In the retracted position, the open end of the spout needs a flapper plate that falls over to close off the open spout in order to prevent mud that is flung off the back wheels of the tractor going into the spout and ending up in the grain. The open ends of the folded auger at the old also needs an right angled plate to prevent mud from going into the auger.
Great idea! At Elmer’s we are always listening to the customer. Keep watching, who knows Elmer’s might be the 1st to come out with that as well. We demonstrate, we listen, we evaluate and we respond. Cheers!
@@joewilkens739 Joe, at 71 years of age it is much easier for me to look right than left. Also the seat swivels more to the right and the hydraulic controls are right at your fingertips.
2 seasons ago our local jd dealer asked us if we wanted to demo an elmers as they had one running around the area trying to spark some interest. We're in Southern Minnesota so we tried one for a day. They had a 8370 on it so we didnt have to unhook from our cart. Im the main cart operator and i really liked it. It didnt have the features like the one you're demoing but it did have the joystick and ipad. It wasnt set up for the unload auger to do its thing so i had to use the joystick and hold the button. So maybe that part was still in the works. It was different to get used to compared to our 1196. I liked it but the rest our crew kept saying that was an combine auger destroyer and wanted nothing to do with it. Oh well! One of our neighbors did end up buying it and they love it. Now our jd dealer is selling them and they've sold quite a few.
Great video Tony. Just 1 observation is that the spout on the cart unloads to the right hand side so maybe you can't keep the spout unfolded whilst driving beside the combine???? and would you have to fold the spout down every time after unloading the cart into the trailer. A lot of the farmers on youtube unload on the left hand side but is this a big deal???.
@williamvincik when used appropriately tracks will last much longer than most people would expect and with low maintenance. Tracks have improved exponentially over the last few years.
Be sweet if the mfg would add trash bars to the rims to throw the dust and stubble out of the trough instead of letting it sand the paint down and rust. All the tech in farming is exploding to help farmers control inventory and manage their crops better. Next the carts will have moisture meters and bushel calibrators in them to double check and verify combine yields.
Unless they’ve changed them alot in 2 years inside cross members break constantly, oil bath bins are total trash between the clear cups leaking to letting water in oil and seals leaking, frames cracking around load cells.
John, Elmer’s does offer an electric tarp, however this cart will be demoed to many different producers during corn harvest and it’s just one more thing that would need to be hooked up if it was electric. For this same reason we typically don’t have cameras on the demo carts either. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Matt, Elmer’s does offer carts without the joystick, but once you try the joystick and all the automation it is pretty hard to want just the tractor hydraulics.
@@HaulMasterBrad was not out to bad mouth the cart just what i rather have i ran a cart that had just tractor hyds on all the auger and gate controls with a scale was prettty nice

Sorry Tony. I'm tired of watching equipment sales pitches. Been watching for several years. It's not just you. Larsen's, Brown's, everyone. Just wanna see day to day farming. Not sales pitches.
And how do you think they can give you farming videos. Demos like this gives content and helps them afford to spend the time giving you something to watch.

Has to be one of the best walk-thru demos I've ever seen on a YT channel. Will be really interesting to see how it performs.
Yeah this guy knows this product bolt by bolt!

That is one impressive cart with a ton of features and that guy knew that cart inside and out.
Another great Canadian manufacturing company! Great promo!
That gentlemen knew his product well and seems well thought out with the app and features! Awesome!
I must say that was very informative walk through! I’m glad Brad went through the benefits of a right had unload system.
They packed a ton of great features into that cart. Can’t wait to see it in action.
The salesman was great 👍
Love the knowledge and passion of the demonstration guy
The cart and the operator talk through awesome really pretty slick
Best cart in the business!
Wish he had mentioned the bigger sizes and the new mother bins they offer now.
Enjoy it.

The cart has a manual tarp. The Millennial farmer would not know how to operate that cart.

Man that cart is saweet tony, look forward to seeing it in the field, thanks for sharing
I work for a trucking company in Winnipeg. The tracks come to us from Iowa and we deliver them to the Elmers plant in Altona Manitoba.
That’s a Well thought out Investment if It’s Affordable!
The one we demoed 2 falls ago was 128000 for the 1300 and it lacked a few things this one has

The automatic folding makes it really easy to fold and unfold every time.
