times 🥴👏👏👏

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
More fool you
Well you deserve a 10 out of 10 for effort doing that drive. I hope you enjoyed your stiff drink. I think my knuckles were white at some points 🤣👍🏼
It was really hairy in parts 😱

Thanks Andrew, it was hairy! We know Silkstone Common, you’re right not too far from Holmfirth 👍🏻
Not sure I want to do that in the car! Lol Those roads sound like our local roads with all those potholes!
Thank you
Please could you tell me what sort of camera you are using, and the mount on the windscreen? Many thanks - really enjoyed your Vlog!
Hi, the camera is a DJI Osmo Action and I bought the mount from Amazon. Great little camera 👍. Thank you for your kind words.
How long is this actually road Simon, Anne I've never known you be so quiet. ❤❤
11 miles. It was a bit hairy in places 😱

I did in April on my motorbike but unfortunately Motorhomes ruined it for many 💁🏿♂️
You could do with radar
Put your camera down Qually is on The Slaws love a bit of formula one 🤣
Yes we watched it 👍
Wonder how anyone in a motorhome stands if they have a accident regarding insurance .
Never thought about it before ?
Shame you got no views
Thanks for watching Lisa! There’s probably a clause somewhere in policies that don’t cover you for this road. Like the Nurburgring Nordschlief clause!
