1000% need to watch the rest of the LA adaptation BUT from what we watched so far and the reviews or reactions online. Everyone seems to agree that this Netflix LA adaptation is really good!
That's what EVERYONE says! After seeing this live adaptation though, it's a done deal. We're hooked! We will definitely start the anime after we finish the Netflix adaptation
@AstroKrushReactions Yeah, I like the adaption quite a lot, too. It's definitely worth watching as well. They really want to be faithful to the source as much as possible and are very respectful of Eiichiro Oda. It's possible Netflix greed or something else could ruin the show at some point, but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.
Take note, the series literally said that devil fruit users CAN'T SWIM. ....but Shanks swam to save Luffy, meaning whatever he did, it was NOT a devil fruit, but something else entirely.
10:30 In the manga, there's actually a character that takes the wanted photos of the pirates lol. And sometimes he messes up while doing it so they have to use hand drawn paintings instead. It's so funny
@AstroKrushReactions He's mentioned once or twice in the anime I think. But we never see him. But in one of the manga volume extras, Oda actually drew a sketch of him
Hey you know that Spongebob Squarepants moment where he goes against Poseidon in that burger-making contest? Spongebob was just treating his burger like a beloved child and Poseidon was churning out a pyramid of them, but in the end Sponge's burger won because of how much love and care he put into it. That's how OPLA stacked up against Cowboy Bebop and anything Disney did in recent memory.
Great analogy! The Netflix live adaptation is amazing so far! We love it so much we will start watching the anime after we finish this LA! Thank you for watching along! We appreciate you 🙏
One piece is intimidating, but that’s only in the beginning. Once you really get into it, 1100 episodes isn’t enough. Regarding Shanks, you see the sea beast snap at him shortly before he does the eye thing and tells him to get lost. That’s when he lost his arm. Also it should be noted that in the original anime, Shanks was actually in the water when he did that, not in a boat.
Great point out! I'm so curious about Shanks situation! I'm hoping they show more of him and a back story to him further. If not, I'm sure he'll be in the anime! When we watch something, we WATCH something. When we get to the anime I know we're going to binge it! 😂
I gotta say, I hadn't watched the anime before the live action, and because I watched this show, I decided to start the anime - and we are on episode 700 and something - we started about 4 months ago 😅 The journey is so fucking worth it! So if you guys have time, you should eventually watch the anime. But yes, this live action adaptation is epic and very well done so far.
We definitely plan to watch the anime after we finish this Netflix adaptation. Although, whether we react to that or just watch it on our own is to be determined 😂 you're not wrong though! The series is great so far!
Season 2 just wrapped filming, and are in the editing phase. Season 3 will likely begin filming before season 2 comes out. The first season basically covers the East Blue saga, while season 2-3 will cover the Alabasta Saga. At the end of season 3, the live action will have reached the equivalent of Episode 135 of the anime.
I've been watching one piece every week for over 20 years! The live action was so much fun! A lot of cheering and a lot of tears! Can't wait for season 2!❤
Oh! That's such a long time! I bet it was such an awesome experience when it first came out! Hopefully we're all caught up on the Netflix adaptation and the anime by the time season 2 comes out!
@@AstroKrushReactions You'll only have to to get to about episode 100 or so of the anime to be ahead of where season 2 will take us seems like. Thanks for this awesome reaction. I'm a new subscriber.
But if you want I can give you advice to help you develop your channel while respecting your DNA of course I have a master's degree in digital marketing and I can give you Ideas and advice to help you and it's free we have the spirit of Luffy we help everyone
So far the show is amazing! After we complete this LA adaptation, we're going straight to the anime! Thank you so much for watching btw! We appreciate you! 🙏
The Live Action is a good LA adaptation because they did what they could withthe limited time and the number of episodes they can cover. They were limited by the budget but also limited by having to cover a saga’s story within 8-10 episodes in the live action. So obviously they would have had to get rid of some side characters and blended some events into one episode, etc. Some fans may not have liked some things that got tweaked and cut out but the LA still pretty much kept 80% of the chronological events as it was shown in the original. More importantly however one main reason for fans really liking this adaptation is they kept the ESSENCE of One Piece where the comedy and ‘goofiness’ mixes with the brutality of the OP world without much explanation. The showrunners and some people behind the live action are also big big fans of OP and it shows. While other live action adaptations MESS with the originals, that’s not what happened with OP live action adaptation. They had OP creator, Oda himself handle some decisions and handpicked the cast too.
Yeah! You can definitely tell the people behind the show really knew what they wanted to do and you can see that they actually cared about the anime. We really enjoy this series so far! Can't wait to start watching the anime.it is a little intimidating considering the amount of episodes there is. But, in time wellyget through it and be caught up with everyone else! One Piece is amazing!
I started one piece anime because of the LA and i was caught up in less than 6 months! People say its long but when youre caught up you feel like its not enough! We dont want it to ever end! It can be daunting, but enjoy every moment of it, coz you will feel empty when you finally become a weekly watcher!!! Lol. We all wish we can forget ever watching and just experience it all over again, coz its that good! Have fun on your OP journey!!
Isn't that the truth! 😂 That's how it always goes with shows and anime. You'll start it and watch the entire thing then feel sad you watched it all. Thank you so much for tagging along and watching with us!
@AstroKrushReactions we'll be here :) but fair warning, OP fans can be very... passionate. Pls pls.. get a moderator. I can already see some spoilers in the comments. One of Oda's magic is worldbuilding and foreshadowing. Dont let spoilers take away your surprise and enjoyment. We appreciate the engagement, though!! So excited for you!
Shanks loses his arm when the seaking lunged at them after he saved little Luffy on the boat. As a long time manga/anime fan, I gave this show an 8.5/10, but I also think it gets more enjoyable upon rewatching and finding Easter eggs and figuring out why they must've made certain changes they made and how that could affect later events. From what I've seen, it really holds well on its own, without getting new viewers lost on plot and world-building. It's also kind of funny to see how many anime reactors are anime-only fans, as some scenes of the LA follow the manga in places the anime doesn't. I also really appreciate the community the LA is building and want to warn off new audiences from checking out any of the actors' socials or interviews, as a few of them are VERY spoilery.
The live action introduced me to the One Piece world, and I started the anime afterwards just to keep the adventure going. This season covers about 60 anime episodes.
On a side note, the series is still ongoing. It is not yet known if Shanks is the final boss or not, but the theory is a valid possibility. Out of the options, I can see three options, Shanks being one of them. The other two.... well, won't name names, but the marines serve the World Government, and what rules that is one of the three options for final boss. And the third option is a rival pirate just as charming as Luffy while being opposite in every other facet that also seeks to become pirate king. So, final boss options: mentor, ruler, or hated rival. It'll be one of the three.
At the stage of the second episode, she wasn’t a traitor. She had no loyalty as she wasn’t in Luffy’s crew. She and Zoro are basically just doing their own thing, but it aligns with Luffy so they may as well stick around.
I love the live action. it's not perfect, but as someone both watches and reads one piece, I'd say it's an amazing start. If you like the live action, then yall love anime ❤
I kind of love and hate the fact that people think Buggy is like the Joker, when he's absolutely not. Buggy is a self serving bastard, but would never harm you if he likes you. Buggy was absolutely using Orange town as an explosives testing ground. Buggy's personality is "explosive", short fused if you will. Buggy is also a bit aimless at this point in the story, simply venting his frustrations. Buggy's character is portrayed very well in the LA. While Luffy and Shanks feel a bit too tame for me (they lack a bit of mania, come across a bit too soft). Luffy and Buggy are suppossed to parallel and oppose each other more. Watch out potential spoilers VVV. and speculation.VVV The Buggy and Shanks dynamic/rivalry is very fun to me. And I love how at this point Buggy projects his issues with Shanks on Luffy. But i'm also of the opinion that Shanks sees himself and Buggy in Luffy. Buggy did say his crew would be better than Shanks (Will it be....maybe with how things are going in manga). He called Shanks a weakling and coward (called out his bullshit), did stupid shit to prove himself brave/accidentaly eating a Devilfruit. and begged to be brought along to find the One Piece. Buggy is the type to call out peoples bullshit even to his own detriment at times. He's going to speak his mind. Buggy's point of view is almost always feelings based. He Feels Betrayed by Shanks (a promise not kept). He feels unloved and abandoned. Honestly I think he's justified in feeling that way eventhough it's partly his own fault (his own pride). Buggy is always very honest about his feelings/motivation.....not the facts, though. While I think Shanks speaks facts or acts mysterious, and never revealing his true feelings/motivation.
Well said my friend! The joke comment is only first impressions based on looks. But, we need to see more of him to determine what his actual personality is like. I'm hoping they show him more in the LA adaptation! If not, that's okay... we'll see him again once we finish the 8 episodes on Netflix and jump over to the Anime! He did seem like a quite complex character though, from first impressions at least.
Thank you very much for watching along with us btw! We started the channel with older classic scifi horror movies, which is fine. But we LOVE anime. So we thought you ourselves.. "why not just react to what we love" and here we are reacting to One Piece.
I already subscribed and give your video a like. It was a fantastic video, great reactions. I'm definitely going to enjoy watching you guys all the way through this journey. Welcome to the world of one piece. It's my absolute favorite anime ever And you're in store for a lot of awesome storytelling. When they first announced this live action, I was super skeptical, because I didn't think live action animes ever did well. And then I used to always say, especially a anime, like one piece, it's too crazy. There's no way they could do this justice until I saw the video of one of the showrunners meeting a bunch of The onepiece youtubers and telling his story of when he met. Oda, asking for permission to do the live action. Right there, I saw that it was in good hands, at least somebody else who loved and understood the anime. And also pulled us that the creator ota was working alongside with the showrunners to cast and make choices throughout all of this season. So I felt better about it still wasn't completely sold. I guess, but then I met the the actors who were going to portray my straw hats and omg was pretty much sold on luffy right off the bat. And the rest of them seemed absolutely solid as well. Like the actress who plays nammy. She loves the anime and Manga. Which she had made a video where she stated that she would love to play nammi in a live action adaptation, so it's really cool that she got her dream role. And then the guy who plays zoro. Found out he's a son of a legend. When it comes to stuntman choreography, I believe, and he's already got quite a bit of credit before this role. And he's also somebody who knew the anime end had thought before he had to be Zorro, if there ever was alive adaptation. And about the episode count per episode, right now, I can't remember off top, but it is several episodes in one episode. I believe the first 47 or maybe 37I don't remember, I think it's 37 episodes of the anime are adapted in these 8 episodes of live action. But the thing about this live action that probably is the best thing that the adaptation does better than The anime is pacing. I love the anime, but the pacing is pretty bad. Although I've rewatched quite a bit of it a couple times so yeah, I've been following this adaptation. From the beginning grew more and more sure that they were going to give us something great, as I saw more and more behind the scenes stuff, these actors are awesome together. They really are a crew. But I was also still saying season one was probably going to be the easiest to do an adaptation of the 1 piece anime. It's after this, where it's gonna be a lot tougher. But at this point I believe they can handle it, and I can't wait for the next season. Another cool titbit. I want to share about the live action. Adaptation is if you watch it in the Japanese dub, it's the original Japanese cast voicing them from the anime which I think is awesome although I'm blind so I don't watch anime in Japanese because I can't read subtitles. But I still thought that was really cool and amazing.❤❤
I’m so excited to see the rest of the shows reaction from you guys. I got into one piece because of this show and I’m on ep 340something in the anime it’s worth watching it if you guys want to watch it. It seems like a lot of episodes but honestly I think there could be more lol. And. Live action adaptions whatever curse they have this one didn’t go through that. It’s phenomenal
Thank you so much for tagging along with us! We appreciate you, the show is amazing! We look forward to seeing the rest of the Netflix adaptation and jumping over to the anime afterwards! We'll post the next 2 episodes today! 🙏
After watching the LA, I read a comment that said "watch the anime but in a manner that you want to enjoy the adventure, not to conquer the whole series" and yes, I decided to watch it on my own pace, it took me a long time (now I'm at Thriller Bark and still have a looong way to go) but it is worth it!! So, if you decide to watch the anime, please enjoy it however you want, in your own pace. One Piece is about the fun of the adventure, it's not a race ❤
100% even if we wanted to go through it quickly it would be impossible given there's so many episodes! 😂 It's more so how to do it in a way that makes sense if we wanted to post it online. That part we are unsure of yet. Are you enjoying it so far?
@AstroKrushReactions it has been fantastic! I think I've never cried this much watching anime. It's much more complex and emotional. And the pacing isn't great tho, but I think this slow burn-y is what makes the story have such depths. The first 100 eps might be too slow for you (it's an old OLD anime, you know), but trust me it gets good the more eps you watch!
😂 that's wild that some people didn't know at least SOMETHING about it! We do love anime and watch all kinds of anime and collect figurines. We just both never actually say down to watch one piece. Knew of him but that's it
10:30 **kinda not really a spoiler** You'd think a guy who goes up to many powerful and dangerous pirates would be some buff soldier or something, but no, it's a dude named Attach. He kinda looks like a really skinny white suburban dad with a mustache. He only appeared once in the manga/anime, but he's pretty cool in my opinion.
One piece isn't just getting redrawn, it's getting entirely remade. New voice actors, new music, new animation, new STUDIO. It's not even made by the same people lol.
And brothers, believe me when I say that this is nothing. The second season is coming with more things, more pirates and more plot, and it has everything to be at the level of Game of Thrones.❤
I don't doubt it even the slightest bit! Hoping that we will be able to finish the anime by the time the season 2 live action comes out to be completely caught up with you all!
From the 4 episodes we watched so far, we love this show. We will post the reaction in 2s then jump to watch the anime. We appreciate you for clicking on the video and watching along with us! ☺️
Netflix plans to release the new animated version of The One Piece, probably around the end of this year. The original anime is terrific, but it has some issues. It started in 1999, so some of the animation looks dated. Because it kept catching up to the manga, there's a lot of filler and padding. The new version, starting as the manga is entering its final saga, won't have those problems. If you can wait, it will save you some of the frustrations. But, the Toei version has some amazing moments despite the other flaws. In either case, if you stick with it through about 300 episodes, you'll be hooked. It's one of the greatest stories ever told.
If you want to watch the show and then watch the anime for similarities that'd be fantastic. You can also just stop when you catch up to where the live show is (though most people end up being curious to continue xD )
As soon as we finish the Netflix live adaptation we're going straight to the Anime! Show is great! Also thank you for watching along! We appreciate you 🙏
The first season of the live action covers around 80% of what is the prologue of the story which focuses on the initial gathering of the pirate crew that is the focus of the story. The OPLA folks made a fair number of changes but they mostly fit the spirit of the story quite well. If it ever feels basic to you, it is because these arcs (as well as the next one) are mainly about introducing you to the basic concepts of the world, where it is the way of thinking / morality, basic world concepts (like superpowers or the lay of the land) as well some of the big organizations that play a role. Season 2 is where things will come slightly together but still consists of a few different stories, season 3 is likely going to be a good finale all focusing on a single story line, season 4 is likely going to be its own thing, and season 5 or even 6 will likely cover the arc that transformed One Piece from a good story to the massive monster that has come to rise above all others. This does not mean earlier arcs are bad, btw. It is just that that arc is universally beloved, whereas others may be more subjective and up for debate. In general One Piece tends to just 'get better' the further you get into it. It is one mans life's work, and you can see his storytelling develop. Early on, it is a lot of small arcs. Then some larger arcs. And eventually, there is the point where everything you've read turns out to be connected in various ways because the author loves to sit on little factoids and revelations for hundreds of chapters before actually smashing you in the head with them while you lament the fact all the hints were there all the time. For as far the live action getting dropped goes, I think the biggest dangers are both in getting through the early seasons (which are good but always limited by the source material), the budgets (being based in a visual medium and crafted by an author who has a very imaginative and comedic art style, One Piece is a huge resource hog in terms of sets and CGI) and the show taking too long to the point the age of the actors becomes an issue. Also the adaptation of the story itself may be an issue: season one roughly covers 50 chapters in 8 episodes, and in the process trims down to an insane degree where at least one story isn't as good as it could be due to changes they felt necessary. (But it's still okay!) Please enjoy your journey in this world. It is one like no other!
Thank you so much for this! VERY insightful and useful for us newbies! The Netflix live adaptation is amazing so far so we can only imagine how great the anime will be when we jump into that afterwards! Thank you for watching along as well, we really do appreciate you!
I know that feeling TOO well! 😂 You become so involved or passionate about something and just want to talk to someone about it! On the plus side, after we finish this Netflix adaptation, we will jump over to super binge the anime!
@@AstroKrushReactions We all want that! Imaging us long year fans waiting several years just to see him for about 10 minutes and then wait some years again xD
We love this Netflix adaptation. We have obviously heard of One Piece and knew it had a HUGE following but, I think the 1100 episodes became a little overwhelming. But we are definitely into it and invested now! So the anime will come after we finish this Netflix adaptation
@@AstroKrushReactions You guys won't regret getting into the anime, yes it is LOOOOOONG but soon you'll find yourselves not wanting to stop watching, it's that good!. BTW I recommend the Japanese with eng subs, it's far better than eng dub.
The LA covers up to the first 45 episodes of the anime. Just like the manga and anime, the LA is not an exact copy of the story. It's really cool seeing the differences between each medium but also seeing how they still stay true to the source! For example, the situation where Luffy eats the devil fruit is different between all three but still comes off as something Luffy would do! 😊 OP is an amazing piece of work that just gets better the further you get.
Are you guys gonna upload binged episodes?? I'd be happy to watch a compilation, re-binge-watch with you 😊 For the live action adaptation, One Piece was the last in my list to see succeed. It was one of those supposed to be 'unadaptable' shows. But this worked!
Since the episodes are so short, we were considering starting the anime and reacting to 4 or so episodes at a time and post on here. We would love to watch along with you! We appreciate you 🙏
@AstroKrushReactions You're welcome! Do keep in mind, SOME episodes and pacing may be slow in between arcs but the one piece journey as a whole is super well worth it! If you're concerned about views or stuff like that, just know that people appreciate the consistent/scheduled uploads more, don't force yourselves to catch up, we will get to ep 1100+ eventually 😊
While there are changes from the anime (this series was actually based on the manga and not the anime), the casting of the main characters was solely up to the writer of the manga (Oda). Even the regular and side characters were amazingly cast in my opinion. While I'm only 500+ episodes in, the first season covers around the first 70 or so episodes.
The first season is only about 50 episodes plus some side stuff from episodes in the 300's. They did a really good job of condensing things and giving nods to the things they skipped. I don't think there is anything left out so far that will impact the future except maybe one character but they can work around it and I have a theory as to why they didn't include him. They did add some stuff in early which I didn't love only because I really liked how they revealed it in the anime but it doesn't ruin the show in any way. You do see Shanks in the anime every couple hundred episodes lol but only for brief periods of time. Although it seems like a lot of episodes they will fly by and you won't notice, especially once they actually get to the grand line and new world. The bad guys get tougher and the world building is awesome. I highly recommend it.
Yeah, we cannot WAIT to start watching the anime! Even though there's 1100 episodes. That's okay! We're still down, the live adaptation is really well done, honestly! So I can imagine the anime being just as good if not better! Hoping to see more of Luffy and Shanks dynamic or relationship. I feel like there is something there to be discovered.
Great Question! We're working on a patreon to be able to post everything that we can't on YT! Coming soon! Thank you so much for watching along with us! We appreciate you! 🙏
For the record, berrie, which is their currency, is mostly based off yen from the 90s. It's about 100 yen to a dollar or so. Somewhere around there, it's closer to 1:150 now. So a million is about 100,000 dollars or so from then. Maybe about 6,666 ish. So let that be your average for determining things from here on.
Thank you so much for clearing that up! We were so curious about how that all worked and didn't want to search anything just in case they were going to explain it in the show.
@@AstroKrushReactions Nah, it's just assumed that people know it's yen. They don't really explain things in some cases. The show is very long so it's kind of just a thing that's not -very- important, but it sure is relevant. The bounties are a staple, and money is something that will come up quite often in this show.
Just a heads up, if a character is a devil-fruit user, the series will state it. Otherwise, just assume it's an overly strong character, LOL! I love seeing people who have had no contact with the manga/anime watching the live action, it is a certainly goofy story, but an enjoyable one. Loved the reaction!
Also, as a huge fan of the original story, i did have a good time watching the live-action, although there were some changes that did not sit well with me. But it was good nonetheless!
It's a really good adaptation and intro to the world of One Piece but for time sake lot of little things and subtlety are being left out. The anime and especially the manga have actually a lot of show don't tell and each scene usually convey a lot of the characters mindset and personality. Some scenes missing from the live action therefore simplify the characterisation of some characters down the line. But it's still very good and the Great thing unique to the LA is that it can integrate a lot of references and foreshadow especially in the set designs
Would you say the live adaptation left out A LOT of vital parts from the anime, or is it just small things here and there. We still want to finish this Netflix adaptation and then move over to the anime. One Piece is amazing 🤩
@AstroKrushReactions If you watch the LA then move to the anime then it's no problem ^^ But yeah quite a lot of thing go away to slim it down to a 8 ep show format. One of One Piece great strength is it's lenghth. Like Ima be vague but one scene that gets cuts that may seem small is one character that sees another's fight. You would think well this character does nothing in the scene so we can cut it and they do in the Live action BUT the character was actually deeply moved by the determination and it explained his actions later. So I really liked the Live action don't get me wrong they did their best to adapt and keep as much as possible the vibe of the show. But when you do some digging the characters especially 2 of the main cast gets a bit castaway from their own story arc. But I feel it's nice to begin with the LA and then while watching the anime getting more information and being like " oh I have more puzzle pieces I get it better now" I hope this answers your question 😀
Hi, I really appreciated your reactions. To answer you, the anime One Piece is better because we have more details on the story and the characters. Let me know that the 8 episodes represent, I believe, the first 50 episodes of the anime One Piece. For me, who watches a lot of shows like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Naruto, DBZ..., One Piece is the best story that I can discover. Yes, it is long, but it is because the stories are so good that it takes time to create a perfect story. And you can watch One Piece at your own rhythm. The more you learn, the more you want to see it-it's the magic of One Piece. You must not forget that it came out in 1999 and it's still not finished, fortunately. You should know that there are many problems in One Piece which reflect our world: crime, corruption, murder, rape, kidnapping, manipulation, politics, cultural and historical issues, genocide, slavery, pedophilia, censorship, mental torture, or physics.... And again, I haven't told you everything for nothing. One Piece is a long story with a lot of fun and extremely violent moments. Everyone goes there, even children and animals who are Oda's favorite victims to break our hearts 🤣🤣
We have heard so many great things and enjoyed the show so far. We definitely want to find some time so we can fully commit and binge the serious. Honestly, I'm excited that it isn't finished yet. It's always a bitter sweet feeling when you finish an anime. Thank you for your input!
The Anime isnt that long. Many scenes were artificially prolonged. Always flashbacks. In between repeated drawings, flashbacks, etc. This repeats itself. One Anime episode is 30min in theory but only 10-12min in reality of the progress. Its more like 600 episodes than 1100
Welcome aboard Nakamas! This Is a journey you Will not regreat tò have started! Be carefull on what you ask because even tla Little detail could spoil annexperience you Will Just love to live! About some of your question: - Shanks Is a Major character, yet quite elusive in so many ways. He Lost His arm in he Monster (a "SeaKing") First suddenly Attack - There are a lot of Devil's fruits Out there.. buy they're not the only Power force in the One piece world. So Maybe what Shanks used against the SeaKing... - Imho Manga remains the best version but it's up to you. ENJOY!
Thank you so much for this! Very helpful! Yeah, maybe we're asking a little bit too many questions 😂 we appreciate you for being here and answering some of our questions
just in case you're interested to check at least the episodes that the season 1 live-action covered, its within the first 110 episodes iirc and that live-action nerfed anime feats to make it less ridiculous but still ultra fantastical
@AstroKrushReactions currently speculation, the way things are going, nobody can tell who the end-game fight will be against. I have money on one particular character, but you won't see him in live action probably until season 3 or 4, so I won't say anything
You should hands down start the anime after you’re done with the Live Action Reactions! One Piece goes real quick…cause once you’re in, you’re in and it’s hard to stop! You’ll become fans real quick, I promise!
After we complete the Netflix adaptation, we're heading straight to the Anime! I think we never watched the anime because there was sooo many episodes and we felt discouraged. But, now we're ready 😅
FYI: It would take 2 whole months to watch all of the anime episodes + movies that are currently out if you committed 8 hours of every day to watching it.
Fun fact you only get in the Anime. Morgans Jaw was broken by Captain Black and the whole reason why his jaw has a metal plate. Dont worry about the many episodes of OP because many people after watching Netflix, cant stop watching OP. All those episodes are afterwards too short. xD Oh and please watch also the movies of OP. x3 But do NOT watch OP movie 8 and 9 because they are just bad short version of two Saga and movie 9 was rewritten with 2 characters who would appear waaay later! Better watch the series to get full context.
Duly noted! Thank you so much for the heads up on the movies on which ones to watch and not to watch 🙏 We definitely plan to binge watch the anime after we finish this Netflix adaptation!
They also explain everything a lot better in the anime but my honest opinion is that its the greatest story ever told. There is not a part of the anime I wasn't satisfied watching. Pure joy and happiness. The fan base is so massive because its hard not to want others to feel the freedom and joy one piece brings to your life. I'm not religious but i finally understand people that say jesus or god brings you so much joy you want to share it with others.
1:06 Yep, the anime is getting a remake while the original is still airing, and the manga is also still ongoing. The anime itself is pretty good but has some pacing issues. At first, it isn't bad, but once you get to around episodes 500-800, it starts getting kind of bad, and the quality dropped a little. However, after episode 892 and onwards, the quality skyrockets. Not that the animation used to be bad; it was average at worst and had some genuinely amazing moments in some areas. That said, the anime now is just so much better, but still, who wants to wait over 800 episodes? The new anime simply titled "the one piece" will be adapting the anime with better quality and less episode. Btw the reason why the anime has over 1100 episodes is because they are weakly anime that adapt one chapter of the manga per episodes unlike seasonal animes that adapt 2 or more chapters in an episodes.
Just for info: This obviously adapts the source material, i.e. the manga. So if you watch the anime, there might be differences (though tbf there are also a lot of changes to the manga). I wish you the best with the anime, I personally think it's bad because of it's pacing (and also animation quality). A lot of people don't mind, but if you ever feel that way, just switch to the manga imo, totally worth it! I've read a lot of fantasy and imo OP is the best story ever written.
@@AstroKrushReactions Definitely the manga. As I said, it's my fav story of all time. And Luffy is imo the best fictional character of all time. Both very obviously 10/10 for me. 👌 I think the LA is a solid 8/10 or so (though tbh I wouldn't give the East Blue part also no 10/10 in the manga, maybe something between 8 and 9). The anime is also still okay so early. I think pretty equal to the LA, some parts are better, some are worse. The problem is once the pacing and quality starts to dip. Overall I think the anime is maybe a 7 or so, because most of the episodes are just a 5 or 6 at most... with some extreme highs sprinkled in between. I think episode 1015 (which adapts chapter 1000) is the best anime episode of all time. But overall the lows are just too much for me 😢 But if you don't mind the pacing, the anime will be a lot of fun for you. A lot of people enjoy it a lot. I just have heard of many that gave up because of that and I always think it's sad that they just didn't switch to the manga in that case.
@@AstroKrushReactions It's a long journey. In the 1122 episodes, only about 90 or so episodes are filler. The anime does struggle with pacing issues, but the pay off is so damn worth it for the ending of certain arcs that you kind of just forgive toei animations for milking the show like they do. Remember; pacing issues are Toei, not one piece. Youre gonna be astonished at how well the casting is when you watch the anime, too. The casting is spot on. And the whole Garp situation is unique to the live action, that's one major difference, if you're looking for that specifically early on. He doesn't show up for super long in the anime. I just know you'd be questioning that when you get to it, better now to trim the expectations before you hop in.
Just FYI , for the moment the anime remake will only cover the arcs from the First season of the Live Action. it's a remake of East blue Saga , so likely only the first 44-45 episodes. While it's expected to drop sometimes in 2025, i think it's just better to start with the current anime, if already ready to dive into that magically world. The amount of episodes is only daunting at first, once you're into it and enthralled, you won't notice it. Now the Live Action is very good. It made some questionable choices .. some like other argues because of budget and time constraint , some i think were just questionable artistic choices and license. But overall it's a great experience, and chances are anyone that enjoy the Live Action will LOVE the anime
Luffy said he is going to get a crew better than shanks so he will have to defeat shanks to be the actual king of pirates. So yes. I bet that will be the absolute last story in one piece. And... gold roger never spence a single coin or jewl he amassed. Its all together in one piece on the last island in the grand line. If they can find it, they can have it 😊
Is the One Piece an actual treasure or is the 'treasure' the adventure of being free and going on adventures and meeting people, etc? Wait don't tell us! 😂
We love it! We'll definitely keep watching 2 episodes every week! Then once we finished the Netflix adaptation, we will jump over to the anime! And thank you. We appreciate you! 🙏
One Piece is in large part a mystery, so be careful waiting for the new version, because by that point the end of the original series might have happened and you'll get a lot of spoilers.
Honestly we usually watch EVERYTHING With subtitles. But on a past video we put them and someone asked if we could take them off. 😂 So we thought people would be annoyed seeing those on the video. But thank you! We'll add them back for ourselves!
I can't remember now! Was buggy's moves also devil fruit related? Like was his 'chop chop' , if I can recall it was, BUT I don't remember...great call out though, thank you!!
let me tell you you guys should just start watching anime then watching this on netflix live and i am not saying its bad on netflix nut its more amazing if directly start watching anime this is the one request i have for you guys
We definitely plan to binge watch the anime as well! Probably 4-5 episodes at a time and try to condense it down to a shorter video so it's not too long. Just not sure if people are interested in rewatching the anime with us or if we just watch it solo.
Definitely like the Netflix adaptation so far, so I have no doubts we would really enjoy the anime just as much if not more. Just got to figure out how to post it without over doing it with the amount of content.
@ Hey if you decide to do it, there is definitely an audience for it! Just be honest and tell us how you feel or what you think about things. Most reactors I’ve seen do two or three episodes at a time. (Three episodes for parts that flow naturally together and such). Copyright is a bit more strict on OP than some other anime as well, so watch for that. I won’t pretend there aren’t fans out there that are OP Puritans, (some are perfectly nice but others will treat any kind of criticism as blasphemy) ignore them and welcome to the cruise! Hope you enjoy it.
Seems like a lot of people really liked the live action. We're hooked regardless! After the live adaptation, we're jumping straight into the anime! Thank you so much for the heads up!
Right!? Again...we aren't nearly as educated in the world of One Piece as everyone else. But, that would definitely be an interesting turn of events if that theory were true. We will see! Can't wait!
This is by far the most successful and the most watchable hollywood anime adaptation. One piece is really something else
hollywood??
Netflix
Yes 🤣 those burnt Hollywood ones@@xCwieCHRISx
I mean western made
1000% need to watch the rest of the LA adaptation BUT from what we watched so far and the reviews or reactions online. Everyone seems to agree that this Netflix LA adaptation is really good!
"There's too many episodes until there's not enough."
^This is what ends up happening to people who give the anime a chance. Go for it.
Sometimes the pacing is a little slow ... but worth it ... also the anime does a better job of showing off their powers
Agreed! It's addictive!
Take note, the series literally said that devil fruit users CAN'T SWIM. ....but Shanks swam to save Luffy, meaning whatever he did, it was NOT a devil fruit, but something else entirely.
Oh! Great call out! We didn't even catch that, but now that you mention it, it makes COMPLETE sense! So curious to see this pan out honestly.
Well to be fair, he showed up completely dry on that boat.
@@pixelmicrocat No, he wasn't dry. But, regardless, it IS something easily mistaken due to how they shot the scene.
Exactly. But you say that people are like "stop spoiling" when it's the same episode they establish Devil Fruit weaknesses
@ I didn't say anything like that.
10:30 In the manga, there's actually a character that takes the wanted photos of the pirates lol. And sometimes he messes up while doing it so they have to use hand drawn paintings instead. It's so funny
Do they show that in the anime too? We would love to see that animated!
@@AstroKrushReactions guys.. what if telo you that even for manga readers Shanks Is still One of the most misteriosi characters... Even nowdays ;)
I gotta say, I hadn't watched the anime before the live action, and because I watched this show, I decided to start the anime - and we are on episode 700 and something - we started about 4 months ago 😅
The journey is so fucking worth it!
Its fun watching other people who dont know One Piece and discovers its greatness. 😊
This show is amazing! We can only imagine how great the anime is! 💯
I'm so ready to start watching the anime! The live action is so good! We love the characters and the world within One Piece!
I started watching the anime after ... the live action ... all cuz I couldn't wait for more live action ... it won't disappoint
@@benjaminroe311ify Chapter 100 of manga. Episode 60 of anime I think

So far the show is amazing! After we complete this LA adaptation, we're going straight to the anime! Thank you so much for watching btw! We appreciate you! 🙏
I love your editing guys! G😂
Thank you!
3:02 how much treasure? Even after 1000 eps anime we don't see yet what is one piece is😂
That's hilarious 😂 means the treasure is just THAT great! Anime has been running for a while now! And we're here for it!
That's one thing we were curious about so that you so much for clearing that up for us! It's great so far!
Yeah! Definitely feel like you have to make the final boss somewhat impactful. Can't wait to start the anime!
We are all searching for that One Piece in our life, some may find it and some might never. Welcome to the world of One Piece to both of you..
You're not lying! This show is amazing! Can't wait to see how the anime plays out as well! Thank you for your kind words of wisdom 🙏
We keep hearing this and honestly it's super exciting. We have been looking for more anime to dive into.
Watch out potential spoilers VVV. and speculation.VVV
The Buggy and Shanks dynamic/rivalry is very fun to me.
Very happy to find your reaction to this show because I've watched literally every other one on this website lmfao
I'm glad you decided to watch along with us as well! Hopefully it's worthwhile for you! We appreciate you 🙏
If you start watching One Piece, your channel will grow very quickly. I know several channels that grew very quickly because of One Piece.
It's my absolute favorite anime ever
And you're in store for a lot of awesome storytelling.
24:48 Yes, now you understand why the series has been on for so long 🤣 I love it though and the Live Action nailed it. Great reaction too you guys.
That is so true and actually makes sense if you think about it. They could do this forever ♾️ and we're here for it!
No live action has presented such a passionate cast true to the source material
Couldn't agree more! This show is phenomenal!
Hey man, I've watch some reactions where the didn't even know it was about pirates, so you've got that goin' for ya.
😂 that's wild that some people didn't know at least SOMETHING about it! We do love anime and watch all kinds of anime and collect figurines. We just both never actually say down to watch one piece. Knew of him but that's it

He was acting stupid and doubting himself. He just needed a good smack in the face to bring him back to his senses.
@@AstroKrushReactions Most other people are shocked that he was being hit... lol
10:30 **kinda not really a spoiler**
You'd think a guy who goes up to many powerful and dangerous pirates would be some buff soldier or something, but no, it's a dude named Attach. He kinda looks like a really skinny white suburban dad with a mustache. He only appeared once in the manga/anime, but he's pretty cool in my opinion.
You're saying that theres an actual person for this in the show!? That's amazing honestly. 😂
One piece isn't just getting redrawn, it's getting entirely remade. New voice actors, new music, new animation, new STUDIO. It's not even made by the same people lol.
From the art I've seen from the original, it seemed fine to me honestly.
it's the same value of Japanese Yen so I think it sound be about 50k

The scene where Child Luffy says good bye to Shanks always makes me tear up now... It's just...wow...
I think it'll be even more impactful when we realize we probably aren't going to see him for a long time.

It's one of the greatest stories ever told.
welcome to one piece family, yeah baby luffy got your hair. enjoy bro&sis😊

Where are the rest of the episodes?!
(But it's still okay!)
Please enjoy your journey in this world. It is one like no other!
Thank you so much for this! VERY insightful and useful for us newbies! The Netflix live adaptation is amazing so far so we can only imagine how great the anime will be when we jump into that afterwards! Thank you for watching along as well, we really do appreciate you!

Out of all 3 (manga, anime, and LA) which one was your favorite?
Are you guys gonna upload binged episodes?? I'd be happy to watch a compilation, re-binge-watch with you 😊
For the live action adaptation, One Piece was the last in my list to see succeed.
Yeah, that's what a lot of people were saying as well. Definitely want to finish this Netflix adaptation and jump into the anime afterwards!
Alvita's bounty is 5,000,000 Berries, which is the currency in the One Piece Universe.
Do you know what this would translate to for us 😅
@@AstroKrushReactionsBerries are based in Japanese Yen, so around 32 000 dollars in today's money
@@AstroKrushReactions Berries are the OP world equivalent to Japanese yen, so Alvida's bounty would be worth ¥5,000,000 or $31,993 roughly
Where can I watch the full reaction?
@AstroKrushReactions
If you watch the LA then move to the anime then it's no problem ^^
But yeah quite a lot of thing go away to slim it down to a 8 ep show format.
But I feel it's nice to begin with the LA and then while watching the anime getting more information and being like " oh I have more puzzle pieces I get it better now"
I hope this answers your question 😀
This first episode covers about 10 anime episodes more or less.
Oh! Thank you so much for this! This is so helpful, we were curious about that
Hi, I really appreciated your reactions.
Its more like 600 episodes than 1100
After we finish the Netflix adaptation, we will definitely be jumping into the anime!
Welcome aboard Nakamas! This Is a journey you Will not regreat tò have started!
Be carefull on what you ask because even tla Little detail could spoil annexperience you Will Just love to live!
About some of your question:
- Shanks Is a Major character, yet quite elusive in so many ways. He Lost His arm in he Monster (a "SeaKing") First suddenly Attack
- There are a lot of Devil's fruits Out there.. buy they're not the only Power force in the One piece world.
She captured the small boat. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You're not wrong! 😂
just in case you're interested to check at least the episodes that the season 1 live-action covered, its within the first 110 episodes iirc and that live-action nerfed anime feats to make it less ridiculous but still ultra fantastical
That's crazy they were able to condense it so much! Do you feel they missed anything important?
Wow you guys have missed the wagon long ago
For real... It's Never to late though, is what they say
really good reaction video
Thank you! We appreciate you for clicking on the video and leaving a nice comment!
That is the end goal, Luffy and Shanks will have to face off against each other. And even now we don't know if it'll be as friends or enemies
Is this confirmed or speculation
Thank you for this! We will 100% watch the anime after this Netflix adaptation!
16:01 Netflix Rules: Must wear shoes on set. Otherwise they would be wearing era appropriate footwear
This is such a great call out! Never really thought about that tbh
Fun fact you only get in the Anime.
Morgans Jaw was broken by Captain Black and the whole reason why his jaw has a metal plate. Dont worry about the many episodes of OP because many people after watching Netflix, cant stop watching OP. All those episodes are afterwards too short. xD
Oh and please watch also the movies of OP. x3
But do NOT watch OP movie 8 and 9 because they are just bad short version of two Saga and movie 9 was rewritten with 2 characters who would appear waaay later! Better watch the series to get full context.
Duly noted! Thank you so much for the heads up on the movies on which ones to watch and not to watch 🙏 We definitely plan to binge watch the anime after we finish this Netflix adaptation!
"This looks pretty good so far"
Literally 3 seconds into the show
When you know, you know 😂
@AstroKrushReactions facts
Truthfully cannot wait to complete this live action series so we can begin the anime and compare the 2! It's such a great show honestly!
A lot of people are saying the anime goes into depth way more so we are definitely thinking about picking it up after we finish the live action!
One Piece anime is going to have a remake called "The One Piece" which will fix everything (like bad pacing, censorship, etc.).
😱 that's pretty exciting though! Once we finish this Netflix adaptation we want to watch the anime!
What's your favorite then? Out of the manga, anime, and now the Netflix adaptation?
@@AstroKrushReactions Definitely the manga. As I said, it's my fav story of all time. And Luffy is imo the best fictional character of all time. Both very obviously 10/10 for me. 👌
I think the LA is a solid 8/10 or so (though tbh I wouldn't give the East Blue part also no 10/10 in the manga, maybe something between 8 and 9).
But overall the lows are just too much for me 😢
But if you don't mind the pacing, the anime will be a lot of fun for you. A lot of people enjoy it a lot. I just have heard of many that gave up because of that and I always think it's sad that they just didn't switch to the manga in that case.
The original anime holds up currently. Its real good.
Yeah! That's what a lot of people are saying! After we complete the Netflix adaptation, we're going straight to the Anime! 😂
After we finish the live action adaptation of One Piece, we are 1000% jumping over to the Anime!
@AstroKrushReactions
The author said "no. It not the jouney n friends made along the way. Theres an actual treasure."
Great reaction! Keeo watching the series pleaseee
We love it! We'll definitely keep watching 2 episodes every week! Then once we finished the Netflix adaptation, we will jump over to the anime! And thank you. We appreciate you! 🙏
I'm a new subscriber. I hope you watch more from you both. Join the adventures
We appreciate you for taking the time to watch along with us! Hopefully it will all be worthwhile for you! Thank you very much 🙏
One Piece is in large part a mystery, so be careful waiting for the new version, because by that point the end of the original series might have happened and you'll get a lot of spoilers.
Honestly after we finish this Netflix adaptation we are going to watch the already existing anime! Show is too great to wait for.
NEW NAKAMA😊
Thank you so much for being here!
Please put on the subtitles when you watch the live action so you would know what are they saying
Honestly we usually watch EVERYTHING With subtitles. But on a past video we put them and someone asked if we could take them off. 😂 So we thought people would be annoyed seeing those on the video. But thank you! We'll add them back for ourselves!
this isnt sayin much lol but just to LYK, one piece episodes are like 15 minutes if u skip the intro and outro lol
welcome to the one piece fam:)
Once we finish the live action series. We're going straight to the anime! Even if the episodes were 45mins, we don't care, we're hooked!!!! 😂
Yeah that was all they say ...its so long hehehehe
Luffy's moves are all gum gum, cause the fruit he ate was gum gum
I can't remember now! Was buggy's moves also devil fruit related? Like was his 'chop chop' , if I can recall it was, BUT I don't remember...great call out though, thank you!!
@@AstroKrushReactions Yep, he called out chop chop cannon, and ate the chop chop fruit.
next video when??
Every weekend we will upload new videos! 🙏
@AstroKrushReactions once a week?
let me tell you you guys should just start watching anime then watching this on netflix live and i am not saying its bad on netflix nut its more amazing if directly start watching anime this is the one request i have for you guys
We definitely plan to binge watch the anime as well! Probably 4-5 episodes at a time and try to condense it down to a shorter video so it's not too long. Just not sure if people are interested in rewatching the anime with us or if we just watch it solo.
I think u two both need the subtitles to hear and understand the show better
We literally do! We were being considerate because someone once asked us to take it off 😂 thank you!
The fishman remake takeaway from a lot of funny jokes! But always watch what you want!
The series is amazing and we're loving every minute of it
@@AstroKrushReactions So great to hear! Enjoy the ride my friends! :)
You could just watch the anime until you catch up to where the live action left off (episode 45) and see if you want to continue from there
Definitely like the Netflix adaptation so far, so I have no doubts we would really enjoy the anime just as much if not more.
Hope you enjoy it.
the story is altered by a lot compared to original so good luck watching live action
Seems like a lot of people really liked the live action. We're hooked regardless! After the live adaptation, we're jumping straight into the anime! Thank you so much for the heads up!
Shanks the final boss good theory
Right!? Again...we aren't nearly as educated in the world of One Piece as everyone else. But, that would definitely be an interesting turn of events if that theory were true. We will see! Can't wait!
❤
🙏🙏
Please react to *The Breathtaking World of One Piece* video
Absolutely! It's now added to the list of things to watch! Thank you so much!
they really did up the cheesy levels in the live action
Was it like that in the anime? I personally think it works for this Netflix adaptation honestly.
