Rain mode and put it on manual so the bike doesn't shift. Saw it on another video. He was going 12 to 15 MPH

Good to know! I've got the NC750x dct and doing u-turns is difficult for me.

@@WheelsNotHeelsI collected my brand new NC750X DCT yesterday and felt great at normal road speeds, but felt really awkward at low speed too, couldn’t u-turn without putting a foot down, so I need to practice too!

@Victor Chetta Yeah! Congrats! Yes, definitely need lots of parking lot practice. And putting it in Rain mode and manual does help. 👍 Have fun!

Isn't that what I'm doing? Same principles apply!

Watch Motojitsu turn the DCT Gold Wing like a ballet performer. He never rode the bike prior to the video. He used a technique he’s practice with on other bikes. He gets his body out on the edge saddle in his counter steering technique.

watch fortnine video about police bike training. Lots of good info for low speed control. But of course DCT makes it trickier, I just got a ctx700 dct and am still getting used to slow speed turns.

@motodiaries Apologies for probably asking a very basic question. I just bought a DCT bike (honda nc750x dct) as my first bike. I am having a lot of trouble doing tight turns at slow speed. Any kind of tips would be great as this topic is stressing my health away.

The best suggestion I have is to watch the videos. The main thing is to practice. I use rain mode to soften the throttle response and put it in manual mode so the trans doesn’t shift while you’re maneuvering.

@@motodiaries8204 Thank you sooooo much for the fast and practical / actionable response. It helps so much to have some clear tips. I will focus on practicing in rain mode, on manual / first gear. You're life saver. This topic has been stressing the heck out of me and I've been barely sleeping 2-3h a night for the last 3 weeks.

@@KostasEleni-lx5lt Don’t worry too much! Take your time and slowly work on tightening your turns over time. Keep enough speed to help stabilize the bike and counterbalance by shifting your weight to the outside of the turn. Good luck!

I watched all of your videos about this tight u-turns and I didn’t see you using the counter steering so the bike would dip into the turn.

Countersteering is pretty much unconscious for me. You can't turn a bike without doing it but I'm not thinking about it, especially at these speeds.

Don’t understand why you have a problem with low speed control of the DCT, put the rain mode on, bring revs to about 1500 or so and control the forwards motion with the footbrake, you need to forget about feathering the clutch, the DCT renders this unnecessary
