That paper that comes in Amazon boxes would be great for this! I made an entire journal out of it but it's thin so I think I'll glue some pages together.
My sister found a sewing machine and a beautiful hand made wooden cabinet at a garage sale for $75 for me! I wanted the machine for this! If it doesn't work, the cabinet itself is worth it. It has a fold up table I can use for crafting. Wish me luck!
My sister found a Viking sewing machine for me at a Goodwill store. I took it to my local quilt shop where they have a sewing machine repair service to have it checked over. There was nothing wrong with it. You could have the machine gone over.

Maybe there’s a sewing center in your area that does machine repairs. They could service your machine - clean, oil and adjust.
