Hi! James, you are not located in Minnesota are you because I would like to bring my 2019 Honda HR-V for re-calibration since it was involved in a front accident and needed both camera and radar to be calibrate. I purchased the vehicle after the rebuilt and the shop had not really perform the calibration so within a days of owning it, the system shows up on the dash like Christmas lights. In short, how much it will cost to have my re calibrated? Dealer or no dealer shop? Thank you and you're doing a great job teaching your students.
Looking over the setup instructions it wasn't so difficult to prepare the vehicle for the calibration process but I just don't have the tools. I am a quality technician and normally I performing a lot of calibration on machines, measuring hand tools, measuring equipment, weight scales, Coordinate Measuring Machines, etc... for our medical company so seeing the setup process is a breeze. I wish I had the tools so I can perform my own calibration on the Honda Sensing system. Maybe I might change my career and go into automotive tech since nowadays 99% of cars/trucks will be equip with some sort of electronic. You don't just takes your vehicle to the mechanic shop anymore, it's mechanic/electronic. LOL
James, I have one question, do you have to clear the fault codes from the vehicle before you can perform the radar and camera calibration? As I've mention it on my other comment, I got a 2019 Honda HR-V , been in a frontal accident, was repaired and replace with new radar and now needs the Honda Sensing to be calibrate but the shop told me they were not able to clear one, P2583-64 which is related to the front millimeter wave radar. They think it may be wiring issue and needs to dig more into it. I was curious and google the code and discover that there's a procedures for re calibrating the radar itself but the shop had no clues...telling me it might be faulty wires...assuming because it has been in an accident. Thing is when I first bought it, the Honda Sensing system were working then now is not. Thanks
