Kim, a long time watcher here… you don’t owe anyone a response about your sister.
In practically every dang video, you make a reference of your amazing sister. Those of us who watch you, know the references and tear up with you.
Keep being you. Take the trip. Live the life. Look out for those cardinals ❤

@@KS-un3piI love this! We collect antiques, and I use many of them daily! I had a visitor not too long ago say “I can’t believe you use that!” Well? Why wouldn’t I use it! Totally agree, I lost my brother in 2013 I think about him all the time and I can guarantee someone in the family will talk about him atleast once a day. I don’t understand the person that said it doesn’t affect Kim even said that, how on earth would they know we watch a very small snippet of Kim’s life (amazing snippets) obviously you wouldn’t show it in all your videos. Oh the tears listening to you talk about Tina. Losing someone you love never gets easy. Life continues but with a big hole in your heart. I have been rewatching your older videos and just got to the one where you explained that she was sick and you were shopping for things to make her hospital stay more comfortable. Broke my heart watching because I knew the pain you’d soon be facing. I pray daily for your family, and those that loved Tina, even tho I don’t know you in “real life”. Remembering how she was there with the children when you went into labor with the next, and how she had passed before Wolfgang, heart breaking 💔

    Kim!
I’m getting ready to turn 61 at the end of this month, raised two nice young men, married 35 years to an amazing hubby and absolutely LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! I love your energy, attitude, loving demeanor & positive parenting style, and the fact that you realize and acknowledge that time is fleeting. Your comment about carrying two kids and all the things and passing the two older ladies on the beach, really hit home! I did the best I could during the child rearing years, and wish I had taken more moments to savor the chaos of those days. Now a new grandma to a very sweet & oh so energetic little boy, I am doing better at soaking it in. You are a huge ray of sunshine & happy in my life & I feel so blessed to be able to watch you grow with the family. You always spark so much joy I am sometimes moved to tears. ❤ Stay well, thank you & God Bless You!❤ You are made for exactly what you do in this world for me & “obviously” so many other friends & viewers. ❤

So glad you talked about children growing into new chapters that are also amazing. A friend of mine once said that parents should try to love their child. I think that's true. It's an active choice to choose to love your child at each stage, just like you choose to love your spouse every day. Its not always easy and doesnt always come naturally (as we expect it to) but there are beautiful parts to each stage of life your child is in.

Thank you for saying what you did about kids. So many people that I have personally had conversations with complain and talk about how they yell at their kids because they have moods or “take work”. But they are acting the same way. I feel like so many parents have this idea that kids are little “robots “ but they are humans too with real emotions and their own personalities. It’s our job to help guide them by our actions and help them work through it. If you look at them as a burden then they will be, if you look at them as a blessing then they will be. Also, you are a product of your association so your kids learn most from their parents, they are a reflection of us. There’s so many good things that come with having children if you choose to see them!

Firstly, I would like to say sorry for that person's comment about your sister. That's really deplorable. I think all rude and judgemental comments on creators content is just completely unnecessary but that person has just stooped atrociously low and has absolutely no right to pass judgement on the subject. Secondly, on a much brighter happier note; I am a HUGE fan of all of your content. I am a long time watcher and subscriber. I first started out just watching your food prep/cooking videos and now it doesn't matter what you post, I know whatever it may be that you choose to film I AM going to enjoy it because it truly does feel like hanging out with a friend. The question about does it get easier as kids get older. I have 5 kids also ages 23,22,20,17,15…the physical exhaustion gets better, the mental exhaustion gets a bit harder as they get older and become more independent. But the joy and satisfaction of seeing your children become adults and seeing all that hard work you put into raising them paying off makes it feel easier. It’s all worth it to watch your kids become happy productive caring adults. The teenage/early 20s has by far been my favorite part of parenting.

I know I’m late to this video, but the comment about your sister really hurt my heart and I could see it in your eyes how hurt you were. I lost my cousin in 2002 who was more like a brother to me than my actual brother and I still think about him constantly. Do I talk about him all the time? Of course not. I was 14 when he passed so most of my close friends, my husband, my kids, my in-laws… they don’t know him. And sometimes it hurts less to NOT bring him up to people who don’t understand but especially not to strangers. You don’t owe your viewers a single aspect of your life and we should be grateful for any part that you allow us a glimpse of. We love you, Kim. Thank YOU for being a friend.
