Kevin is awesome. I loved his work with The Storm and with a great group called 707. Listen to some of their tunes, especially from the Megaforce album. It is amazing that he still can sing so high, even Steve Perry can't sing this high anymore due to throat issues.
Kevin's been in many bands over the years, including Journey, take a look at his resume sometime. He's always had one helleva set of pipes! I know all these dudes. All great musicians but more importantly, great people! These guys have been around the block a time or two. They're seasoned to say the least & really know their stuff. Keep on ROCKIN' guys! Love it!
Kevin is more than a "Tribute" singer ......his band the Storm formed with 3 former members of Journey Josh Ramos, Valkyrie, and Greg Rolie ........ In 1994 He was Frontman for Journey in Steve Perry's absence ....... He was considered to be IN before the Current guy was discovered ....... But had and has a lot of groups going on under his label Clique Records for one ...... The Storm along with Voicesofrockradio.com just to name a Few ...... Voices is SuperStar Group made of many AOR LEAD Singers from 80's Groups ...... example.... Began with "Jimi Jamison, Derek St. Holmes, Kevin Chalfant, Wally Palmar, John Cafferty, Don Barnes, John Elefante' & The Fly2Fr33dom Band" Jimi Jamison has died and other Lead Singers with other groups are on stage when available like from Deep Purple, Randal Hall and many others like I said when available ....... Kevin Chalfant is a friend and One of the most humble rock musicians there is ........ He treats people like people as his band The Storm does as well .......
@@WWARD4911 Early 70's (not sure what year) , Kevin was 17 at Streator High in Illinois. He was a roadie for a band that I played drums in (for a few months, I was older than the other band members, they just wanted me to fill a void while they found a different guy). He sang a few songs with the band too, but did not play an instrument, so was an extra when bands were not paid much. He was a good kid then, worked hard. What a fine result that he was able to make the big time.
This dude should be the front man for Journey right now, because although Arnel has a great voice and talent, he just doesn't sound like "Journey". IMO, of course!
