Here I am unboxing the log waited Vitamix 5200 / Turbo Vs! Im so excited. I hope you enjoy this small review and why I choose to purchase it! Im not a professional, just a guy who's about to enjoy this amazing machine :) Why I choose it over the Blendtech
So informative & I just love you're down to earth style. Bonus.....Kitty!!! Makes me laugh & Joe Shmo, you're hilarious without perhaps tying to be. Definately gets me excited to get in the kitchen with my vitamix & make it happen! Love ya, man! & kitty too. Meow.
i love your kitchen orgniazed! and clean, thank you, refreshing to see a video with a nice background.
Thanks for the compliments on the video!!!!! Not offended at all about Lucy jumping on the counters. She actually doesn't jump on the counters until I film something. weird? No... attention getting... yes.. she is a starlet... haha - As you can see my kitchen has is more the minimalists approach, so it is always sanitized. thanks again!
Heyyyyyy, this was awesome! I just subbed ya! I found you through Healthyvegan. This is your first cooking video? Nice job! I think you're going to be good at this ; ) I LOVE healthy recipe videos. Good luck with your channel and diet! Looking forward to more cooking videos = )
Yea you are so right - I had it backwards. But the high RPM for the Blendtec was to pull the food down. The Vitamix is however I think what 9k rpm slower, but the tamper actually gets the food to the blades faster and less food oxidization. thanks so much for posting!
Hey there - Sorry I mention the reasons why I choice. It's basically the speed and tamper. they are both great, but I like the way the tamper works by getting the food down to the blades faster. If there are any particular question you have I'll definitely answer
Please note, the dry blade does a superior job only when blending a large batch, such as two cups at a time. If you blend small amounts of grains at once, the wet blade container does a better job.
I briefly talk about it and of course I did the title for hits. I want people to see this. And my other videos show what the Vitamix can do. Check out my other videos :)
Where did you get your bundle from? I know most places come with only one of the blender cups not two likes yours...
hmmm - I would def. Use a mild soap and blend it for maybe 30 seconds and then wipe it out. I use a tea kettle and boil it, and then pour it in add soap and turn on high for 30 seconds and then wipe out :)
Hey thanks everyone. Thanks for subscribing. And also the comments. I have a lot to thank also in the purchasing the vitamin as well. Megan (easytoberaw) HealthyVegan, and RawBrahs and I can keep going.
@theloserkingdom that is some good info.
@Pip. Thanks and I can wait to do another one. It's quite addicting. So besides my next one on hummus, What other things should I make?
@green - Question goes for you too :)
Sunflower, which has been sold now to Sprouts :)
I love seeing the cat in the video lol
More rpm's also oxidizes your foods. Blendtec has a longer blade + a wider carafe which blends the same amount in less time. Vita mix is a decent blender but Blendtec I think is better.
Try blending white vinegar and water for 30-45 sec's and then plain water for the same amount of time to get rid of or reduce smell.
looking forward to mkore vids
How to get strong smells out of your vitamix?. My lid smells? And my container kinda.
There are different opinions I've heard on the oxidizations of both. the biggest one I have found is time it takes to break down the food into molecular levels. This is be challenge in Terms of how much wider the Blendtec is over the vitamix it's really not that much. The BlendTech uses the funnel technic to drive the food tot he blades, however the tamper with the vitamix gets the foods to the blades faster, so hence break it down faster, which equals less oxidization. Just my thoughts.
I got it from an lady at vitamix who doesnt work there any longer. I would ask whoever at Vitamix if they will throw in the Dry Goods Carafe and the other RAW book! My mom always said is the worst thing you can hear is no :)
Vitamix suggests blending a peeled lemon in it with hot water; vinegar can be too corrosive.

Where'd you get all that food for $33?
I own both Blendtec and Vitamix and I'm happy to tell you you're wrong. Vitamix blends much better overall. Blendtec has some work to do still. Bought the Blendtec first, kept it past my return period. Tried to convince myself that it was the best until I bought the Vitamix. No contest. Vitamix smokes the crap out of Blendtec. I always have small bits of food left over on Blendtec, never on Vitamix.
seems a bit biased of an aproach towards vitamix. You dont even unbox the fetures of the blendtec or show it.
Shuddup!
@AF0093 take it as Costco.
How is it none of his business? Consumers are entitled to decide what matters to them about a company and its products.
10 dates..? DurianRider is gonna rip u a new one.....hahah :)
Who wants to have to worry about standing over and tampering down their food(which is not always effective) every time they have to use a blender when they could be preparing or doing something else. With the blendtec's design everything falls to the bottom like it should and processes evenly.
Same with the vitamix. Some ingredients and recipes do need it such as ice cream and peanut butter. Blendtec aknowledged it and made a special carafe to be able to do what you can with the vitamix with only the tamper.
is all that organic ????? if is not u r kind of defeating the pourpose of being healthy?????
I like your video, very informative but don't take this too personally but while I am an animal lover as I have dogs I don't understand people allowing their cats to jump up on the kitchen counter. This leaves pet hair in the kitchen around the food, just saying.
i own none of the machines and i am also in dilemma which one to buy as both the machine cost the same where i live... so i am not biased.. but is it me or anyone else thinks that you are promoting vitamix ? any which ways.. a cheeky video..thumbs down.. no worth while information..
blendtec is better
Hope you wash your counters before preparing food on it...with that cat walking all over it.
So much plastic for the fruits and vegetables. =/
subscribe is up top, sorry
LOL. You haven't seen the new generation Vitamix machines have you? Obviously. The new carafes are wider and shorter to fit under cabinets. Plus the VM's new wider container is superior to Blendtec. Sorry, Blendtec is not better. That's a laugh. I bought the new Designer Series. Always left small chunks of fruit after blending. Took it back and got a Vitamix. Blends perfectly every time. You Blendtec fanboys spend too much time convincing yourself that BT is better. It's second behind Vitamix.
Vita Mix infringed upon Blendtec's patents and essentially ripped Blendtec off off their own technology.
Vita Mix therefore loses in any regard.
Oh, and your video was 10 minutes of you blabbering on and you didn't show me anything except unbox your new blender manufactured by a company of thieves.
You're not ready for prime time, 'dude'.....Yeccch.
Dude get a life. It's honestly none of your business about some silly lawsuit. As customers all anyone should be concerned about is the product you're buying, not focusing on two large companies fighting in court over a damn blender jar. Get over it. Just the fact that you even mentioned it just shows that you don't even know all the details. It had nothing to do with Vitamix's home blenders and it was only one jar out of the 6 different jars Vitamix makes. Shuddup about it.
