WOW the snow is just beautiful, I’m only saying this because I’m a true Florida born and raised gal that has never seen snow in her entire life. Maybe one day I will get to experience snow in real life 🙏🏼❤😊
Stopped by yesterday and met the guys (Matt was out of town), met the dogs, got a tour of the shop and picked up a hat. Had a good time talking about jeeps and other 4 wheelers we have owned and loved. You have a good crew there, Matt.
you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Hayes Harlan i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Looking back, and seeing Grandpa Sherms tow truck then, to what it is now as the Rat Rod Wrecker, what a transformation. This channel has come so far and I am so happy that I found you guys long ago, in a galaxy, not so far away.
Anyone who stops what they are doing and asks the dogs name and pets it for a minute gets a hearty thumbs up from me and then pulls out the car too! Love you, Ed!
What I love about this channel is Matt's off Road Recovery is non judgmental. People out on back roads having fun and then get stuck. It's part of the adventure! Love the videos.........
It looks great, doesn't it?! :D And the best thing is, it seems to be all dirty, Rusty and covered in snow, like some ancient monster. Monster that has been woken up from it's century long sleep :)
When I see this fast motion footage of you driving over slippery clay road my right foot deliberately moves away from gas pedal. And I'm sitting on my chair at home.
Love your videos. Don't sweat the B roll stuff, I like your simple videos. I'm showing all your videos to my kids, hoping they'll learn how to drive in bad conditions. They're all under 10... But I'm starting them early. Keep up the great work!
Your videos are awesome! I'm always amazed at the minds that take small vehicle like the vw and think "oh yes" we can make it down this muddy country road. Love your crew.
It's amazing how much it snows in Utah. I've just assumed it was desert and never thought it snowed. It's really educational to see weather changes in same day so different in different areas
I’ve just realised why I enjoy all your videos so much, it’s therapeutic ... It’s a form of stress relief. I’ve been stuck a couple of times here and there, and it’s a very stressful situation, so I can relate to your customers feelings.. and when you get them out it makes me smile.. And please don’t buy a winch!!
watching all these videos, makes me want to quit my laboratory job in the Uk and come work for you, until I eventually set up my own towing company, with the slogan "the British are coming"
now that i have watched all the required episodes, and paid attention to every detail, when can i expect my honorary towing, recovery and 4x4 driving degree?
I couldn’t believe it, I have been watching Matt’s channel for 6 months now and today I realize I was not subed to the channel 🤦🏼♂️ I get more suggestions for Matt then almost any other channel, I’m so flabbergasted!
That old Chevy wrecker sounded like it started on 3 cylinders! Once it got running it was pretty unstoppable though. Sketchiest thing I have seen it a while but that is why I loved it! Awesome episode!
Matt - You live in Utah, and I live in North Dakota.... You guys get way more snow in a storm that we do. However, it gets much colder here.... -50F is not uncommon at all here haha. Keep up the great videos!
So on your time off you tow with a square body with a 1950s tow rig on the back, dedication. A cardboard box is great for the dirty straps, just toss it when it is bad. That was a nice Impala, a friend had one like it, spent a little time in the back seat with my girlfriend. Nice mix great video, you had Ed and the dogs always makes me happy to see them. Be Safe!
‘People that keep there cars clean, this makes them cringe 😬 We wait for them to dry out and the wind to blow the dust away!’ ~ Such a classic ‘JEEP OWNERS’ quote ❤️👍🏻
raised out west now living in fla... still own a 4x4... never relieved till now how much I use to love playing in the snow... keep up the good work... p.s. stop saying "it's mostly a stock jeep... just saying...
That old GMC reminds me of how I cut my teeth in the towing world many, many years ago. It was an early 80s 3/4 ton 2wd with a slide in wrecker. Towing all the old 70s sedans meant a lot of bump steering - turn the wheel a bit, tap the brakes so the front came down enough to put pressure on the tires, and go the direction they were turned. Ah, the good old days. Love the. Channel Matt. Keep it going, and stay safe.
I see a lot of people running their mouths but it’s all apart of the adventure. I’ve owned cars and took them off road when I was bored. It’s damn good to see people getting out, exploring and learning valuable recovery lessons if they pay attention.
I apologize for the negative comment. I saw your recovery of the guy in the sand. I learned that it hinders your trucks effective- ness in pulling if the wheels aren't straight. [It's just not conducive for customers to read they not only got stuck, they are also hindering their own rescue. 🤔😄
Being from a Southern state, we never see snow like that. Man that is beautiful. I dont think I could live in it but being able to play in it for a day or 2 would be fun.
Matt, love your jeep (lots) but that C/K tow truck was the "bee's knees" if you will. You can let your friend know his truck is awesome, we don't need no spiffy paint jobs around here.
You need to double Ed’s wages. He is the star of the show. Keep the videos coming, they are so much better than main line TV, sports, documentaries, soaps.....
Watching in Nov. 2021, digging the snow (hope we get a bunch in the Sierras this winter) You folks could make a video about sweeping the shop and taking out the trash and I will watch it and give a thumbs up... It's always enjoyable to watch other people living and working in Nature.
I came by this channel by accident and can't stop watching these video's.. You got some great places to go to in your area.. I am watching allot of the videos in random order with older and new stuff in between.. one thing I don't get is HOW is it possible to snow in a place as hot as that? We have very Similar areas in South-Africa, it only gets "cold" in the semi and desert regions, but never Snow.. "it looks so fluffy i can die". I have a Samurai in the same yellow.. Those yellow Yunkum ropes would fit nicely with it's recovery kit as well
Nice! I go camping for a couple days a month this time of year here in Florida and this is the second month in a row I get home to find a couple of these videos waiting when I get a chance to hit UA-cam. I'm all about free campsites this year and now I'm wondering if my stock Outback and 5x8 cargo trailer camper would make it to that campsite and back, lol.
Just want to say , great channel Matt.. one thing I thought might help you,is too get some walkie talkies and give one to the customer ,,and you can coach them throughout the recovery..it might help in certain recoveries especially with the long rope recoveries

@Hayes Harlan it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
@Bowen Rey happy to help =)
Sometimes words don't say enough . I want you to know how much I appreciate your hard work on the videos. So keep on keeping on 😁👍
I feel the same way... Matt's a stud and extremely intelligent about his line of work. Love his content
Always cant help but smile when I see Ed come on the camera.
So glad UA-cam is bringing back these older videos.
Looking back, and seeing Grandpa Sherms tow truck then, to what it is now as the Rat Rod Wrecker, what a transformation. This channel has come so far and I am so happy that I found you guys long ago, in a galaxy, not so far away.

Always nice to see Paul!
Love how Ed almost never stays in the car and is always quick to open the back door, my dude always puts a smile on my face
What I love about this channel is Matt's off Road Recovery is non judgmental. People out on back roads having fun and then get stuck. It's part of the adventure! Love the videos.........
that part where he crossed the river towing the impala, ahh so soothing. perfect throttle, just enough to get through, i love it
Love your buddy's off-road wrecker! It didn't even spin a tire....
It looks great, doesn't it?! :D And the best thing is, it seems to be all dirty, Rusty and covered in snow, like some ancient monster. Monster that has been woken up from it's century long sleep :)
I love that old Chevy with the wrecker boom, I’ve always wanted to build one just like that
If anybody would make up a TV show about a offroad recovery team - you couldn't think of a better cast...Matt, Ed, the dogs...love those guys
Ed! Glad to see the ole legend out gettin it done! Damn he’s cool.
When I see this fast motion footage of you driving over slippery clay road my right foot deliberately moves away from gas pedal. And I'm sitting on my chair at home.

Ed's latest t-shirt ( Good Morning, afternoon, What time is it? ) Someone make this man a shirt! LOL
Lol good ol Ed, sounds like a true semi retired guy "good morning, afternoon, what time is it?"
We 'retiredsguys' use our cell phones to tell the time, day & date!!
@@dougbourdo2589 I text my retired friends and ask them what day it is.
Yeah, day of the week is generally a mystery to me without a quick check. And 2pm comes too early...
or a college student during lockdown
and another perfect day, and we got 'em out, nd nobody got hurt :)
It's amazing how much it snows in Utah. I've just assumed it was desert and never thought it snowed. It's really educational to see weather changes in same day so different in different areas
As a Florida native I agree
Liking that guys tow truck and lovin his land...beautiful.
Yeah that’s a great piece of property, looks like heaven
Next time I'm in
Hurricane Utah I will definitely stop by and get a hat.
After watching a few episodes and subscribing, Ole Ed gets my vote as Winder Towing Employee of the year.

Good to see ED out there . It’s amazing how people think free camping is free with out SOME RISK .
That old wrecker is awesome. Im an old school chevy/gmc guy seeing that thing work makes me smile.
They got in there pretty deep with that Jetta lol! I really enjoyed the square body wrecker in the deep snow.👍
It is currently 108 F here in Australia where I am. It is so nice to see the snow. Your mate seems like a nice bloke.
Ed reminds me of my Dad, and just about every old timer I have ever met. God bless him! The world is a better place for him being in it.
watching all these videos, makes me want to quit my laboratory job in the Uk and come work for you, until I eventually set up my own towing company, with the slogan "the British are coming"
its been 6 months, any progress? are you still stuck?
cringe
@@guachingman shit I was high as fuck 6 months ago.
Absolutely love that chevy, we need some more content with it!!
Matt, you are the coolest tow truck driver on this planet!
I agree
I like how you washed your hands with the snow.
Meowcats yes.
In Canada we wipe our butt with snow when we're outside.
@@christophersmith2871 -don't tell an American that - they will believe it!! (it's only in the winter time!)
now that i have watched all the required episodes, and paid attention to every detail, when can i expect my honorary towing, recovery and 4x4 driving degree?
If you love what you do, it's not a job. The best Company, Matt's off Road Recovery. Working hard and having fun. Wish I was there....
Did I just watch every video? Yes. Yes I did. Great group of people, great attitudes! Seriously missing my XJ though, thanks for that!
That wrecker is the real life version of Tow Mater!! Sweet!!!
My cousin had an old 4-door Impala like that for a while. He named it “Grampala.”
that gmc truck was pretty badass. theres one in moab like it but its all dovetailed and chopped up for towing jeeps out when they break
It pulls out all kinds of rigs... Haha.
When you gonna start making Ed shirts and hats......you know, He's my hero.
Wow! That snowy surrounding looks like fun. Beautiful!

I've said this before , I am amazed by how much snow that area can receive.
Hey I almost got my Toyota Camry stuck in that place where the van was. Looking for a place to camp for free. Dang traction control.
Shawn James pull the abs fuse out. Traction disabled for real
That Chevy wrecker sounds amazing. Love the snow vids.
I like how you guys use older equipment and not have all the newer fancy stuff. The good old riggs work great 👍
Matt - You live in Utah, and I live in North Dakota.... You guys get way more snow in a storm that we do. However, it gets much colder here.... -50F is not uncommon at all here haha.

Oh my. If it gets in the 30s here in Tucson I'm bundled up like there is a blizzard outside. Best of luck with that -50, I feel for you.

What a cool truck!
Raw footage videos are my favorite!
Love that "git-er-done" attitude with the old wrecker. Absolutely beautiful country.
What a beautiful campsite the Jetta is stuck in. Boy, that looks like a ton of fun. Mud, snow, freezing weather.

Love the square body beast!
Love that blues whistle in the outro. Very down to earth...like Ed!
Love the time lapse portions of these older videos! Wish you still did them!!

What a cool place to live...all that snow and nice mild weather. When we get snow up here it gets to -40F so you can really enjoy it.
Good stuff good seeing Ed looking good sir you really done right with your business an crew congratulations again as always be safe

and the scenery is always amazing!
Beautiful scenery with the snow!
I have friends that I visit in Hurricane once in awhile during the dry part of the year and I didn't realize how much snow fell during the winter.
People are nuts! The places they try to take cars will never cease to amaze me!
That was hilarious the way you two carried on with each other. I loved it.
I love these videos because of the people, the Yellow Banana and, most of all, the dogs.
Beautiful scenery !!
This one was special to you Matt. We all know how much you love mud ;-) /Sarc

Also, that snow bound tow truck is awesome.
That place with a 74 impala is beautiful. Love Country
